  1. Dont know where you are in Devon, but my son runs out of Bridgwater, has his own motor business doing all the diagnostics for the main dealers, also does tuning. If you are near enough I know he will be more than happy enough to help/advise.
  2. My Son-in-Law Craig is into all this modding with LED's Etc, and does a grand job, trouble is he needs a set to start off, I keep my eye out for anything coming up that I can start him off on. Having seen the excellent work he did with the MR2 lighting, I just know he will do as good a job as OneEighty.
  3. Did you go for the 370 rims as well? Definately 19" seems to full the arch's really nice. Not had the chance to drive her yet to see what it handles like on 19's, to be honest dont care, just love the look
  4. Of all the mods i have done to this car and my previous Jap cars, the wheels have smitten me most. Just really love how they totally transformed the car, and although I am biased, I do think they suit the 350 better than the 370. Spent ages trying to get a set, but they seem to get snapped up quickly.
  5. They have gone to a good home guys and if it helps to get another Zed on the road, then its all worth it
  6. Falcon engineering, top class guys who really look after your motor, their mechanics are top of the tree as well
  7. Thanks guys, I shall bear everything in mind, but when I think about it in the cold light of day, its very very rare the zed is away from me, and not that I think about it, when I had the MR2 which had some very very desirable wheels on, I never had locks on them, but same situation, very rarely left my site. Once again thanks
  8. Thought about this last night, and I have come to the same conclusion as Dan. She spends most of her time locked away in the garage during the week, and weekends, never really goes anywhere near where the chav's hang out, and yes Dan you are correct.......not heard of wheels going missing, for donkeys years. So am giving the locking wheel nuts a miss. Thanks guys for digging out the links, much appreciated.
  9. Cheers Keyser....... Fine words from the master himself
  10. Thanks for the kind words guys...... Think they are my buy of the year
  11. dont know what went wrong, always used the same process and never an issue, but for 40mins tonight they would not show up. So in temper went and cooled off in the garage for a bit. Came back, did exactly the same thing and it was all fine!!!!!1 Thats computers for you !!
  12. Cheers buddy, yes its restored my passion in her, looking forward to a little punt out tomorrow.
  13. Moderators....... Could you please lock this thread as the wheels are now sold. Thanks

    DIY Vinyl Wrap

Hats off to you bud for attempting it, doing a superb job there. Remember when I wrapped my spoiler and rear hoop on the MR2, was a total pig to do, so I now the learing curve you are going throughj, but really does look superb.
  15. dam jap workmanship, I have a 10Lb lump hammer in the garage, I'll knock it into shape in the morning
  16. Well finally managed to grab a couple of hours to myself to fit the new wheels, so thought I would just do some picture whoring Thats with the Eibach springs with a -30mm drop. Only minor issue I MAY have, and we will find out tomorrow on our little trip to the seaside.......... Rears are 35 profile Fronts are 40 profile So not sure how TRC is going to like it. Full specs are: Rears = 275/35/19 Fronts = 245/40/19 (Still have 20mm spacer fitted) Bit of kerbing on them from previous lady owner!!!!! but unfortunately thats going to have to wait until after JAE2015 as they cannot fit me in. Then I need to decide on colour, although I do like the shadow chrome.
  17. NOW SOLD - Thanks to all who enquiried Removed from the car today as I dont need the rears. Not a lot I can say about them, they are in excellent condition, I have had no adverse effects from running them, the stance did look a lot better with them on. Plenty of thread on the stud when fitted, not like some where the nut is right at the end, these had 7 or 8 threads showing. There is no markings on them, so obviously unbranded. Dont know what these usually go for, so I will start them at £40 collected, £45 delivered. Payment either via Direct Bank Transfer (Prefer) or Paypay as gift. By all means throw me a PM if you have any questions.
  18. **** NOW SOLD **** I have just upgraded to new wheels, and am putting my 350 Rays up for sale. Booted with Michelin Pilot Support Sport tyres in nearly new condition, both fronts and rear measure approx. 6mm tread. The tyres still have the sticky on them from the dirty great big labels they put on them. I wouldn’t be bold enough to describe the rims as A1 condition, after all they are a few years old, but I would go so far as to say they are in excellent condition, there are a few blisters on them, but nothing that stands out and hits you in the face. There are a couple of stone chips here and there. The main fact is that they are not kerbed. There is evidence that the "Tyre Fitter" did not take care when fitting the tyres. All in all they are good enough to fit straightaway, and not let anyone's car down. The internal faces are just as clean as the main faces. All the genuine Nissan centre caps are in place and are in good condition. I am based in Darlington (North East), the package is available immediately. Obvously I would prefer to have collection, but if anyone wants to arrange their own courier, I am happy to pack them as best I can, protecting the main faces. So the technical bits FRONT WHEELS & TYRES: Size: 225/45/18 Tyres: Michelin Pilot Super Sport Depth: Approx 6mm REAR WHEELS & TYRES: Size: 245/45/18 Tyres: Michelin Pilot Super Sport Depth: Approx 6mm The Pictures: (Note: in order for any potential buyer to have a really good look at the wheels and tyres, I have uploaded some super high resolution images to my OneDrive, the link can be found below) Front wheels and Tyres Rear wheels and Tyres Best Image I could get showing depth: Now for the main bit, the money. Given the amount of tread on the tyres and the general condition of the wheels, I think a fair price would be £350. The tyres alone would come to more than that. I am happy to take payment either via Bank Transfer (preferred) or Paypal. If Paypal and its not by "Gift/Family" then the buyer would need to add 4% to cover the paypal charges, of course CASH is always most welcome if a local buyer wanted them. Local viewers always welcome, there may even be a cuppa at hand. Link to the very High Resolution files (120mb): https://dl.dropboxus.../350 Wheels.zip Thanks for looking
  19. Dont know if anyone else is having issues posting images. I am trying to do a For sale notice, and I add my images the same way as I have always done, through the IMAGE box, but all images are showing as broken links. Testing this by pasting the given url into IE and Firefox, and image is clearly there. Tested by adding image to a diferent forum and its fine. But try and add to the 350z form, and back to displaying as a broken link. I have tried the link, both using my dropbox and Onedrive account. Thanks
  20. Cheers guys, just needed that little push so 20mm it is. Incidentally, do you know where I can get a set of appropriate locking wheel nuts for these wheels. Nissan want £80+ McGuard's listing are a little contradicting, and I dont think they look right.
  21. Managed to grab myself some 370 rims which I totally love. I did have the Rays on the 350, with 25mm spacers on the rear, and 20mm on the front. So yesterday/today I finally managed to get time to fit them, backs are totally spot on having removed the 25mm spacers. Front, removed the 20mm spacers and torqued up the nuts, clearance on the Brembo's is probably about 1 - 1.5mm. So i tested fitted some 5mm spacers I had laying around, this gave me a decent clearance but wheel was now inside the arch. So the questions are: Should I stop fannying about and just stick the 20mm spacers on and have done. Wheels are probaly just out of flush with the wing OR Is it worth the time to get some, say 10mm hubcentric spacers and fit those. Would like to know what others have done using the same wheels on the 350? Thanks for reading
  22. Mods....... Could you lock this one please, all sorted now thanks to that Fantastic Awesome guy Adrian He came to the rescue like a knight on a charger....... and now he actually does have the white charger :-) Thanks Adrian, and love the new motor.
  23. Well normally I dont really subscribe to these "Appreciation" threads, not because I'm a grumpy bugger, but because if buying goods you expect a certain level of service, and I know all our traders offer the best service there is out there. But on this occassion I just wanted to say a massive thanks to Adrian, who I know went above and beyond the highest level of service a trader can give. Having posted a couple of times trying to get some 370 wheels nuts, for the wheels I purchased for my 350, Adrian realised I was having issues and stepped into the breach. He not only offered to supply me immediately, a set of used 370 Wheel nuts, but then went on to say they were "Free of Charge", which totally blew me away. These guys are traders, and they do that not for the love of it, but because its the way they earn a living, so to offer these FOC, in my book, was well above the call of duty. Adrian, really appreciate you helping me out, and as I expressed to you earlier, more than happy to pay for them, but you would'nt hear of it, so I like to say a massive thanks for your help, and will donate some money to the club.. Once again many thanks Graeme
  24. Have you tried LV? we have a couple of cars through them and they do seem really good, even just gave us a £68 rebate which was well unexpected. They didnt come up with a price when I went on the comparison sites. But I just went to their own site and did it through that, beat all the quotes I'd had. Been with them a couple of years now, and now massive hike after the first year. Definately worth calling these companies and explaining that as a soldier, the vehicle is going to more secure than 80% of any other car around...... armed guards and the lot
