  1. Ready and waiting. Can't wait for these nuts......and bolts
  2. Hi paddy, did you have me down for the spacer option as well?
  3. Can you put me down for an option 3 :DE in red please with spacer please. Plus an extra few washers for when I drop some down a hole.....
  4. Payment sent for a set.... I feel this may be a descent into a carbon fibre addiction Cheers
  5. Welcome, if you see a red zed around give me a wave!
  6. Hibiscrub or more importantly its active ingredient chlorhexadine is a very good anti-microbial, but it is also very good at dissolving lots of things. I use it to clean bike grease, permananent ink, spraypaint etc and it will strip away lots of chemicals. Just make sure to reproof the roof like the OP or you might end up with a little spot that just lets water in!
  7. Here is a repost of the pics from my welcome thread. I was tempted by deleting the rear wiper but given the amount of seagull excrement I have had land on my rear window in 1 week of ownership I can see a practical benefit of it at the moment. As for Rays, I really like them but I could get these refurbed in the colour that I want for the same price or less.
  8. So during the first rainy day since getting my Z I noticed my rear wiper was made out of a spatula. I ordered a replacement Bocsh aerotwin from wiperblades.co.uk. (I got the cheapest delivery and they still arrived in 2 days). Here is a little comparison between the standard wiper blade and the bosch aerotwin one. After buying this one I noticed Tesco do there own version for half the price which looks almost identical for half the price. (I may have to do a sideby side comparison of those when I replace the front ones.) Installation was a total of 15 seconds plus 1 minute to get into the packaging. I think it looks pretty good as a replacement. Now, typically, there has not been a single drop of rain since buying them so I have not had chance to see them work, but at least it looks nice. On a side note whilst cleaning my engine bay, I note my "completely standard" Zed has what looks to be a grounding kit an a K&N panel filter fitted by one of the previous owners, plus looking through the service history it has the clutch done already which I wasn't expecting (only the fitting receipt not the type of clutch kit so unsure if flywheel changed at same time). I may have to hunt for other changes now....
  9. Thanks for the welcome messages. I just love looking at my car and thinking....'They let me drive this?!?' As for the small niggles; if it was perfect then that would give me nothing to do on my days off.
  10. Thanks SuperStu. Just bought a replacement blade. I will post a comparison of my old one and new one just so you can see how useless the old blade is when it arrives. As for the suggestion of spacer and gloss wheels, Saiper, might that be what you have done to your Zed? Dark wheels is indeed what thought about. I really like the dark anthracite colour I saw on another zed. Perhaps door handles in the same colour with dark chrome z burger badges.
  11. Is there some sort of process one could go though to prove myself not a paid up member of tradelink? Or is an initiation Ceremony required to post reviews about them on the forum? I'm happy to provide proof of purchase/ id to anyone who really wishes to delve that deep. As for negatives about the car; I found one more on the rainy drive into work. The rear wiper seems to be made of rubber confetti. Anyone know of a decent supplier of reasonably priced rear wipers in portsmouth that isn't halfords?
  12. One thing I have noticed about the red colour is that it doesn't half make you nervous parking your car in slightly dodgy areas as it does indeed draw the eye. As for my eye avatar, I pretty much picked it out of folder of random images. This next one should be less conspiracy stirring.
  13. Well I can only comment on my experience. They did knock a bit off the asking price because I said I had visited this forum but that was in no way conditional to my initial post. They did not Suggest that Comment about my experiance at all. However, It's a bit difficult to prove they did not pay me though, so I can see your point. I did try to think of any negatives when I was posting to offer a balanced opinion but everything had gone smoothly so I couldn't. I had been looking for reviews about them prior to visiting and I read most of the threads on here that I could find with tradelink in them. I my self was put off initially by these. And also by ther lack of reviews on other independent review sites. But I had a spare day and thought I would go and visit, even if was only to get a test drive to compare others to, fully prepared to walk away. However I happened to find one I liked and after negotiating I put a deposit down.
