Ah that explains things..... Yea just checked the pictures on google, it was an M6 Proper BMW noob here, wolf in sheep's clothing that thing! Still find it funny that he felt the need to show off in front of a ten year old Z.
-
I had one of these right up behind me on the motorway tonight on the drive home from work, he sailed past me in third gear no problems. I wasn't pushing the Z but it looked properly quick. I know nothing about bmw's so assumed it was an M badged one of some sort until stumbling across this thread tonight. Quite surprised after looking at the cars stats online.

I seem to remember your thred We're down in the midlands PM me your number and I'll get it touch Yea it was a right carry on trying to get a good one, ended up all over the bloody country then one popped up on my doorstep and i snapped it up. I just need to confirm with the Mrs she really wants to let it go and if so I'll PM my number later on today. I'm pretty sure she doesn't want it anymore, seemed like a good idea at the time but the novelty has wore off now that she's got bored of putting petrol in it .

Where is your friend based? I've had three EP3's and know all too well how hard it is to find a good one these days. Managed to find a mint one for my girlfriend after months of looking around. We have been considering selling it recently funnily enough, it's an 05 version, mint bodywork (silver), 85k on clock, full history. Standard apart from eibach springs. I'm looking for offers around £4,000. I'm in newcastle incase he's interested, pics ready if need be.

Ah that makes sense!
-
never heard of that before personally, I haggled and paid by card on my Z purchase?
-
I got the spare on the front not too long ago, it was tight but it fitted. I'm running 18" wheels with 45 profile tyres.
-
Oh that reminds me of a good one I had recently actually.... Filling up at a petrol station and this Turkish bloke pulls up next to me in a brand new Nissan micra, he was so exited about the Z it was hilarious. "wow it's a 3.5 litre, must be really fast" "such a nice car I wish i could afford one" "you must be a successful young man" etc. His micra probably cost three times the amount of the Z, I found that pretty funny.

Yea, it happens! Getting a kebab from the takeaway and the dude behind the counter goes "oohh nice car", looks over to it parked outside nods and goes "Porsche yea?" The kid's in my street every time I come home from work "oh nissan GTR, look a GTR"

Welcome! Reminds me of how mine used to look before the modding bug took hold. Any plans for it?
-
thanks dude, I'll check it on my break at work. These work computers won't load images

I want to take a gamble and go with something a bit more lairy. The car is running with wide-ish wheels and 45 profile tyres so i think something a bit more aggressive would look good. Can't really make a decision until seeing some better pictures tho!

I do this every year! Goes along the lines of "need something with boost" Spend weeks looking into it then decide I can't afford/justify one. The mrs is already unhappy enough about the 350Z, not sure a skyline would be worth the abuse I'd get

http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/GB/350z_2003-2005_GT_STYLE_POLYURETHANE_FRONT_LIP/2-PU-53503GT_.aspx Been trawling google and the usual places but can't seem to find any pictures of this once fitted and painted. From what i've seen on tarmacs website I think it looks great but I'm keen to see if any members already run this and can comment on fitment and show some pictures etc? Christmas will be here in no time and I'm writing a wish list to hand to my partner

Re map or not, that thing isn't making 350bhp!

Sorry if this is a re post.... http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/350z/nissan-350-z-v6-2004/4591257 Please tell me this isn't a members car. This guys either a liar or a complete moron, one or the other.

Pedal dance will bring up any fault codes and you can reset the ecu with it too. To be fair tho unless you fancy sitting at the pedals for half an hour with a stopwatch trying to get the timing of the pedals right (been there done that), it's probably not a bad idea. Is the check engine light on your dash even highlighted?

Those wings only look good if the whole car is stanced, kitted and modified heavily otherwise they look out of place (in my opinion).

Mine has done this a handful of times in the 3 years I've owned it. Mine tends to cut out randomly and go into a slight limp mode then won't start for the first two or three tick overs then starts no problems. Seems to happen about once a year Had it looked at a few times and nobody can find anything wrong. I always just assumed it's a dodgy sensor somewhere or something.

He needs assassinated, publicly.

Unbelievable! (shocking service from my local garage).

All sorted and the car sits perfectly, very happy with the end result. They also fixed my faulty key fob free of charge this morning. All good apart from the fact the rear tyres now rub the arches so the arches need rolled, it's never ending -

Went in first thing this morning and was met by a Polish guy who spoke poor English. Turns out the guy I explained the job too handed it over to this dude and somewhere along the line the communication has obviously broke down. Told them I don't want a single mile put on the car and it needs sorting. To be fair to them they have apologised and it's getting sorted now. Not happy about being up this early when I'm working a late shift today but hey ho, that's life haha. -
Seems like you don't have many options if you want to keep the stock (ish) look. I've found these on ebay but it's really hard to picture what they would look like on the car, mine is a silver Z on bronze rota grids. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-Projector-Dual-Halo-LED-Black-Headlights-/381356497016?hash=item58ca9e5878 I think with a black lip under the bumper this might add a nice contrast to the front end, just worried about them looking cheap and nasty

Got the Z bug back and the car is getting booked in for a front bumper/side panel respray shortly. Looking at other ways to freshen up the front end and headlights seem like an obvious option. I know nothing about electronics and have no idea which products are good and which ones are garbage. Saw lots on fleabay for all sorts of prices! I've seen a few Z's on here with "halo" style headlights and think they look awesome, can anyone point me in the direction of some good units at a decent cost? I'd also be interested in hearing about ways to spruce up the standard lights, I've tried getting the mist off the stock ones with all sorts of products and nothing keeps it at bay for more than a few days. I assume I can add better bulbs and what not but again, I've not got a clue when it comes to this stuff.

It's going in tomorrow morning to get sorted (free of charge of course), I'll ask about the millage and make it clear they won't be doing that again. Lesson learnt tho, last time I'm trusting any old garage with my car.
