  9. Less of a car and more of a (vaguely) guided missile on wheels - or should that be guided muscle - Wonder how it will fair against the latest GTR - Hopefully we will get to see a head to head at one of the VMax's this year
  10. Red 'vert, on bottom St CX 05 NFY - I was the drunk waiting while you passed outside 'La Bella' before staggering on to the next pub LoLZ
  11. I didn't bother reading through the Scooby complaints, the only real negatives I found on these guys is overpricing, which to me is not exactly anything to complain about. You either accept that you pay a premium for the benefits of buying through a dealer or you buy privately and take that risk! ( Yeah I know they have a bad customer relations reputation but at the end of the day you WILL have the law on your side!). I don't see anyone here giving Tradelink any grief for making a few bucks over non-trade cars! Anyway aren't Scoobies notoriously difficult to know when it's a 'good un'?? Bit like Celica GT4's - the reason I didn't continue my love affair with Toyota!!! I thought Typr R's were in general a fairly bullet proof bundle? As you say you know your way around them I'm pretty sure you will soon know if there's any problems with it.
  12. Looking at the 2 Autotrader pages for 'Car sales' and 'Performance' it appears they are the same company but split into two, a 'run of the mill' car sales company and a branch that deals with (alleged) 'performance' vehicles (sportier models). They have over 100 vehicles for sale over the two companies so they are obviously not a 'small' trader and as such if I were you I'd be inclined to be more positive about your pending purchase, likelihood is all will be fine. Their most expensive car for sale is £14K, with a few at £11K, with loads of really cheap cars, which shows the market they are aiming at. They appear to have a decent turnover of stock so someone is buying their cars - Hope everything is OK with your new car - please keep us updated here, it's always good to have feedback on local dealers.
  13. I'm from Cheshire and TBH I've never heard of them!! BUT..... having just done a little reading, I see their car sales are pretty much based around cheap old cars. I suspect generally 'one' is always going to get a few niggles if 'one' buys cheap. That said their customer relations appears to be a bit sh1t. It's also worth remembering that they probably sell a large number of cars, most of which have no problems, or generally problems that are to be expected of cars at this part of their lives and the new owners sensibly expect that long term wear and tear items do need attending to. It's also important to know that most people who have a good buying experience do not give any feedback, but EVERYONE who has a problem will give as much negative feedback as they possibly can. I am not associated with these guys - like I said I never heard of them! Just giving another perspective.
  14. Welcome, where in Cheshire are you, I'm Knutty Knutsford way
  15. Are there no ID marks on the inside? They usually have on the inside of one of the spokes. (I expect you do already know that - I'm also interested to know WTF they are now ).

  19. Why don't you call one of the myriad of 'no win no fee' firms and ask them?
  20. Have a look at this thread too: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82338-new-hood/
  21. It'a a common problem, mine are like basset hound's ears now but don't appear to leak, I'll get the material replaced when it's totally f**ked but unless there's some weird upwards rain phenomenon it doesn't really bother me - looks a bit tatty but the roof spends most of its time down unless the weather's s**te. There's a couple of decent places here in UK that can recover and with proper material not the rubbish Nissan stuff. I think I saw an ad on EBay recently for one of then around £450 for the job. I'll see if I can fish out the link for you.
