  1. Nope. I think you're led to believe that, but I have fitted quite a few of the android units now in various cars and have always hidden the receiver and it works fine. Also get yourself a reversing camera and an extension microphone to fit to the A pillar. Best to install all this whilst you have it apart
  2. No issues with the depth of the unit at all. I also installed the GPS receiver up behind it too, rather than having it out on display.
  3. Yes they do. They come complete with brackets, balls etc. The whole of the old struts including bracket has to be removed
  4. ^ yeah, that could work. Try nicking those wheels off the juke temporarily to see what it looks like
  5. This has got to be up there at the top still
  6. Tbh, I would colour code the whole spoiler, but that's my personal taste though. Good to see you've been keeping busy
  7. May as well mate, as the price looks good.

  10. Meh, all throttle bodies get dirty, every one, and all throttle bodies will have to be celaned at some time. The Z uses a common crank breather system where any blow-by gases are fed back into the intake to burn them off. In the old days they were shunted out to the fresh air, but of course that eventually stops the air being fresh for everyone. Slowly but surely oily crud will build up, especially if you happen to use higher revs regularly on an engine that is no longer in the first flush of youth (or you have a HR engine which IMO are practically diesels with the amount of oil they get through . BIg up the DE's ) Basically, clean it or at least whip the pipe off and visually check it Just wanted to say, I haven't got a clue where you got your idea about HR engines?? They burn NO oil whatsoever. I think the revup engines do, but being an HR owner, I can say mine doesn't burn a drop, and neither does a lot of other HR owners on here.
  11. Have a look through my build thread linked in signature below. You will need a fascia surround adapter and ISO harness adapter and a few more bits. It's no easy task, but I'm so glad I did it now. Sounds miles better and I've got satnav too now
  12. Did the indicators quickly flash 3 times while you were holding in both buttons?
  13. What you've done is changed it from pressing unlock button to open both doors or just drivers door (or vice versa). Hahaha OK cheers for that
  14. I have just been out to the car and tried the 'Hold both buttons on key fob for 2 secs' procedure that is documented on the American sites. I had to hold mine for about 5 secs though. Whilst it does seem to switch some setting in the alarm ( indicator flashes confirm this), it seems that the horn is not connected to the alarm. If you wanted to take this further, then I'm sure after looking at the electrical schematics, you could attach a sound output to it.
  15. Get your Dad to fit it to his car, then I could see what it would look like on mine
  16. Thanks Gareth. I'll have a read of that in the morning
  17. Well, I've decided to join you all on this. Today arrived my Tornado V3 starter kit from Totally Wicked. I've got some reading up to do before I get started as usual me, jumping in feet first, bought an extra bottle of fluid and then found that it has 0% nicotine in it. I just went for the flavour. I'm a 30 a day smoker and want to start off with virtually the same nicotine hit, but to slowly ween myself away from that eventually. The fluid in the kit is Black Magic 3.0% 30mg/ml. Should I stick with that for a while?
  18. Is there a viewing area to park up in?
  19. Yep They're off to Cyprus soon so get there this month if you can. There's a twitter feed that posts times and numbers but it all depends on the weather That's great thanks. Might have to take a drive one day next week while I'm off work Oh, and you didn't end your sentence with a full stop Not good for a GLO
