  1. Just a quick reply to say the soft 99 stuff is really good for a polish (imo) Japanese polish for Japanese cars. (Makes sense if you think about it)
  2. That's a cool video, I like that a lot. Awesome video 😎ðŸ‘
  3. Just done mine not so long ago, mine was original cats and y pipe. The heads was welded onto the flange and the studs are serrated into the flange (just to make it even harder). The nuts was badly corroded so the only choice was to grind them off, and slightly cut into the flange to break the welds, heat them up a lot!! And finally knock them out. Not a job for on your back on the drive way. Being honest it's and b.... of a job and time consuming so don't think you can do it In a hour. Really not nice and best of luck ðŸ™ðŸ™
  4. I'm in helston mate, has this problem just started after any work done to it?
  5. Hi mate, in Cornwall myself. Has the garage or anybody pressure check the system ? Are the fans running continuously? Are you loosing coolant??
  6. The shield I was referring to is just in front of the fuel tank (looking from rear of vehicle) and is bolted to the kidneys . Like you said, it done now thank god and one a won't have too do again as a hamerited all the parts before fitting and sprayed wax oil aswel just to make sure (oh and greased all nuts/bolts). The garage said the kidneys was so bad they could be folded in half by hand!!
  7. So my story in short ish, thought I would replace the w brace, bolts snapped etc taking that off, the got if off and found the "liver" shaped parts it attaches too was so corroded (like nothing left) they had to be replaced which is attached to a sheild (just in front of the fuel tank) was corroded and need to replaced (not essential but need to do a proper job) . I looked at this all on a proper ramp and could see this needed somebody who had done this before as you had to get various things out the way. £600 pound later at the Nissan dealer (with looked after on price!) -without the w brace!! (But all new bolts/nuts) it was finished until I started it and found the flexi pipe was blowing because that was corroded which then was blowing so then it's a new y pipe and cutting off the bolts to get that off. Finally done. What a nightmare, never again 😪😪
  8. If you think of changing this, drop me a pm and I'll tell you about mine I've just done. This simple job could be very expensive:/
  9. I live very close to there, would be nice to meet up
  10. Ok, cool. I think I'll post on here how it go s for future uses in my position.
  11. It sounds more fun by the minute, I have the advantage of using it on a proper workshop lift so I hope that makes it easier too. Great heads up on the cat studs-I'll bear that in mind when I'm doing it. Out of interest which or where did you get your y pipe from??
  12. Thanks Yorkie, I'm lucky enough to work at a dealership so the guys can help if I get really stuuck. I Had to replace part of my exhaust on my daily a while ago and those bolts was corroded so I had to get the blow torch to to do that job so I know what you mean- can be a dam nightmare. Anyway I guess we'll see Saturday how it turns out. Thanks for all your advice fella, real nice of you. ðŸ‘
  13. Hi Yorker, thanks for your help and advice. Been chatting to zmanalex today who has helped me go in the write direction. I got the bolts I should need locally and going to carry out the replacement Saturday and fingers crossed it goes well. The current bolts/nuts on the cat look pretty bad. :/
  14. Hi all, just replacing the y pipe on on 2003 350z and struggling to get the studs/ bolts&nuts to replace at the same time. I've tried nissan but they want quite a lot for them so I'm looking for an alternative or maybe I won't need to replace them when I do the job (advice would be gratefully appropriated) Cheers all
  15. Oops scrap that, do you have all the attachments for the knob as I'd like to fit to my skyline?
  16. Thanks for your help guys, really appreciate it and it's nice to know it's not just mine. I'm very friendly with the local Nissan dealer so I'm hoping for a deal but if not zedmanalex I'll be in touch. What you think is the simplest of jobs never turn out like that- god dam it
  17. So the day has come to finally replace my w brace, it's been a long time comming but finally started it, fairly straight forward but had an horrible surprise when I finally got it off. The arms that the brace bolts too was not just rusty but crumbling away at my finger tips. So my question is; Has anybody have this problem? Has anybody attempted to fit a new part? There a plate that is part of it the runs just behind the fuel tank, it looks a big job to me- drive shaft/ exhaust drop to get it out the way. I'm Now crying as my baby is very poorly 😢😢😢😢
  18. Add me please but aswel bringing the 350z I'll be bringing my r32 Gtr aswel. Cheers
  19. Really interested in this but the price is abit high (imo) but if you ever think of letting it go for less, drop me a pm and maybe we can do a deal. 🤔
  20. Very odd, me too with a new w brace, how strange 🤔🤔🤔
  21. I'll have 2nd dibs if poss please, I'm not in Ireland 😎
