  3. I also do not think you will have any problems with the questions you have asked.

However, I would add, I think the car better handles in a slightly higher gear than I would otherwise have initially thought.

Re - Additional Driving Courses - No harm in doing these anyway, all add to your ability, confidence and enjoyment of driving.

Personally I would have everyone do 'The Advanced Drivers Course' - IAM - In the main - you will be taught to look much much much further ahead and according to conditions. - which actually allow you to drive much faster but in a safer and more controlled manner. So many brilliant tips in this course. You can tell on the road pretty much who has and has not done this course.

Skid Pan - Well why wouldn't you - Loads of Fun - whether you will ever remember any of it - the day you need it on the road though - is another thing.

More than anything you will gain the knowledge - you really have to push a car hard to loose it - again tyre dependent.

Winter tyres are a big consideration for the colder months, especially good in the wet and essential in the snow - or for the latter - just get a lift or a taxi !!!

Perhaps for now - go find yourself an empty car park when wet and from standstill gently accelerate off. Continue to do this until you get some wheel spin or not. Will give you a good indication of how much wellie you can give the car before it wants to let go.

Most of all drive it lots, best thing for giving you the confidence. Enjoy !!

  4. I agree, Cadwell is a bit tight in places and especially in your everyday road car which you might not want to damage.

If you don't want to take the Z, there are several companies who you can Hire a range of cars from for Track Use, usually with Instruction too

  5. The other day I saw a bed for your car. It was an inflatable mattress that fitted into the rear footwell and over the rear seats.

Not so good for the 350, but I thought it was brilliant - I was always saying I will just sleep in the car - now just trying to remember all those folk who thought me mad years ago for wanting to spend so much an fancy cars rather than more practical stuff like houses and a roof over my head !!

Re the garage and insurance.I do not think all Insurers charge more for a car being garaged.

I am with Brentacre and they certainly didn't - although I am going to check come renewal time to be sure this has not altered.

  6. Brillomaster - Washer Dryers are not that cheap. Plus better spending £400 for a German Make - Bosch, Siemens- still would not purchase the Warranty though

Two Bears - If you have the room, next time consider buying these separately, life expectancy is much longer.

I also would cancel your Warranty Insurance after you have resolved this repair.

Incase you were not informed when you purchased the item, anything over 3 years life expectancy is considered good on a washer/dryer. Many however will last 5 years - make dependant.

  7. There are plenty such people to do these repairs.

A Call Out fee plus the VAT will be more than £50.00,plus whatever spares are required and possibly a return visit - all chargeable.

So in this situation, I would use your Insurance.

For future reference, I would always put the money aside for white goods rather than take a Warranty Cover.

  8. Just have to do this instead.....

I have just arrived back from Cuba and after 2.5 weeks of the blackest smoke and most awful exhaust fumes from just about everything on the road, even I would not find this funny right now. You just do not realise how clean the air is here. !!

  9. I managed to pack up smoking 3 years ago. I went cold turkey knowing that was the only way for me.

Going to Cuba soon and so want to have a cigar or two when there. Just a tad concerned I might pick up that nicotine fix again !!

Probably going to have to give it a miss, such a shame I can't be one of those awful people who manage to have one cigarette a month or so - If only !!! ;)
