I can't live with the diesel barge anymore it needs to go. Going really fast in a straight line and having to change gear every 2 seconds has got boring Irfan ,,,,, LOL Dan - The cheapest STI (Hatch) up here is £13K so I am really going to end up paying the same but with a bigger fuel bill and insurance. I don't think I could drive the saloon STI, I would look too much like a ned(Chav) I just don't think I could get a shed, your 11 year old barge is still a nice car that can shift. I had a look at them actually but the miles are pretty high for the money I am looking to spend

Don't think you get a 3.0 turbo z4? even the Z4m is a 3.2 na. The one I am looking at has a the 3.0si engine which replaced the original 3.0i engine. Done a quick search online and couldn't really find any common faults with them. Only thing people said was that the rear springs are prone to snapping. Cheap fix compared with a Zed banana arm

I can't drive a shed the idea sound good but I couldn't do it. Deposit is sorted, but as you just said, £360 for a car that doesn't exactly excite me. It needs to go.
-
I didn't say I want cheap running costs..... I said it costs £360 a month without running costs. If I buy an M5 that costs me £250 a month without running costs and leave it on the drive there is a saving. I run a zed as daily for 2 years, £80 of super per week, that is not my issue. My issue I want to cut down the monthly finance and insurance. The BMW is £200 per year cheaper. Simples

It is a diesel but the Z4 is coming in at around £120 a month cheaper before fill up. Plus we have a second car now so I have cut a bit of miles off. The plan will eventually be that the misses uses my car during the week and I will drive the "cough" mini to work. So the car will be used even less come next year. Notice I didn't mention anything about mpg let the man maths begin

It's that time of the year again when I get itchy feet. Got rid of my 350z at the end of September last year and 8 months later I want shot of my German whip. The main reason for getting rid of it is I am looking to get a mortgage with the misses and want to cut down my monthly outgoings. The A5 is currently costing me £360 a month without running costs. I have been looking at cars around the 7 - 11K mark but nothing has really stuck out. I wen't and had a look at the Subaru WRX S hatchback but I just don't think I could tell anyone I owned an impreza I have noticed a lot of garages have offered me completey different prices for my car as PX, I am going to have to carry over some negative equity but some of the garages prices have been obscene. I am going to test drive a Z4 3.0si sport coupe tomorrow after work, they look good value for money, cheapish to run and not the worst car to look at. Any thoughts on the Z4 or any other suggestions? Mileage must be less than 70K nothing too high maintenance like m5 etc (would love to) If I hadn't spent so much on my zed the 350z would have been a contender, but doubt I could go buy a standard zed for more than I sold my old zed.

Back in my recruitment days I have seen people who decided not to claim JSA struggling with references when it came to getting a job. As if you're on JSA you can prove how long you have been out of work, but if you don't then it looks like you have sat on your ass for 3 months. Obviously that is no doubt not the case but seems odd that you can be worse off by not signing on!

M5? M3? Evo X? different type of cars but I would consider them for that money.

Check my build thread mate. Dont do the front as it really does cut your beam down. The rears look good

I thought it was a little harsh to have so many votes and only get one seat however, you obviously can't compare with the SNP in Scotland as the population in London alone is more that the whole of Scotland. To get 3 million votes and one seat does show a flaw in the system.
-
A full conservative manifesto that's what. Explain to me how all of sudden safe labour seats became conservative? Explain to me how the whole country including David Cameron were shocked when they got a majority? I noticed Dan on here saying the exit polls were a load of rubbish when they were released as it looked farfetched. They actually got more seats than what the exit poll stated. So even Dan who is Conservative couldnt believe it. I am not suggesting the whole of England were brain washed but i will say a large number of folk cost labour a lot of seats. Its not an opinion or a theory, its fact. If you watched the news you would have seen people out in the streets of England saying they would rather see David Cameron in than have the SNP calling the shots. I personally dont see anything wrong with it, it was a masterclass from Cameron and Ed Miliband and his puppets couldnt have dealt with accusation any worse than they did. EM and HH were on record saying they will not do a deal with the SNP and the **** Jim was up the road dodging the question every time it was asked. The referendum in Scotland cost Labour their seats and the way Ed Miliband dealt with David Cameron cost them their south of the border.

but a lot of people voted tactically to keep SNP out. And you know this? Its supposition at best because it suits your argument to the Tories being in power. If you knew (and others) tactical voting would take place why didnt Scotland just vote Labour and you would have had a much more suitable government in power. Well it was almpst a certainty to be a hung parliament... but wait ... the English have suddenly swung out of the blue to the blue. People always believe what they're told in the papers as much as you want to do it. Thats nothing to do with England, just what happens. Who said Labour would have been a more suitable government? I wanted a torri largest party but not a majority. Tactical voting 100% happened as it happened in Scotland. I spoke to a lot of conservative voters who voted labour to try and keep the SNP out.
-
Couldn't agree any less than i do. If you think the torri papers scare tatics didnt scare people into voting torri to stop the snp taking English money then you are dreaming. I know you voted conservative anyways, but a lot of people voted tactically to keep SNP out. They didnt think to do that by themselves. Strong labour seats falling to the torris, not because everyone thought they have done an unbelievable job. The facts are, Scotland has no say in who runs the country and they never will. There vote in the EU referendum will also mean jack sh!t. If that comes to pass then a yes vote for Scotland will be inevitable whether we look to be better off or not

I am sure £3.3 billion would come in handy, my point being, you cant stop people voting due to the qualifications they have when the people in power hardly fill you with confidence.

He later got 3 more o'levels including Maths and took a correspondence course in banking going on to be an executive for Standard Chartered Bank... So he LATER got a basic exam in Maths and did a correspondence course before getting a job as a runner at Standard Chartered Bank and working his way up through the ranks to become an Executive. You see this as the qualifications needed to run a country? Perhaps this explains why he presided over Black Wednesday when the UK LOST over 300 million pounds in one afternoon ! I think he could have done with a longer correspondence course don't you ? Just checked it was £3.3 billion they lost.
-
I don't agree, Take John Major who left school with 3 O levels and none of them were maths. He was trusted with the budget and by your opinion he shouldn't have a vote never mind run the country.
-
I think he was forced to say that as Cameron was using it as a weapon to drum up English patriotism. The thing is, Ed and Harriet have been point blank saying from the start "no" we wan't to win a majority. However, Jim Murphy was asked in Scotland multiple times in various interviews and alway choose to dodge the question, which I found odd when the party leader is doing the more import interviews and being blunt about it. I think when the opportunity comes he might just go back on this. As a Scottish voter after the independence referendum, Labour have shot themselves in the foot with 90% of the country. So not many people will vote them, Conservative is obviously not an option in Scotland which leaves really one decent option for us. I think it will be a Lab/SNP if Labour don't drop too many seats in England + Wales.

Got the car there and I am alive. Just kept the revs high and avoided using the brakes if I could. Just to add to the joys the car was a bit lumpy on start up so he said they will have a look. I am going to take it to the guy who does the work on my car either way and get him to give it the once over as i dont want any surprises.

Its only my car with breakdown and its not personal cover, she walks to work as its literally 1 min walk. I have semt him a stinking mail so hopefully that will get him moving, failing that I will take the guys advice and check the levels to see if they're ok. Its not a massive journey, at night its probably 15/20mins and mostly empty dual carriageway. Just a pain in the ass.
