Alreet!
So it's been 3 1/2 months since obtaining the blue meanie and after reading through a good few projects I thought I'd have a go at my own build thread.
This is how she looked originally:
She came with a Cobra Sports exhaust that most of you will be aware of my hatred for it, so it was only natural that I was going to change it at some point. But there were one or two things that I needed to do first just to get me into the swing of things.
The wheels were my priority as they had been scuffed and were corroded to bits, I set about getting them booked in. In the meantime I did this.....
And this....
So then it came to the moment for the wheels. They were done at the Wheel Specialist and I chose a satin anthracite finish....
....which I am extremely happy with!
I then decided that the centre console was in dire need of refreshment so I stripped that out and gave it a new lease of life....
....which I like but I can see me doing another colour next time I'm home (the missus paints her nails so why shouldn't I paint my interior?)
So then an opportunity came up for me to do the much needed exhaust change. Adrian (octet) was stripping his supercharged monster down to fund his 370z purchase. For those of you that don't know Adrian, he was the owner of a batshizit crazy supercharged mint green (turquoise) 350z with one of the only Amuse R1 Titanium exhaust systems in the country. Seeing as these are rare as rocking horse cack I had to have it. So after a week or so, and then a few days more getting a couple of splits rewelded, the exhaust was in and I was ready to unlease the fury Mitch!
It also came with a Motordyne resonated XYZ pipe which adds to the quietness down low but adds a little extra something when kicking the arse off it.
I will upload some videos of how it sounds soon, just haven't had anyone around to film it (the missus point blank refuses to be involved in something "so sad"
So a month went by with no real progress and then I decided to change the air filter for a Cosworth one....
Then I ordered a 3/4 plate for the front and a new back plate (check out the decal at the bottom!)
So up until now that is where we are at with OV53. Not as far as I would like her to be but only getting 2 weeks at home I have only really had under 2 months to get this work done whilst also renovating the front end of my house.
So to finish off a couple of photos of the car prepped before Trax last weekend (about 15 minutes before the heavens opened)
Thanks for looking guys!
