  1. Miltek is quite tame compared to other options, but is the most OEM like. Best value for money is the Cobra or Scorpion, much better sound than OEM and louder. If you want to spend more then look at the Invidia Gemini which is a true dual exhaust. Tarmac Sportz, who is a trader on here, has sound clips of the exhausts they sell on their website
  2. Really impressed with the performance of the R8, very fast motor!
  3. Looks good, I'd love to have a go in one of these, meant to be great on the track.
  4. Wow that's stunning, really very good price too I'm surprised your arm hasn't been snapped off for it!! GLWTS, beautiful car.
  5. Perfect. Thanks for that I can hear my wallet crying in the other room.
  6. Looking good Do you have a full side view pic of your car with the refurbed wheels? Want to get mine done at some point and can't decide whether to go with the shadow chrome sort of colour or OEM as I'm not sure how it will look on a GM Z.
  7. Me too, one of the reasons I got one. It works really well, it makes the belt sit over your pelvis rather than your stomach so shoves your bum into the seat and stops you sliding down over time. I was only going to put it on for track days but I think I'll actually leave it on all the time now

    Services

Denso Iridium spark plugs are the ones to use. Definitely still service yearly regardless of milage. Always use genuine Nissan oil filters and a good oil, a lot of people go for the Motul 8100 (5W30 is the correct grade). If the gear changes are notchy when warmed up then it's worth doing the gearbox fluid, I did mine anyway at 54k and it made the gearbox lovely and smooth even though I had no notchyness. It's extremely easy to do and if you do do it then it's worth changing the rear diff oil as it's the same simple process whilst you're under the car and always good for peace of mind. Always use genuine Nissan oil for these. Clark Motorsport will sort you out the best products/price
  9. Yep, but unfortunately they cancelled it going to wait until the spring now due to the weather being too unpredictable this time of year.
  10. Try Clark Motorsport on this forum, they should have them
  11. Felbridge Hotel East Grinstead.
  12. Today I added a shiny Nismo gear knob: Surprised at the improvement with gear shifts actually, feels a lot nicer than OEM and should be a must do mod along with the stubby aerial for every Z owner. And a 380RS accelerator pedal for easier heel/toe shifting. Before: After: Thanks to Redline Styling on here for these Gave her a quick clean and managed to squeeze in a quick layer of Dodo Juice Supernatural wax before it rained, love the deep shine this gives: Lastly, received one of these CG Locks that I've seen people rave about on here for track days or just day to day use to improve posture when driving. Installed it but haven't driven with it yet but seems a good idea:
  13. Jacking points are as follows: Easiest was is to use a trolley jack under the 'garage jack points' which will lift the entire front end/rear end, instead of having to do one corner at a time with the useless jack in the boot. You will need a low entry jack however, or alternatively drive up onto a couple of wood blocks so you can get your jack under the car. I recommend that you put axle stands under the 'safety stand points' if you remove both front/rear wheels or are going under the car. Wheel nuts need to be torqued to 108Nm/80ft-lb. Not that clear but this is a pic of when my car was jacked a few weeks ago on the rear diff to give you an idea:
  14. Looking good. Need to stop and have a nosey and a chat next time I pass you You've got the rear bumper + diffuser setup I want
  15. As above, have a look at what is broken and replace what is necessary. I can't imagine the cats have failed. If the flexis have broken then a new Y-pipe will be sufficient and if the mid pipe to back box connection is broken then a weld repair or a y-pipe back system will do.
  16. Looks good, think I'm going to switch to this from RainX as it's starting to leave some sort of smear marks which seem to be impossible to remove. Think the only option to remove it is with some IPA.
  17. Just carry on driving as normal, will just take the van if it snows.
  18. Don't, I've already spent so much money, this is really addictive!!
  19. Really easy to do There's actually a good guide that comes with it in the box.
  20. Ah yes that was it, thought it was a Veilside when I saw the really wide arches. Cheers I think a couple of bumpers and a rear diffuser from RT are going on to my future mods list now..
  21. Haha I didn't. Beautiful car though, wish I'd stuck around for a better look though. Is there any pics of the other chaps car?
  22. Luckily I was in the work van with cloth seats, Z was at home otherwise I may have forced him to swap cars with me.
  23. The one with RT Branding? He's supercharged isn't he? Oh god I wish I'd hung around longer now and blagged a ride in it!!
