Thanks for posting that extended video Lewis_UK. I do wonder if that bloke is still alive today. Lol

Well a large percentage of the mods on my zed are not ones that are really visible. There has been some work under the bonnet and a new exhaust system. But bodywork wise, it's pretty standard. I have had the centre console carbon dipped and had a new headunit fitted, but that's about it for the interior. But I do appreciate that some people would prefer the original steering wheel, so if I keep it, I can at least pass it on to a new owner and they can then decide if they want to put it back on.
-
Thanks AMT. Yeah that makes sense.
-
So do you think it would be okay to sell the original steering wheel or should I keep it?

Hi Guys, Just wanted to ask your opinion on something. Basically, I replaced the OEM steering wheel on my GT4 with a smaller Momo steering wheel. Thing is, I was thinking of selling the OEM steering wheel but I know that there can be an issue when it comes to the MOT as the new steering wheel has no airbag. Luckily the MOT station where I take my car, know me pretty well so it's not a problem. But thinking ahead, if I do sell my zed, would it be worth keeping the original steering wheel and giving it to the new owner, just in case they have a problem with their own MOT station and are required to refit it. What do you think?

Pretty sure this person just wrote my Zed off :(

Oh man, I bet your gutted. Important thing is that you are okay though. It could of been worse. Hope everything works out for you and that your back on the road real soon. -
Thanks Lexx. Apologies for posting in the wrong section.

Have a look at the following link. Particularly at around 4 minutes 50 seconds. Lol.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I don't use the cruise control, besides I've got an aftermarket momo steering wheel on my zed, so can't access that function anyway. Fuel wise I always either fill up with Supreme unleaded or momentum from my local tesco garage. I have occasionally put ordinary unleaded in my zed, but that's only when my location and need for fuel means that I've had to go with whatever I can find. I had the uprev done at Horsham Developments, so I think I will have to arrange to get up there at some point. Might need to be after christmas though as money is a bit tight at the moment.

I have a 350Z GT4 (2005), which I believe is a DE model. It has also had the Uprev mod. Since the last time I posted a thread on the hesitation issue, my local garage has put some sort of Engine Flush solution in with the fuel. I guess something like Redex to clean the injectors. I've not really noticed any difference though. I have read a number of threads on line that have suggested all sorts of possible reasons for it and like my garage says, I could end up spending a ton of money changing this part or that part to try and narrow down the fault. Some people have mentioned that it could be a faulty coil pack. Others have said the fuel pump might be getting lazy. Someone also said it could be a faulty spark plug, but I had the problem before the car was serviced not long ago and all the plugs were changed and it didn't make a difference. Oh and somebody did also suggest that maybe the throttle body was dirty or wasn't functioning correctly. A new MAF was also installed about 3 months ago, so I've discounted that. I do also have an ODB device and software and the last time I hooked it up, it didn't show any error codes. The advice from my garage has been to continue driving the car until either something very noticeable occurs or it packs up all together. Then they might be able to finally locate the problem. That's fine, but I prefer to come at it from a pro-active position rather than a re-active position, if you know what I mean. I'm not that knowledgeable about these things if I am honest and I don't have a bottomless pit of money to hand either. So I really don't know where to start.

Hi All, Just want to clear something up. When I'm driving my zed, should I feel hesitations when I lift my foot off of the accelerator? For example, I was driving down a hill this evening and eased off to maintain a steady speed and could feel the car hesitate a number of times. Is there some sort of fuel cut device that kicks in or is it a sign of some issue? Thanks.

Thanks for the link Ebized. Just tried that programming routine and it worked a treat. My key fob is now working again. Just curious though, what causes the key to suddenly lose its programming?

Hi Guys, Been having trouble with my key fob. Can no longer lock and unlock the car. There is a fresh battery in the key fob so I know it's not that. I'm assuming there is a fuse for the Central Locking and would like to check it. Trouble is, I don't know where the fuse is located. I know there is a fuse box in driver side footwell and also where the car battery is, but to save me having to check both, can someone point me in the right direction? It might not be the fuse, but if nothing else, it would cancel that out as the issue. Thanks.

Just voted for you mate. Best of luck.

I will be getting in contact with Nissan I think. Like you said marcw79, can't do much without it.
-
I can lock and unlock the car manually with the key, so can still at least secure my zed. Swapped out the battery in the key fob again earlier, but still no joy. I'm wondering if I might need a new key, but I know there not cheap.

Hi All, Back in July I had a problem with my key fob as it suddenly stopped working. This was quickly rectified with a simple replacement battery. However, over the next few months I noticed that the key fob would work for about a couple of weeks and then the same thing would happen. I'd open the key fob up, replace the battery and it would be fine again for a short time before I needed to put yet another battery in. I'm pretty sure that the batteries should last more than a couple of weeks, so am beginning to wonder if the little circuit board or the buttons on it might be failing. I've had the same problem tonight and have replaced the battery, but now the key fob isn't working at all. I'm assuming it's a problem with the key fob, but am wondering if it might be something to do with the locking system on the car. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your reg plates. Will certainly keep an eye out for them when I'm online and out and about.

Help please, removal of steering wheel hub.
SiriusProjects replied to welshbuddy's topic in 350Z General
I had the same problem when I bought a Momo steering wheel. I went for a Momo Hub too which supposedly fitted a Nissan 350Z, but when I tried to fit it, there was no cut out on the hub to accommodate the connectors. I ended up buying a HKS hub in the end, which fitted a treat. -
I've looked at the Cougar Store and Tarmac Sportz prices and for a clutch and flywheel it's around 600/700 pounds and that's what I would expect to pay. Just amazes me that kits are being sold on Ebay for less than half that price. Besides which, I've dealt with the Cougar Store and Tarmac Sportz in the past and would rather pay the higher price, knowing I'm getting the kit from a trusted source.
-
Hi All, Just want to get your opinion on the following. At the price that it's selling at, I can see why it would be tempting, but then because it is that cheap it does make me wonder if the kit is actually any good. What do you think about this kit and kits like this in general that are going for this sort of price? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5676dbd36d

I was driving around for a week without my centre console, when I sent it off to get Carbon Dipped.

Cheers JetSet. Appreciate it.

Hi all. Does anyone know where I can get hold of the fixings for the rear tonneau cover? Thanks.
-
Ah right. Thanks for the responses. I've never paid it much attention to be honest. Just recently I've been going through some pics of my zed and spotted it again and suddenly thought, what it is, why is it there?
