  1. Err the physics/astronomy thing, it only goes red when the lunar eclipse happens. That's when the earth comes between the moon and sun, means the reflected sunlight (which is what makes it crispy white ATM) is replaced by bent light particles which travel slower and are more scattered.
  2. I have my alarm set for 3.35am, the peak viewing time here is supposed to be around 3.40am. I have my camera ready It's supposed to be the last Blood Moon for 18 years so shame not to have a gander Edit: Last SUPERmoon
  3. Some do burn oil, at varying rates, there's no real rule of thumb! Mine burns more trawling around than on an errr spirited blast (ragging it!). The water thingy, mine seems to just kind of lose it if i fill the expansion tank up to where it's supposed to be - only done it twice, my own fault for not putting the cap back on and losing a bit! and the week after when I rechecked. Been perfectly ok since though.
  4. The OEM roof isn't actually fabric, it's some weird Japanese vinyl so although these kits work I went a different route. Mine was full of mould, that horrible green stuff so I gave it a couple of warm washes with Hibiscrub, the stuff they 'scrub-up' with before they operate, I repeat this every spring and that has totally cured the mould problem. For reproofing I have used Scotchguard-like products in the past but recently found http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0035FAYKS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 this stuff which works a treat, although there's a product called 303 which also works well. I have also found that for my regular cleaning this stuff http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001RE3FLO/ref=pd_sim_200_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=1JQ4PYHN6ZTH0WXV0XZW&dpID=51q79x4B1aL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR132%2C160_ which also does what it says on the tin/plastic bottle! As for blackening, the Scotchguard gives it a kind of lighter shine which I think looks OK on my Gunmetal car, while the 303 Aerospace stuff makes it black and shiny.
  5. Kobeda not Kofte, that's the boy
  6. Rusholme chippy - double kofte with salad and chilli sauce That's 2 skewers of grilled lamb chunks in a freshly made Naan etc
  7. Yea - sorry didn't read the full thread
  8. Another silly question - you HAVE unclipped the catch inside haven't you?
  9. Self explanatory, though this was immediately after fitting. It's true they mellow as they get used, it's now a lot deeper and 'rounder' sound.
  10. Bloody hell that's cheap http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-CAT-BACK-STAINLESS-STEEL-EXHAUST-SYSTEM/171899268122?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3Dcddad12b1bee43fdaeed1da1c8da985d%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D111746932540 Even cheaper

    RIP 911

Many said similar things when they went water cooled, didn't seem to make much difference in the end
  12. http://www.pro-bolt.com/ I use these guys. Quite expensive though. Every time I do some work on my Zed that involves bolt removal I change the original for a Titanium one (except the brake mounts - they are pretty decent heavy duty quality anyway ).
  13. Another one from me for city of god, amazing flick http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/city_of_god/
  14. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1079716-seven_years_in_tibet/ I was pleasantly surprised with how good this was. Sat down not expecting much then several hours passed without me noticing, a very encapsulating movie. But, my all-time recommendation would be Slumdog Millionaire, if you haven't seen it, give it a go. One of the best movies ever.
  15. That black one looks pretty good to me. Proper service history, reasonably low mileage, hood looks in very good nick, clean bodywork, the best seat/body colour combo (IMHO) and the trader appears to be a decent company (good if anything go's wrong, which is unlikely but useful). I'd have a Google on the trader and see if there's any bad press Other than that, it's really up to you on the price, is it comparable to other traders/similar models? What are you happy to pay?
  16. As UK cars come with Brembos I think they are. Good grief that's cheap.
  17. lol, I expect it just needs a bit of fettling or brute force then. One of mine was a little tricky initially then when it started to go it was like 'what was all the fuss about?' Sounds like you might be lucky in a way and have one of those rare Zeds whose handbrake actually works!!
  18. I don't intend to insult your intelligence but is your handbrake OFF? If it is then maybe you can 'un' adjust the tension until the new discs are on then readjust as normal.
  19. Same as KUGT4 I let mine get this low in the first few weeks. Mainly because the previous owner told me it didn't use oil. Well I obviously drive a lot harder than he ever did because it used loads. Still, I topped it up and no problems since then, a few thousand miles ago. Although now it uses a lot less, the guys at RS Tuning (the German one not the Leeds cowboys - allegedly) diagnosis was that it had had an easy life and my hard driving style had finally bedded the rings in properly. I still listen for any unusual noises though, had a right odd rattle the other day, turned out I'd left a jubilee clip on the plenum when I put my new K+N filter on - lol

  21. LoL ... Jimmy, I meant that when you get a plenum spacer it comes with all the necessary fittings, including some fat/thick washers for the strut brace. - you need to get one ... they work, Wasso's the guy on here
