I'm picking it up later to to take it for a spin so I'll find out more. I'll have to get some pictures of it with the Z. It's the 2.7 and those are cayman wheels. I'll have to let her know because no doubt they don't realize and havent told the insurance company.

Ok now my jealousy is in overdrive, think I need to get closer to my stepdad haha

Can't lie, booze and substances were a pretty big part of my life until about 3 years ago, I went a bit wild in my mid twenties. To be fair for the most part I had a fantastic time and as cliche as it sounds it really gave me a different and interesting perspective on things and "opened my mind" etc. I've spent a decent bit of time traveling around playing gigs and was quite heavily involved with the music scene which was how I became involved in everything else. Since meeting my partner I've calmed right down and rarely even drink let alone do anything else anymore, for me "quitting" just happened naturally, I basically grew out of it, it was never a conscious choice. I've never been a big drinker tho, ironically it always got me in a way bigger state than anything else ever did.

Not sure I'll find out tomorrow, as I said my mam doesn't even know what engine's in it
-
haha! Not sure her partner would appreciate a modified 350Z on the drive, it's not his style. He did own a 370Z for a short while but he wasn't keen apparently Lovely bloke but considering how much money he has his taste in cars is disappointing, was quite surprised by the Porsche purchase today. Should get to test it tomorrow, I suspect it's the only time it will get driven properly for the foreseeable future.

Alright, I admit it, I'm a lot jealous! It doesn't help that she's not interested in car's and isn't even remotely exited about it
-
So my mams just been bought a brand new boxster as a gift from her other half. I'd be lying if I said I'm not a bit jealous. She literally doesn't have a clue about what she's driving, she's currently unaware if it's the 3.4 or the 2.7. Say's it feels heavy to drive and that she isn't keen on it Talk about not appreciating what you've got eh! Anyway I'm keen to get behind the wheel of it, I'm on the insurance so I'm going to pop over at some point this weekend and take some pictures then go out for a spin. Be interesting to see how it feels compared to the Z. Anyone got any experience with these cars?

Clean Z by the way!

My car had problems with the crankshaft sensor when my clutch was giving up too. I suspect it has something to do with that somehow. Had to get towed home after it threw a cel and wouldn't start. Problem went away after new clutch was fitted.

so i just took my driving test in my 350z and....
nowhereboy replied to cov350z's topic in 350Z General
Congratulations! I can't say I've ever heard of anyone passing the test in a Z. Surely you're insurance must be beyond ridiculous? I'm an insurance broker and don't know of any company's that would let you learn in a Z. -
What happened to that 18 year old lad? The one with his age in his signature

Zeitgeist is a documentary that goes into detail about how the wests governments are controlled by big faceless billionaires, how the economy is broken, how the wars are all for profit and how the media is corrupt. Basically it's one huge conspiracy video. Without a doubt their's a lot of truth to it but theirs also a lot of tinfoil hat stuff too. It's a good watch either way.

I think a lot of young people are guilty of drink/drug driving, the consequences don't seem to enter a young persons head and in the moment it can feel like a bit of an adventure or even a laugh and if you're miles away from home with no money to your name and stuck at a party full of idiots suddenly the appeal of your warm bed can make the risk seem worth it. I've got some straight up ridiculous story's from my youth and I often feel thankful I never hurt myself or anyone else, I can look back and laugh and thankfully nobody suffered for it but that isn't always the case. I'm all grown up now and wouldn't dare behave in the way that I used too. Scary thing is I certainly wasn't a one off, all of my circle of friends and their friends would all be just as reckless, the same lads are now family men with well paid jobs and kids, so it's not like it only affects the bad lads, chavs etc.

This guy is the man. I also really believe This and I for one will not be a sheep and get brainwashed by the higher and darker forces that control the media. Watch zeitgeist theory. It's on Netflix Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk While Zeitgeist is a great way to help open up the mind of the average Joe who's never gave much thought into media or politics to believe everything in that series is almost as crazy as believing every word the politicians tell you. There's been numerous things in that video proven to be inaccurate and to be honest it's pretty much a propaganda piece in itself. I get frustrated by people who after watching a video on the internet believe they are superior to all the "brainwashed sheep" out there etc. That zeitgeist movie has made peter Joseph a lot of money, just think about that for a second, as you've even stated in your post, it's on Netflix for gods sake It's worth mentioning that in the past I was guilty of the very thing I'm moaning about here, calling people sheep and spouting "watch zeitgeist" to anyone that would listen, thankfully I grew out of that but my do I feel silly about it now.

If you only do the clutch and the flywheel goes soon after you're going to have to pay for all that labor again to get the gearbox out. Saving money now may end up costing more in the long run. Have you had the Z long? The clutch gave out on mine about 4 weeks into ownership. I opted for the Exedy clutch and CC flywheel, the light flywheel is way nicer than the stock duel mass one, one of the best mods I've done.

Spotted in the east wing car park at one of the offices on Newcastle business park. Don't want to state exactly where I work hence not giving companys name. I'm parked right next to you now Not sure how I've never spotted this before, I guess I normally park in the other wing.

I feel your pain brother!

Good luck! Always hate to hear a story like this. It's clear the car was faulty before sale. I check my oil once every few weeks and it never uses any.

While on the subject, this series is well worth a watch if anyone has a spare few hours....

As heartbreaking as it is to see all those innocent people killed, take the west out of the equation and it's likely non of this would have ever happened so close to home. Surely we have to accept some responsibility for this? It seems we have completely failed to do what we set out to in the middle east and in the process killed thousands of innocent people, armed the rebels, gave training etc. We've helped create the perfect breeding ground for terror, something like this was inevitable. I'm not part of the "foil hat" brigade but I think it's much more complicated than bad guys vs good guys. Either way another tragic loss of life and more innocent people suffering for someone else mistakes.

It's amazing what 6 grand will buy you these days really. The Z gets way more attention than what the price tag would suggest. The novelty of head turning and attention has wore off for me now mind, it gets boring fast when you can't go from A to B without tailgaiters, boyracers and the likes wanting to instigate something. Just popped out for a pasty on my dinner at work and had someone in a 15 plate Audi TTRS right on my tail in a 40 zone, safe to say he'd have not battered an eyelid if I was driving your average family heap, anyway I digress haha. Carry on enjoying the car fella, nearly 3 years in for me and it still makes me smile everyday.

Thanks folks. It will get sorted, frustratingly I can't do anything until after Christmas because I've already spent a small fortune for presents etc for the family. It's gonna drive me bonkers looking at it and seeing that big chunk out the front of it every day for the next month As you say at least I'm not hurt, I easily could have been.
-
Thanks veilside, it might actually if I'm lucky. It's damaged towards the passenger side, well I say damaged, there's literally a chunk missing It doesn't go all the way to the edge so the lip may still attach securely. Maybe a bodyshop can work some magic with it....

I haven't reported it to be honest, I'd imagine loads of people have ran into it already so hopefully it's been moved now. In hindsight I probably should have but I was very busy with work etc.
