  1. Value of car seems to make no difference, its purely down to stats. When I got my zed, I was paying £1000 to insure it and at the time it was worth about £16k. And yet I was quoted only £400 by the same company to insure a brand spanking new Lambo Gallardo which was worth significantly more. Same postcode, same details, even telling them id park it on the street outside my house etc. I guess statistically more zeds have been claimed for than Gallardo`s and so they are a higher risk. That's probably about right, if you're over 25, even more so if you're over 30/40 or 50.
  2. Err, what kind of value and model of Zed are we talking about? If we are saying £2.5K for a brand new 370 Nismo @ £35K I'd say that's probably a good quote at 24YO! If however it's for a completely standard UK '05 350Z @£6000 then not quite so good
  3. Whereabouts in the country are you, if you are local to me I'd come over and give it a listen for you? I'm fairly sure most of the other nice peeps on the forum would do the same (or meet you somewhere mutually close).
  4. I got an EMail earlier asking if I wanted to confirm a purchase on my I-Tunes account LoL Sent from my Sony Vaio or Samsung Note!!
  5. <img src="" /> Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk I'm too dumb to post pix
  6. OMG I think I actually have that key!!! Message me your EMail I'll send you a pic. I still have the key and 3 locking nuts that I removed!!
  7. I think they cunningly called it: Locking wheel nut removal tool
  8. So there's 2 options. 1/ Local Nissan Dealer, borrow their box of keys. Try until you find the correct one then buy a new one from them @ C£20. 2/ Go to any decent local tyre place who will have a locking nut removal tool. (Takes only as long as to remove a normal nut!!). Go to Nissan Dealer and buy a new nut @ C£5. You might want to get all of the locking nuts removed and replace them for 'normal' wheel nuts - unless you live in/frequently leave your car in dodgy areas. The locking wheel nuts Nissan use are actually known for breaking (McGuard Germany I think they are) so you might want to look at option 2/ I don't think wheel/tyre theft is as prevalent these days.
  9. My patch unit looks more like this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ISO-to-ISO-Amplifier-Interface-Adaptor-Wiring-Harness-Lead-For-Nissan-Bose-/351139456568?hash=item51c18ae638:m:mVk8_N4AkpMOZf9T182WE-w
  10. Mine didn't have the steering wheel controls but I had loads more wires than that to connect, are you sure you have done all of them?
  11. I reckon we ought to do a 'tidy-up' of this list, I can't believe there's that many around here still. I wonder how many have sold up and moved on?
  12. Another Cheshire I'm just down the road in Knutty There's another new silver/gunmetal round here but she's not a waver, looked everywhere else except at the noisey Zed Roadster when I passed her the other day lol
  13. Really? Don't be half assed with brakes. They're quite important. Buy a pair of new discs. You can get OK ones off EBay for under £150 a pair. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300845922315?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 Such as these. They are a synch to replace. Also put some new pads in while you're at it.
  14. Just a quick heads-up but Aldi are doing rattle cans of black VHT stove paint ATM pretty cheaply. I have renovated a few log burning stoves recently and it's as good as any other VHT paint!
  15. The description gives a list of benefits http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ULTRA-RACING-4-Point-Rear-Lower-Bar-Brace-for-Nissan-FAIRLADY-Z33-350z-RL4-1259-/251972542690?hash=item3aaabbe0e2

    2006 DE W Brace

Just dubious as to the fitment around the Invidia! If your exhaust fits around the OEM W-brace there's no reason it wont work with this one, there was plenty of room when I changed my exhaust, I never even thought about it!

Here's the cheapest I can see, they're all the same bit of kit, if they don't have it in stock I think they only take a few days, they come in from Europe. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-Fairlady-350Z-3-5-2003-Rear-Lower-Bar-Rear-Member-Brace-/371418001776?hash=item567a3cf170

Mine (you can see it in my gallery) came from E-Bay. No problems, good fit, better, cheaper, lighter and stiffer than OEM. The screws were difficult to get out (pre-lube!!!) but fitting was a synch, on axle stands, on my own, on my driveway.
  19. Don't forget to check the 'secret' cubby
  20. The key is usually somewhere in the car. Rattling around the spare wheel area, in the tool kit or one of the cubbies. It's unique(ish) to that car so not much use to anyone else. At the worst take the car down to your local friendly tyre place where they will have a tool for removing locking nuts. You will need to get hold of an alternative set of lockers or just normal nuts to replace them.
  21. http://www.smoothline.com/nissan_350z.php This company. They are useless at communication, I asked them about getting one over here to Manchester area and they seemed less than interested. From reading on a few US forums I'm glad I didn't persue them as they have a bit of a reputation for shoddy finish and fitment problems. I have personally been searching for the past couple of years for a OEM soft top full frame with a view of moulding a hardtop around it, no luck getting one so far, they always seem to be beyond my skills level to repair for that kind of use I'd be personally extending the rear a little, possibly with a similar shape to the new Jag/BMW 6 but in metal
  22. OY!!! That's like minutes from me Tho' I couldn't have made another early morning after VMax on Saturday
