  1. I'm running the Exedy clutch and cc flywheel - clutch holding up fine and it gets enough abuse
  2. So sad to hear mate. Glad to see the car still being looked after.
  3. Ah man this thread is putting me off ever buying a GTR. Hows the build going now? I have a friend with a 500 + BHP R33 GTR but as above its never out of the garage, it seems every time he takes it out something goes wrong. He had it imported from a very well respected importer too.
  4. Jesus that thread from drift works is hilarious. Gotta love it when the owner of the company being slated uses a fake account to start giving great reviews about his own business, always makes for an entertaining read. Complete cowboys.
  5. Rub it in Ekona, it's miserable up here!
  6. I dunno man, I felt the same way about my 350. Two years later and about £3000 less in my bank account I now have a modified Z and still have the urge to get something else crop up from time to time
  7. I work in insurance and can honestly say about 40% of the people I speak to on a daily basis have failed to disclose something, the vast majority of the time it's purely innocent. I also know that with a lot of big private insurers declaring mods is an instant decline. For some people it's a simple case of calling the insurer and paying a small fee to add mods but if you're a younger driver who already has limited options if the few company's that are competitive for you decline mods all together you need to find a policy with someone who covers mods and they may well be way more expensive, this is why some people don't bother disclosing them, it vastly narrows down their options. I'm old enough to know better myself but young enough to understand why people do it.
  8. Learn to drift use their own cars... You will most likely be in a drift battered 200sx, or possibly a R33GTST
  9. I looked for a decent set of front fenders ages ago and came up with nothing. Surprising that there isn't more options really.
  10. It will be money well spent!
  11. + 1 for a learn to drift day. Not sure why but I picked it up really quickly, sounds daft really but after playing games like Forza for years it just came naturally. Felt like I'd already done it before
  12. Might be ready to go pop at any second but still.... Mental! http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/300zx/nissan-300zx-twin-turbo--547bhp/5598170?v=c
  13. My personal opinion..... that look's butt ugly! What's going on with the rear end? Different, I'll give you that!
  14. I've never heard of them. What ended up happening with your engine? Did it give up?
  15. Interesting! My spare is fairly useless anyway as I'm too low to fit it without it rubbing the arches heavily while turning. I work for the AA so got them to come rescue me last time anyway (perks of the job)
  16. Ah cheers GM, I'll have a read through. Can't view the pics right now as I'm at work. I might have a crack at it tomorrow actually, I'm guessing everything can go back in if I really don't like it.
  17. While on the subject does anyone know how much weight can be taken out of the rear of the car all together... IE spare wheels, carpets, trim etc? Stripping the weight out of my old type R made a noticeable difference to performance and I've been toying with the idea of doing it in the Z. I'm not too worried about road noise/comfort etc, I actually quite like the added theater driving a stripped out car gives. Edit - I also think the Z looks pretty cool all stripped out and painted with bucket seats etc.
  18. Pictures would help.... Not sure what you mean by "tuned" to be honest. If your original exhaust was blowing when you bought the car it would make sense that the new one doesn't sound the same
  19. I've got two. A full chest piece with a big candy skull and roses, it has written "think for yourself, question authority" across the top and bottom of it. The other one is my bands name "artisam" on my wrist. I'd love more, just never got round to it.
  20. Looks like one of those situations where panic/nerves set in and he's become completely unable to drive I've felt like that before, 8 years ago before I passed my driving test..... How embarrassing.
  21. I don't see depreciation being a problem anytime soon. Mine's worth more now than what it was when I bought it three year ago....
  22. Also sorry for the thread hijack, it just hit me as being close to what I'm going through right now. I hope you feel better soon mate.
