  2. Yes, no change in reception if you go for the Honda RDX one that is sold on here.
  3. Good choice, love my new Cobra!

    Blown Exhaust

Thought you opted for the Scorpion, Justin, the Cobra does sound better... Was initially after the Scorpion, but listening to the sound clips I agree the Cobra sounded better. Was trying to rush into getting it replaced as soon as the exhaust blew, glad I looked into it a bit more now though. Pic for anyone interested, these are the TP34 tips:

    Test

    Wow, looks lovely. Also, test....
  6. Similar story, did all my EASA A licence modules after studying aeronautical engineering, but ended up taking another career path. Worked on big birds at Gatwick for a short while but unfortunately there were zero jobs about. Actually prefer what I do now and I've kinda lost interest in aviation now!
  7. I'd avoid them all and save up a little more and go for a better example, it could get very expensive very quickly repairing one that has other potential damage from being in a crash. If I had to choose I'd go for the last one.
  8. Are these the things that wire into the ECU? It sounds as though it may not be installed correctly. As said above, go for an UpRev remap and the limiter will be removed for when you drive on your private road, as well as giving you improved throttle response and a little more power.

    Blown Exhaust

Had my Cobra y-pipe back system fitted yesterday by Abbey Motorsport as I had the usual split on the original exhaust. Went for the resonated system and it sounds brilliant, there is no motorway drone at 70. I believe Abbey took a video of my car with the exhaust fitted to put on their Facebook page so people looking to by a Cobra exhaust can hear what it's like. You won't regret it.
  10. Looking good, won't be long until you start modding it! Agree about the hot hatches, get that all the time. Even had a teenager in a little Saxo try the other day.
  11. Just a quick note to say thanks for fitting my Cobra y-pipe back exhaust today and thanks for the excellent service Scott picked up my car this morning from my house as he lives locally and took it in to have the work done, returning it later, which saved me a lot of agro of bringing it up to Oxted etc. Also thanks Mark for the quick and informative replies to PMs and professionalism throughout. Exhaust sounds lovely, really impressed with it. I can't see this tank of fuel lasting long, that's for sure! I will see you again in the not so distant future for y-pipe and UpRev Cheers!
  12. I saw a Z the same as this yesterday on the a24 near Horsham, was that you Ebized?
  13. £19.99 from Halfrauds.
  14. Here's the pics from using a Meguiars restore kit. It's basically PlastX with a rotary buffer that fits into a standard drill. Also comes with some sheets of fine grit sand paper for headlights that are is worse condition, I didn't need to use these so can't comment on how good they are. They were pretty cloudy, especially at the top: Buffer on drill: Before and after: Bit difficult to see in pics. Really pleased with the results
  15. Did mine the other day with the Meguiars kit, incredible difference! Actually took some photos of the process with before and afters, I'll post them up tomorrow
  16. I have a squeak coming from the front/rear (can't tell) of my Z when I go over a bump that is only there when the car is cold, had the wheels off over the weekend and couldn't feel any play. Has anyone had a similar problem? Sorry for the thread hijack! Just thought I'd ask in here as we're on the subject of noises rather than start a new thread.
  17. Most likely a scam, lots and lots of these about at the moment. If 'he' emailed you, Google his email address and that will usually pull up loads of results. I had about 10 emails from people supposedly wanting to buy my previous car when it was for sale so I just ignored them in the end and removed contact via email on my adverts. If someone is seriously interested then they will phone.
  18. Removed haze from my headlights using the Meguiars headlight restore kit, the difference is incredible! Also fitted LED side lights whilst I had the front wheels off to give them a thorough clean. Ordered some interior, boot and number plate LEDs to go with the side lights. Cobra exhaust being fitted next weekish by Abbey Motorsport
  19. Have a look underneath at the exhaust. The flange where the mid-pipe connects to the back box is almost guaranteed to rust and break if it hasn't already. Edit - I need to read replies, person above has already said this!
  20. Tonight about 2030 going the opposite direction through the 40mph average speed section, anyone on here??
  21. I painted the brake rotor hubs on my old car with Hammerite and it couldn't stand up to the high temperatures, it ended up blistering and peeling off and looked a mess after a few months. I'd go with some VHT paint if I was you. Halfords do a range of colours, going to do mine at some point.
