  1. Ahhh the BBC and their overly bureaucratic political correctness moral compass. I know it's a paid for service, but they really go OTT with their touchy feely stuff. That said, rumours are he punched a female producer - if that's the case, that's not on. However, rumours are rumours. If he has been suspended for being a prat then fair play - if it's just more overly tight PCness then I wouldn't be surprised. I guess JC has had one too many blunders recently... Shame, but if he does get axed from the BBC, people will follow - I will be one of them. Yes he's a bit of a blundering buffoon but that's why I like him.
  2. Not an apple fan, but I'm also not particularly interested in smart watches. I'm even less interested at those prices! That's a lot of goodies for the Zed
  3. I cannot work out if these are sarcastic posts or whether there is genuinely an item out there called the 'eyeball', I thought I'd share this moment of weakness with everyone rather than consulting Google. Mk1 eyeball is a often used army/forces/engineering term for - "using your own eyes rather than relying on instruments"
  4. The GPS ones are updated via a database so you'll either need to manually update it, or if you have a connected one it will auto update. You will generally have to pay for a yearly subscription to update the GPS locations of the cameras. Laser detectors are pretty pointless as by the time it has detected a laser all it will do is confirm you have been clocked at the speed that you are doing. Laser jammers are illegal but I know some people do use them. I have an old Origin B2 - I find it useful as a reminder of the speed limit, and means I can concentrate on the road rather than my speed - if I could have a HUD that would be just a good though.
  5. It is just an HDR shot. Here is a pre processed shot:
  6. Thanks Ed from Divine Detail gave her a good once over back in November got rid of all the swirls. I wish I had access to better cleaning equipment - but still, you make do!
  7. Gave a bit of a clean - I haven't got access to a hose or anything so I rely on going up a flight of steps to fill the bucket up!: For a 9 year old car she comes up nicely:
  8. Sounds like a nightmare Rabbit I still go to the gym (couldn't live without it!) and play computer games on occasion, and tinker on the Zed, however we still do our share of the housework, I cook, and hoover/dust, take the bins out, my wife washes and cleans the kitchen for example. We split things and share responsibilities - I look after the finances, and she's good at chasing up suppliers and organising events/trips etc.. teamwork. Sounds like you're really unhappy How long have you been married?
  9. Getting the new bits for my Zed fitted Going to Cyprus to see family and to celebrate Easter. Going to Italy in June to celebrate a friend's wedding and to have a bit of a holiday Road trip around France to see family, and see some friends (1,500 miles in the Zed through many mountain passes CANNOT WAIT!) Trip to Dubai to see some friends and have a bit of a break. Christmas in Ireland with brother in law and family. Plus new Avengers movie and lots of other movies coming out this year. Hopefully also getting close to buying a house by the end of the year and getting our flat rented. 2016 is going to be bloody busy!
  10. Massive thanks to Mitz who was particularly light speed in not only getting back to my questions but shipping - I almost received the items before even clicking on buy! (I wish!). I'm expecting more bits but can't wait to get these fitted
  11. I might as well just give you a copy of my credit card....
  12. My Son works on Crossrail & LTR for Vinci as a trainee Commercial Manager, he really enjoys it. Great! Nice to hear he's enjoying himself - it is an amazing project to be working on.
  13. I work for Crossrail (£15bn infrastructure project in London - i.e. new trainline going across London all the way to Heathrow and Reading).
  14. I saw this the other day and whilst the P1 is just ridiculous, that Corvette driver is pretty nifty as seems to catch up with the P1 on the corners - which leads me to believe the P1 driver not to be THAT skilled.... Cool vid!
  15. I doubt you'd have beaten or been so close to an Astra VXR though..... It's amazing how quick off the mark diesels are - especially large capacity diesels. Also I've heard that the RS4s aren't all equal either.
  16. I'd love that, but it's a little bit rich for me I wouldn't mind up to maybe £100 more than my budget, but if that is close to £1000 then that is a little OTT! Thanks though much appreciated!
  17. Thanks for the suggestion - I was expecting those 2 brands to pop up.
  18. Hi all, Rear discs need replacing and whilst the front discs are still okay, I will probably upgrade them too. So can I have suggestions for Front and Rear Discs and pad combo please. Whilst I'm at it, I will fit some braided lines, so please feel free to suggest those too. I have UK spec GT with Brembos. I do a bit of fast road, the occasional track day, but many long road trips (i.e. to the mountains, and in France). So I do give my brakes a good bit of punishment despite living in London. Budget is around £500 but open to explore options. Cheers, Will
  19. I personally feel it's made the car more responsive to the throttle and having that extra bit of torque does sharpen it up a little. You're not going to make a huge amount of power, but it just helps to get the most out of your mods and also just lets the car behave the way it should have been out of the factory.
  20. Gave you a flash and a beep at a roundabout around lakeside.
