Got mine done at JP Alloys in Cannock a few weeks back. Some pics in the topic here. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/91696-wheel-refurb-pics/#entry1381550

Yeah that's the plan. A decent alarm and some lights for the side/back of the house. Parents are insisting we get those driveway bollard things too, they've even paid for them.
-
Got off lightly really, can't image how it must feel to return home to a ransacked house, or worse be attacked and threatened. £180 for a locksmith on his way. Don't need to rely on the old chair under the handle, which is likely more secure than the original lock.
-
Thanks guys. They'll never catch anyone, finger print dusting guys (the technical term) are meant to be coming today, but who'd break into a house without wearing gloves. Done some research online and you can literally snap the locks in 30 seconds, gonna have to spend at least £120 on some better cylinders. We got off lightly really, cars are still safe, and the outcome could have potentially been worse if my brother had actually caught them, the knife draw was open. Can't touch anything in the kitchen either, and I'm starving.

Just thought I'd share whilst I wait for the police to return. There I was lying in bed trying to get to sleep when I hear my brother shout, "Ne, I think the house has been broken into!" I run downstairs and sure enough the back door lock is on the floor and all the draws\cupboards are open. "Where are your car keys?" My heart drops and I rush upstairs knowing that I've left them on the kitchen worktop in the past before. Thankfully they were on my bedside table. Current theory is that someone was after car keys, used fireworks to disguise the break in noise and got disturbed by my brother when he went to investigate some odd banging noises. Home security obviously needs upgrading asap, can't believe how easy it was for some little scrote to enter my home and nearly steal my\my brothers car. Police coming back in a bit, they went off to have a look around and arrested someone for an unrelated offense.(bad timing for him) Don't think I'll be getting my sleep tonight.

Not yet, but my brother's getting a 370z next year since he likes my 350z so much.

Daily? Wow im glad I didn't get them polished. There's a valeting bay at work so I've got no excuse to not keep them clean, but that's a bit much for me.
-
I did think about polishing, but don't you have to keep the rim really well protected so it doesn't fade? I can't be bothered with that, so figured this was the better option. Polishing might show up the imperfections in the wheel more too?

Argh, tapped twice. Can a mod delete the duplicate topic? Or can I somehow?

Got my wheels back today, just wanted to share some pics and see what you lot think. Couldn't get them diamond cut, not straight enough. Before After On the car

If I wasn't saving for a private plate in an auction next month I'd be all over this. -
Within 10 minutes of listing my old car on ebay, I had an email from some Russian guy who wanted to buy the car for his daughter and was going to send his "mover" to collect it. I just ignored it and got a similar email the very next day from the same guy. Got a legit sale in the end though thankfully.

Didn't even know there was a topic like this, took this a while back though. -
When I'd not long had my car, some kids on bikes started chatting to me as I pulled up at the gym, they mentioned having skull valve caps in the past. I was certain I'd return to missing valve caps, but surprisingly they were all still there. Having checked recently though, I seem to have 2 nice silver ones, a black plastic one, and 1 missing. So maybe 1 of them came back? Just ordered some of those Anti Theft ones, so hopefully they'll last.

The Aux input on my old stereo packed up, so I bought following unit, thinking it'd be a cheap way to play music off my phone. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/head-units/mechless-players/kenwood-kmm-bt34 The problem is that when my phone is paired, sound doesn't come out of all the speakers. It definitely doesn't come out the right door speaker, maybe others but I can't tell. When you plug in the Aux cable it works fine though. Anyone have any ideas about this? Or am I stuck using a cable?

Will the whole bumper need spraying? If you get this done could you please let me know the costs? Thanks I got a few quotes recently, just to give you some idea. First place wanted £450 just for the bumper respray, second wanted £350 to spray and fit a Nismo Lip, smooth the Nissan badge, holes behind the plate, reflectors and headlight washers and full bumper respray.
-
I was after a place and a few people suggested the same guy. I've got a quote but not had the work done yet, so can't personally vouch for it. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/88387-bodyshop-near-walsall/

That looks nice. Have I just got a shoddy ARK knockoff? There's no branding, and it's dead loud. Was on the car when I bought it.

Saw this is person at CS, couldn't believe the price to replace some of the parts. Glad no one was hurt.
-
Yep, it's Neil. Wasn't that hard really was it? The plate kind of says it, but it's about the best I cloud find. Neil's too long to go on the end of a plate, not long enough to be shortened, and contains an I. At least no one immediately said it was awful, so that's a plus.
-
Been looking for a while for something to hide the age of my car, but I've been struggling due my name and lack of middle initial. What do you reckon to this plate? I originally found it as a joke, but it's sort of grown on me. See if you can guess my name, if not its definitely a bad plate ☺

Thanks. Will leave it for now, front bumper needs a respray and I don't have the budget for the whole thing right now. At least I know I can get it delivered to work if I get one in the future.
