  1. You need to get a pic of the wording at the bottom of that car-park sign. In my opinion you have less than zero chance of making a claim. You also have a duty of care not to drive into extremely large and visible potholes. - Sorry
  2. You are better off giving the alternator a quick squirt of WD40, the squeaking is usually caused by the extra loads put on it in the winter with heavy use of lights, heater, wipers, leccy seats, ETC.
  3. Might have been Pete, he's out that way. I'm often over there on my way to the coast but mine's a 'vert and you'd recognise my plate
  4. The camera I got was just a cheap Hong Kong jobbie like this: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item259a32121e The pic is 'as is' if that's what you mean, just like your rear view mirror. Used an internet guide to fit it, went OK and works really well. The head unit I got from a place called Alexradio on Ebay, there's around £20 import tax to pay on it. I don't have the steering wheel controls on mine so can't comment on that aspect. The unit comes with a little remote control as well. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171420338465?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Edited to add the link to the unit from Alexradio.
  5. I have that unit, it's brilliant, get yourself one of those reversing cameras that pop into the rear number plate light to complete it.

I have 25/25, I should have gone for 25/30. Standard sized wheels. EDIT- On mine the wheels would still be perfectly legally within the wheelarch with 30's at the rear, they look OK, not too skinny from the rear. I think there's a pic in my gallery.
  7. Nissan 350Z 3.5 Z33 RWD 2002 To 2008, Excluding Cabrio, Lowers Front by -17mm, Lowers Rear by -14mm. Spring Rate Front 6.9 (kgf/mm), Spring Rate Rear 7.2 (kgf/mm). Sadly these are Coupe only
  8. The springs for the Coupe are different rates for the rear than the Roadster, do you have a part number on the box that I can check please - Ta - RB
  9. Humm there's room for a few more guages there Alex
  10. Anyone seen a Roadster with these on: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271468091929?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 http://vangadgets.co.uk/UK/roadster-styling-bar-cover-caps-chrome-cobra-nissan-350z-roadster-03-on-nis2723.html I saw a red one in my local town - they actually look fantastic, wonder if any of our lovely traders could work out a group buy for them? Edited for different link added.
  11. Will those Tein's fit a Roadster? Please
  12. The EBay ones are OK. There's 2 maybe 3 companies that sell them on there in 2 different formats (both are copies of proven more expensive other company's designs), if you look you can see they do a new 99p start listing every week, I got mine (Toyosports version) for around £60 delivered, I guess it depends on how many people are needing a new one that week I've seen them go for a lot less and for almost the 'Buy it now' prices. Don't expect they make any difference to the car on their own except saving a little weight over the standard Nissan item. They are 2 1/2" at the cat end which I think is standard and 3" at the mid-pipe end and they DO marry up OK to the standard mid-pipe, but it won't improve the gas flow on its own as it's still restricted by the rest of the system. Might sound a bit nicer though!!
  13. Roadsters don't need it we have a little glass window with a 'Z' etched into it that does that job
  14. I do, pix in my gallery, doesn't look as clean as those already posted tho!!
  15. Don't forget these: https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/stardast?source=feed_text&story_id=10152980144881979
  16. Mark@Abbey, thanks for taking the time to explain that - appreciated
  17. Mark @ Abbey, please could you clear something up for me? I keep reading on here the mantra that installing any mods is pointless - Without an UPREV map tune and that the standard ECU 'dials back' any benefits from any installed mods. I find that very strange as my knowledge is the the ECU will use it's mapping to OPTIMISE the conditions it operates under within it's preset parameters ( Your statement about the ECU learning hence the few runs needed appears to support this). Obviously these internal map tweaks will be narrower than optimum for many mods and within a range of tolerances encountered using OEM Nissan parts, and is a generic map given to all that certain model of Zed, hence I understand why an UPREV will totally optimise the engine mapping, actually either with or without any mods. Bit long winded sorry - so does the ECU optimise within its own mapping capabilities?
  18. Come on lad - we're all drooling to see these here
  19. I'm sure that engine with TT was up for £5k a while ago - if it is what they say then make a great start for someone - assuming it is all still serviceable the front IC is damaged to start with so would need a good going over. Exactly £3K, - £2K to swap it over, repair or replace parts where needed (they still sell the kit in Oz) and a retune/any extra fettling needed + £1.5K more back for the original engine, Fanny's your auntie
  20. What about putting in a cheeky bid for this item: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-APS-TWIN-TURBO-FOR-PARTS-ONLY-BREAKING-/221594953663?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item339816a7bf - It's been sitting there slowly deteriorating away for a while now wont be worth anything soon as it's obviously not moved for a while. Yeah yeah big build worth a ££££ - but no, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it and they must realise that by now and it's not appreciating rotting away there!!
  21. There's a Gunmetal one like mine around that area, they live near Row of Trees, they've had it a few years now I've seen it many times.
  22. Isn't the roadster boot lid plastic? Could be part of the root of the problem. I will check mine with a magnet tomorrow. Jeeze I must have been lucky when I changed my badges as I attacked them with no mercy - no real problem, they took a while to do tho' and there was a tiny scratch but that's under the actual badge.
  23. Engine gets hot, heat soaks into sensor, sensor gets hot, sensor tells engine ECU ambient air temp is hot, ECU retards ignition the compensate, ACTUAL REAL intake air temp is NOT as hot as ECU has compensated for, therefore engine does not run at optimum. - Well that's how I read what Mark meant, I'm sure he will be along to correct me if it's wrong
  24. What Mark means isn't what is usually known as the effect of heat sink, which only affects turbo engines. He means the heat sinks into the SENSOR which then tells the ECU the intake air temp is higher so the ECU then retards the ignition timing to compensate which then does not fully utilise any intake mod and the engine does not run at optimum because the information is wrong as the airflow is so great through the intake it doesn't have time to get hot. It's not the heat per se as these engines get pretty hot at the best of times especially the plenum where all that air from the intake go's into, when the engine is running at load the airflow is so great that heat doesn't have time to get hot, but the SENSOR is still telling the ECU it is.
  25. They always go at this spot, mine's a lot worse than that but unless you live somewhere they have horizontal rain then they don't actually leak - just look a bit s**t. There's a couple of threads regarding re-covering the hood and it's actually a lot cheaper than you would think, it's costly to replace with a new Nissan unit, not to re-cover! Alex is right (as always) especially if you're like me and the roof spends most of the time away and when it's up the weather's usually to grim to be bothered what the hood looks like!!
