  1. You running stock exhaust or aftermarket? I don't scrape at all but will be getting the cobra non res soon.
  2. Depends on how big your pockets are I'd love to get mine re-sprayed at some point. I could tell you where every single ding and stone chip is on my car, they drive me mad. Thing is once you go down the road of obsessing over stone chips and marks etc the car might aswell be a show car and locked up in a garage somewhere. I keep telling myself this but I'll still end up getting it painted at some point.
  3. I'm running tein springs and 10J wheels (wider than stock) with no issues at all. Saying that everytime I look at it now I still wish it was a touch lower. I'd go 30mm if I was to do it again.
  4. Gotta watch out for those bloody deers! Glad you're ok tho mate.
  5. Insurance has been informed but it will show as a "non fault" accident if no claim goes ahead, just for the record this rarely makes any difference to the premium.
  6. I removed the rear wiper and it's never been an inconvenience. Does look better in my opinion. Another one to consider is removing the front plate surround, I can't see the pictures as I'm at work so not sure if you have done that yet. Again, looks much cleaner and is very simple to do.
  7. Same situation here, first year I spent most of my money replacing the clutch, flywheel. tyres, brakes etc. I've eventually managed to get modding this year with wheels, suspension etc and it's transformed the car! I've easily spent over half the cars value in the first two years of ownership on mods/servicing. Not a cheap hobby this Z thing.
  8. Upwards of 1000 miles each month. I'm constantly being told by parents/girlfriend and pretty much everybody else that I shouldn't be running a car like this to do the miles I do. Sometimes when i work out how much I've spent in the last 12 months I don't really disagree with them. Still driving it tho
  9. Just for the record the Z passed no problems, didn't even mention the tyres
  10. Yea turns out the culprit is a nail in the tyre haha
  11. Here you go Mikey.... Had to put air back in the rear tyres the day after I got it back from revolution, were down to 10PSI!! Was a bit worried that something wasn't quite right but they haven't went back down this time.
  12. Awesome. Thats good news, cheers lads. Fingers crossed.
  13. Gonna be living on beans on toast and supernoodles all month if i need new tyres haha...
  14. For some reason I thought my mot was due in june but its actually due now! Epic fail saying as ive just spent over a grand on wheels and suspension mods. Anyway the million dollar question is should my stretched tyres be ok or is it a fail now? I didnt consider this when fitting them (what an idiot). Im running 225 on a 9j and 245 on a 10j.
  15. Cheers everyone. Yea I actually really like the stretched tyres, I know it's a marmite thing tho. The car is sitting a fair bit lower today. I Deffo recommend the teins it looks just right now. I didn't think it would look as low as it does. I can still navigate speed bumps no problem too. Happy days.
  16. Cheers! No spacers and they sit nice and flush with the arches
  17. All done and it looks awesome, really chuffed with it. The springs still haven't settled yet so it's going to look even better in a few days. I'll get some pics up after I've finished washing it lol
  18. People probably think it's actually fast
  19. Cheers fella! Just hope it comes out ok, I've seen a few different threads with the tein springs and some seem to look lower than others, the offsets are good so fingers crossed it's gonna sit nicely.
  20. I really wanted an evo 8 GM but the mrs just isn't having it haha! Deffo keeping the Z this time, I promise
  21. Ok bit of a pointless thread but I'm exited/bored at work and trying to pass the time The Z goes into revolution in Newcastle tommorow to get rota grid drifts and tein springs fitted. Went for 18 9.5 et20 and 10 et15 with stock tyre sizes for the time being. I've had to wait nearly all month for this so neadless to say I'm exited. The weather is supposed to be nice here this weekend too so a good detail will be in order. After viewing some pictures of the tein springs I'm a little concered that I'm going to have a big arch gap due to the tyres being slightly stretched. What are people's opinions, it should look way better than stock right? Anyway pictures will follow tommorow and I might start a wee build thread as a few things are planned for the near future.
  22. I get this every single day. Normally has me shaking my head in disbelief as to why someone in a white astra van would try to instigate a race with a 350Z. I drive the A1 motorway from Newcastle to get home and it currently has a 30 limit with roadworks, someone will always try to race me as soon as the road opens back up to a 70 limit. Maybe they just get exited and want to see us boot it away from them, 90% of the time I won't give them the satisfaction. Nobodys perfect tho, I have gave in to the temptation once or twice
  23. As above, whole thing sounds well dodgy as 8 grand for an 04 plate on trade in is really high. If thats right he must be keen to shift that car for whatever reason.
