That's was relatively painless. I just phoned my local Nissan Garage and they have ordered the part for me. With VAT it cost me £85.00, which isn't bad at all. I could have got one from a breakers as you suggested mattross1313, but to be honest I prefer new one.

Hi All, Not long had my 2015 370Z Nismo and was giving the interior a clean today. I hadn't spotted this before, but as you can see from the image, the cover on the boot lid has a nasty break in it and some other marks. The boot lid cover appears to be made up of two sections. The yellow arrow indicating the break between each bit. Does anyone now where I could get a replacement for the damaged section? Cheers.

Hi All, Having now bought myself a 370Z, I am clearing out my old 350Z parts and have a MAF Sensor for sale. As some of you might be able to tell from the attached picture, I bought it from another forum member. I didn't end up using it in the end, so thought that someone else on the forum might be able to make use of it. All I am asking for it is the cost of postage, so if your interested, let me know.

Thanks for the advice. Managed to get it off with minimal fuss. A bit of adhesive was left behind, but some warm water and gentle wiping soon got rid of it.

Hi All, Can the piece of tape on the attached image be removed? It's where the boot closes. You can see where dirt is collecting. It looks like it might just peel off, but wanted to query on the forum before attempting to remove.

I'm learning something new all the time with this thread. Lol. As a few of you have suggested, I think I will get someone to do a full and proper job on it, then just regularly wash it myself after that. I went to my local halfords today and have already stocked up on buckets, cloths, etc. I never realized that detailing was so involved. It has peaked my interest though.

In answer to your question Ekona. I don't mind washing my car, I'll do that regularly. I just haven't got the patience for all the other processes like clay barring, polishing, waxing. So my solution is to simply get a professional valeter to do a full valet on the car now and again. I've checked online and there are a few in my area that do a comprehensive valet that includes the extras I mentioned.

Thanks for all the tips and advice. What are your views on jet washing? I personally never jet washed my 350Z as I was always advised not too. Would everyone concur with that?

Thanks for the advice guys. That helps a lot. I'm a detailing novice, so I haven't really got much knowledge of all the products available and which ones are better than others. Just wanted some general advice so I can at least clean my new zed properly using the correct methods. I haven't got the patience for polishing and waxing. But I'm quite happy to get it professionally valeted from time to time.

Thanks Payco. I would like to attend some car meets so will have a look at the link you posted and if I can make it, I'll get some tickets.

Hi All, I have recently purchased a Nissan 370Z Nismo and am wanting some tips on just giving it a general wash. I'd particularly like advice on what sort of cloths to use, product recommendations for Shampooing, window cleaning and wheel cleaning. I'm going to get the car professionally valeted regularly, but want to be able to just give it a good clean myself in between. One query I do have is in relation to the exhaust tail pipes. The inside of them are looking a bit dirty. Is there a product available that can be used to clean these as well? Thanks.

Hi Payco. I know lowering a car is popular mod, but I'm always wary of speed humps. I once owned a Toyota Supra which was lowered and I cried every time I went over a speed hump as all you could hear was a god awful grinding as the front of the car scraped the concrete. The clearance with my new car is just right. There are some pretty big speed humps where I live and this new car goes over them without any problem and with it being the car it is, I really don't want to damage or scrape it. As for coming to Beaulieu for Simply Jap, when is that event taking place?

Hi All, Picked up my new 370Z Nismo today. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive home. Am so pleased with it. I will take some pics in the next few days and post them on the forum.

Thanks for the all the info guys. Picking the car up on Wednesday so will post some pics when I get it home.

Thanks for the pic Payco. I didn't spot that went I first went to look at the car. I've never had a car with those sort of seats and for some reason I thought they were non adjustable. Glad I was wrong.

I know where the controls are to adjust the seat base. Where is the control for reclining the back of the seat?
