Oh man, the youtube channels made by cyclists with cameras strapped to their heads are the worst! Who on earth wears a camera with the sole intention of capturing other peoples mistakes? 99% of the time the "mistakes" are not even mistakes anyway, those channels annoy the hell out of me. Trolling them in the comments is quite entertaining tho. I also have a bit of a thing for watching road rage videos where cyclists get owned, also entertaining.

Also DE is faster up the 1/4 mile Really??

Why does my Zed seem to polarise reactions?
nowhereboy replied to twobears's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I get this sort of reaction nearly every time i go out in the 350Z. It's middle aged men in saloons that are the worst by far, forget boy racers. In a 30 I tend to slow down even more, especially if there's a dual carrageway coming up. Wait for them to try and overtake me aggresively then I'll boot it and leave them standing (up to speed limit obviously). Maybe not the best way to deal with them but it's sure satisfying -
haha! Reminds me of something that happened to my mam last week. She was helping me put a carpet in my living room and she slipped with the stanley knife and litteraly jabbed it into her arm. The blood was squirting out a good few feet away from her, I can laugh about it now but it was really scary. Turned out she hit an artery! it also turns out I'm useless in an emergancy

Say "YEAH" if you have recently pressed the magic button!

It works both ways really, the general vibe I got from this thread was if you turn it off you're a tyre burning hooligan. Retaliation was inevitable! -
Well thats a nice educated opinion! Know nothing about it but dislike it anyway, exellent

Or smoother gear changes, I use budget tyres and I've never had an issue. Cheeky git! haha. It cuts in all the time, even at 4,000 rpm when accelerating in second gear etc. -

I'm currently using kumho ku39's, had no problems at all once the traction control is off, they have a load of grip and perfrom very well. I had the same problem with my previous tyres and they were falcons Possible problem with my traction control? I don't know, either way I hate the feeling of it kicking in when I'm pushing on along a B road or something. -

Mine has a habbit of kicking in under acceleration and when changing from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. For that reason I tend to just turn it off. I didn't realize it was such a big deal to be honest? The car still feels very planted without it on and it gives loads of warning before trying to spit you out anyway.... -
Odd, as both those cars have the same engine, gearbox, suspension and many other same parts. Mad what a diff and proper steering does to a car hey !?! Yeah but DC5 has wider track, different cams, different pistons, different inlet, different header, different exhaust, different steering (hydraulic on DC5 and electric on EP3), LSD on DC5, different brake calipers and discs, different gear ratios, different damping on the rear, different engine map, stiffer chassis, stiffer springs and a few other minor parts. Oh, and a different version of the K20a engine. So, yeah, exactly the same With that said i'd still argue theres not much in it between the performance of the two cars

Years ago me and my pals did something similar, it resulted in this...... Nothing to be proud of, tho judging by the look on our faces we seem pretty happy with ourselves! I can look back and laugh about it, that was over 7 year ago now, I've grew up a lot since those days and I have a clean license now
-
A random guy took photos of mine when I was sat in city center traffic the other day. Went for a pizza a few weeks back and the guy behind the counter nodded over to the car and said "porsche", I laughed and said no "nissan". The car gets way more attention when it's clean.

If money wasn't an issue I'd have a TT manual supra over a Z any day of the week.
-
haha! To be fair there is a pretty big difference between asking about peoples opinions about a few cars and discussing options (like what I did) and asking should I buy A or B. I test drove the corsa VXR that I was talking about
-
I'm sorry but asking a group of strangers which car you should pick is ridiculous, how are we supposed to know which one you will prefer? Go drive them and make your own choice!

1 Year just gone. Nearly sold it three times already but I keep changing my mind last minute
-
For that sort of money I'd not be looking at a 350Z, I couldn't justify that when I could get a mint nick DE engined one for 6 grand and the performance would be almost as good. It does look clean tho, bit over priced maybe?
-
Quick update, I bottled it! Head over heart situation, the S2K was mint but the dealer was really rude and arrogant, I did a quick google of the garage and it has awfull reviews too.
-
I wasn't sure of it in the pictures but it looks great in the flesh. I love how the paintwork on it is perfect too, not a mark on it anywhere.
-
haha! I'm a bit of a honda fan boy to be honest, I loved my EP3, kept it for 4 years which is a lifetime for me. Hopefully I'll have an s2000 soon, if it's as good as it felt I may end up just keeping that and calling it a day until the price of the new civic comes down a little.
-
That puts my mind at rest a little, I'll see if i can get him to budge on the s2k's price, he seemed unreluctant to move yesterday mind. Is there any way of checking if the bushes are seized? I know this is a common-ish problem with the S2K's... I can check the history to see if they've been done in the past but if not I don't really know what I'm looking out for.
-
Yea man, I might have to write a list of things I want to check/ask because in the heat of the moment it all goes out the window! haha.
-
He just glanced at it. He headed straight to the interiour to check if it was a GT model and wasn't really interested after he realized it wasn't. I realize from a dealer's point of view the non GT in silver isn't the most attractive of models mind. I'm going to go back on friday when I'm off work and I'm bringing my honda nut friend to check the car over for me. I've realized that even tho I work in sales for a living when I'm on the other end of it and I'm the customer I'm really bad at haggling and making a deal, I just get stunned by the car and can't think properly. All I was thinking is BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT haha.
-
Ok the dealer will only give me £4,500 for my car trade in because it "doesn't have the leather so it's harder to sell", fair enough but I know I can get at least £5,500 for it in a private sale no problem. He barely even glanced at my car before valuing it, didn't ask about history or anything, seems they will take anything in as part ex without any inspection and flog it on and thats a little off putting? Shame because this S2000 looks fantastic and they rarely come up for sale in this nick and with this millage. Been stewing over this all day.
-
I agree 100% that financially your suggestion is the right thing to do, I still went and test drove the S2000 tho Stupid thing to do as I absolutely fell in love with it, it's immaculate, full history and not a stone chip in sight, completely different animal to the Z and to be honest it's everything I hoped the Z would be and isn't. Very tempted to buy it even tho I'm going to lose money this way.
