Personally it didn't bother me if it was a jdm or uk car. I really wanted one with a body kit and wouldn't even consider it unless it was white or red. That kind of really limited the field anyway. But like with all cars you really don't know how good they are until you have a decent look at them, jdm or uk.

Nothing wrong with a jdm...... Apart from the indicator and wiper stalks being the other way round.... It's actually driving me crazy lately😡

On my import Insurance difference is about £80. Tax is £280 a year. Battery posts are different and battery is smaller. Lots of labels in Japanese. No clock, indicator stalk is on the right hand side and the wipers are on the left (quite annoying if you drive different vehicles). However mine has a few nice unique mods on it like a kakimoto exhaust, prodrive alloys and underseat lights. All in all I'd say don't let it being an import put you off, I looked at plenty of uk cars that weren't in as good as condition as mine.

Hi guys, just a little help needed on this one if you can. My fathers just put a deposit down on a new Toyota land cruiser and is looking to sell his 07 Mercedes e280 estate. The dealer has only offered him £7k for it so he was thinking about selling it privately but we're not sure how much to advertise it for. Had a look on autotrader etc but they're pretty few and far between especially as this has only done 33k miles. I think it's going to go against him that it's a 3.5ltr petrol but it's got all the toys and is in very good condition. Any ideas what to advertise it for ?

The difference in weave doesn't bother me at all... You've really got to see these in the flesh to appreciate how good these look. Besides I'm not sure if they could get the weave exactly the same without dipping them both together. Yes the process is really labour intensive with all the prep needed

Definatly recommend a credit card for doing the side repeaters after fitting most of my kit today. Fairplay they all look really good

Just got my parts back from Aquagraphix..... I've got to say they look stunning. AquaGraphix tried some pretty unique colour schemes out for me..... But it was the gold weave that looked best by miles. On a side note also discovered this was in the car lol

Yeah from reading your posts about it in the past I'm thinking about swapping the terminals but I'm a complete idiot when it comes to using spanners. How hard is it to change the terminals?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone can help me. I've searched the forum and can find plenty on jdm battery specifics but nothing relating to actual size. So I'm trying to find out what size battery can fit in a zed. My tiny jdm battery appears to be on its last legs and as I don't really use it as a daily drive I'm hoping to get something that will survive being parked up for 1-2 weeks over the winter. The exact replacement for my battery size wise is this and it also has the jap posts etc http://www.tayna.co.uk/Type-054-Varta-Asia-Car-Battery-P3201.html But speaking to the guys at Tanya they said that it really might not be up to the job (which is my worry) They recommend this battery http://www.tayna.co.uk/Optima-Yellow-Top-YTS-2.7RJ-P3804.html I'm not really worried about the price because it certainly seems man enough, but I'm worried that it might not fit due to the length being 50mm bigger than my current one. When I was looking at Zeds insurance between uk and an import only differed by £50 -£80. Didn't put me off buying an imported model.

This happened to me too.

Couple of things my import has that gives it away that it's imported.... it doesn't have a mph on the speedo, it has square number plates, all the writing on signs like airbags and golf bag instructions are in Japanese. Granted these can be changed tho ....... If your not sure just ask the seller. It will also say on his log book
