I thought Jules had gone past the waved yellows and just got into a Green flag area. ? Either way things are not looking good for him, such a shame with potential new talent like his. Re Button - Why would McLaren be silly ? He did better than Magnusen overall . I think he still has at least one more season before retiring from F1 and personally I do not believe he would lose any dignity if he stayed. If all the races were wet next year he would probably end up Championship Leader !!!

Don't push it !!! Let me see what time I have in the New Year after other holiday/time off is sorted, then I just might have a look at sorting something out.

I have organised quite a few Tours/Rallies before for a load of Petrolheads/Forum members (sorry not this one - before I had my 350). Some trips have been 4 cars others 12 plus. There is nothing like a tour of the same vehicle, (ish) in car radio's for added banter etc Having some set rules in the organisation takes out the pain. Sometimes I have booked all the accommodation, ferries etc Significantly cheaper than this (Pure Rally) too

When its raining heavily - especially on the motorways - you can actually tell which cars have Winter tyres fitted - they dispel considerably more water. The additional grip really be felt. Plus the back of the car gets considerably dirtier.

I am just hoping the snow and severe bad weather is over by early Feb, so I won't need to use my 350 in the worst of the weather. My VW Corrado - a front wheel drive couldn't get me out of the village mind in bad weather, so this now has winter tyres on it. I got stuck so many times, it was really embarrassing. There is a steep hill up to my house and another to get out of the village. The difference is huge in bad weather with winter tyres. But this is in for a respray in Feb. I am however going to need some Winter wheels and tyres for next year on the 350, some decisions to be made before then though. Do I keep to standard Wheel sizes for my Summer Wheels and then the same size for Winter albeit another pair of wheels or do I take the opportunity to buy new 19's Summer Wheels. Will have to take a look around at some of your cars over the next year and see whats what to assist the decision.

OMG - That is awful - I would be mortified - Really feel for you. Hope its not too expensive to get fixed

Oh, I know that and more than capable of doing just that. Been on lots of cars trips (And organised many over the years) just like joining a group of like minded folk and enjoying the experience/s together. Besides a driving trip totally on your own, for me I find a little sad and does not really work in providing the feedback I was after. Fortunately the Wales Trip is happening so I will join that in 2015 - my first. Guess it free's me up with time and financially to join some others I know with a trip to The Ring for some laps and a Track Day at Spa in the Corrado. I have also wanted to go to either Le Mans Classic or The Monaco Classic which is normally just before the Grand Prix. Guess I might have to get organising............... -

Please No !!! On hold for 2015 ? Really ?? !!!! Was really looking forward to this.......planned in my holiday forecast and everything !!! -
What about the Mongol Rally ? - I have always fancied that one - well along with loads of others !!! It's very basic, limited to 1000cc vehicles and you take your own route, which is either south through Turkey or north through Russia basically. Mind you roads will be considerably better than when I first looked at this some years ago. It can be done in 3 weeks. Trans Siberian Railway back - Oh yeah !!! There are also some Ice Driving routes rallies which also look brilliant- One day !! Must remember to keep buying lottery ticket !!!

So many to choose from and you need to decide what will give you the best experience. I have driven Track Days. done Experience Days and Rally School etc etc If you really fancy just getting your hands on and driving a Ferrari, a Lambo and Aston etc etc. I would have to vote Everyman Racing at Prestwold in Leicestershire. Just get the maximum amount of laps in whatever or all of them - to give you a decent experience and some good feedback to open them up more and enjoy. I have to be very fair to the Instructors on the 3 times I have been - not once been limited in my speed. Everyman also did have some Single Seaters. There is always the Aerial Atom of course ? Bill Gwynne Rally School - if you really want a full on Rally experience - I would thoroughly recommend this and advise not to even consider a cheap option for a Rally Day. Bill Gwynne has 2 sons that are Rally Drivers - its in their blood. !! I have had a good option of cars to choose at both Silverstone and Thruxton, prefering Thruxton though - more friendly in every way. Silverstone certainly did have single seaters. Again dependant on price, if it is unlikley you will get to do this too often - consider which circuit you might like to drive, then maybe the vehicles available. I did some Nascar mad day at Rockingham in the Summer. Think that might be the noise of them you can hear. That is quite hairy. Relying totally on a complete stranger to be your spotter, tell you, what is coming up behind, what is ahead etc ....due to the angle and being an oval - I am still laughing about that one, but it was mental !! And fun I think !!! Proper seat of your pants stuff. Whatever you choose I am sure you will enjoy it. I swop all my Tesco Clubcard points for some kind of Motorsport/Driving related items !! Doesn't take too long if you use their Credit card too.

I hate selling a car I have really enjoyed. Mine do seem to become part of the family. Fortunately not had to do it too often, as usually there is something else that has inspired me to move on and needed to sell to do so. Its getting harder since I am more able to afford cars that were out of reach previoulsy though. Sure your 370 is a good step though. Just takes a little time to get used to the transition of change. Wine or beer could be a good solution if not out in the car this evening !!!

Rosberg in Pole, Rosberg in Pole, Rosberg in Pole - Oh Yeah !!!!! Can't wait for tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!

I would prefer the Polo TShirt and Club logo. Forum handle and actual name would be great !!! Not quite sure how you would do this though individually on the TShirts though, unless by badges If Traders advertised on them - surely we could charge them and get then get TShirts for free ??? !!

That would work and keep the HGV firms happy too. If there are a line of Truckers to contend with, motorists might think twice before some of the awful antics that regularly happen entering or exiting motorways. Although I could see there would be some mega angry Truck drivers with this too a I am sure it would not stop everyone from cutting them up.

Remember too - Black Friday is next Friday. For those that don't know this is a cheap shopping day which crowds queue up from silly hours in the morning - in the States. In much larger towns and stores and bigger Internet Sites (Amazon is one) - it is now very popular here in the UK too. Good way to purchase Christmas shopping much cheaper.
-
If all HGV's were stopped from driving during Rush Hour times, surely this would help the flow of traffic hugely ? I know 2 HGV drivers, who both think this and believe it would make sense. Of course logistically for the HGV firms it might prove a nightmare. But surely something could be worked.

Anythink, Nothink, everythink - drives me mad. When did the G get replaced for a K ? So, I believe generally replaced Anyway - mainly used in not knowing how to start the next topic of converstion piece - I reckon ? ! I have quite a few friends from the North - it's quite amusing the differing ways in which we speak and words we use. The banter between us can certainly become quite heated and very amusing at times !! There are also the times, when I have no idea what they are trying to say, using words just made up so Southerners do not have a clue what is going on !!!! -
What would you do, question for the self employed

I only offered my view, based on the question being asked and my experience.
