Bodyshops vary hugely with prices and quality of work. I have had one car resprayed about 15 years ago and just having another done in June. Best Advise I can give, is go with recommendations only and be sure to like everything about the place you are choosing. Some cars like the 350z and my Corrado are very prone to bonnet stone chips - you just have to accept it - or slow down !!!

Cool, look forward to hearing what he's thinking of doing and hoping its not in May !! If any help is needed, just shout, I will do my best to assist.

I can't start to imagine how parents cope when they have a child so ill. Good Luck to Layla, you and your family. I am happy to set up a Picnic Meet and donations collection point (or similar) - fantastic venue in mind Warwickshire/Oxfordshire Border. Would not be able to do till June though. Let me know if you would like me to do this and I will get started.

Really feeling for you. I just do not have any understanding of why people would do something like this. I am not sure I even think it is jealousy, just something mindless to do. Where did respect and self pride go ? !!!
-
Absolutely ! From where I started at £432 , half price. !! And............ I know BJV and their work and cannot fault it. Shame it is over an hour away - but hey !!
-
Bobby D - BJV Engineering have just quoted me £216 inc Vat for a set of 18" Rays painted in Black This is a supply wheels only with tyres on price, so this price includes removing them/refitting them. From my last job, I would have no hesitation in using them again. Wendy

Of course I will. Here is the link so you have their location www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk/

Thanks for the suggestion. Finally I found the Company I used in 2012 for another set of wheels on my Corrado. BJV Engineering in Kings Langley - really reasonably priced in 2012 and excellent quality of work. So, hopefully when I call them tomorrow, prices won't be in the silly region.

Glad to hear you are ok other than a tad sore and damaged pride I would imagine. Bit of a mess on the car mind - which will I reckon require quite a lot of therapy !!!! Sounds like you have some good friends to get the car back together. The roads round here are littered with wildlife of one sort or another. Deer, badgers, foxes, let alone the pheasants, rabbits and squirrels - everywhere. Fortunately for me I have not hit one for a few years now - touch wood, dammed scary when you do mind and so much the damage. I even had a bird crack a headlight once. I am thinking and hoping it was death on impact !!!

Hi, I am looking to get a set of Rays refurbished. Anyone know and can recommend anyone. I preferably would like someone relatively local. I am just north of Banbury in Oxfordshire. I rang Pristine in Milton Keynes, I thought their £108 per wheel was a tad high, especially when you note on here people are selling Rays at £300 regularly. Cheers

I have the same if I use the Forum at one of the places of work, but at home on Mozilla its fine. However, loading of pages sometimes is dreadfully slow and it does appear to be here only ?

I bags the Rowing boat. They look fantastic planted up, would look great, artistically displayed on my front lawn. The hole saves me building in drainage. Are you offering free delivery ?

Recommend me a campsite around lake Windermere
Wendy replied to Wasso's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Mid April to book and want all that !!!!!!!! I think you may be free camping on one of the beaches. Can't remember the name of it - but one of the best Motor Museums in that area (I took a ferry across the lake from Windermere to it and then a 15-20 minute walk approx)- has all Bluebird Water speed Records too. Really worth a visit - if the Mrs does not mind !! It does have masses of it set in the 40's/50's age ish. -
That's what I thought Brillo. !! OK, F1 can be a tad tedious at times, but No........, today was not one of them, there was some really good racing IMO. Although, I guess just like anything we all enjoy F1 but can still view it differently.

No comments chaps - no wonder it took me an age to locate this thread. ? ! I don't want to spoil it - for those who have not seen the race, so no results but briefly.......... I thought the racing this afternoon in China - apart from the last two laps under safety car was some of the best we have had for a while. Some good tussels and brilliant driving. Felt for Button that was the lightest of taps, his fault, but still.. Can't imagine how Button and Alonso in the McLaren or Riccardo in the Red Bull are feeling. It's the third race. I would not be happy. They certainly are not the end of the Pit Straight they are used to. Engine Blow for Vestappen - not used to seeing those too often either.

What's the manliest thing you did over the easter weekend?
Wendy replied to Commander's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I only managed a Car Show Easter Weekend , today though - on a roll........ Shelsey Walsh this morning. Just watched BTCC Races 1 & 2 (Have seen 3) Just how brilliant was that - Race 2 - superb - on the edge of the seat stuff - Fabulous !! In approx 15 minutes Chinese F1 I know sunny outside !! Feel the same, but it is mega windy & blustery here. !! -
Did you get to the 928 meet today at Gaydon ? I didn't go, but know they were expecting between 30-40 to turn up.
-
With you totally on this. Don't get it at all. They should be sold to someone who will care for them and the money spent on something that would be enjoyed. Maybe if you washed them, this could lead to you taking them out ?? !!! Worth a try though !! Might just work.

Poor and bad Pronunciation of our language. When did 'something' become 'somethink' or 'somefink', 'anything' become and 'anythink' or 'anyfink' and on and on and on. Drives me nuts. The getting into packaging lark - I have resolved. I just get the scissors and cut, saves all the frustrations, cuts to hands, bad language etc. Works for me anyway !!!

I got caught last week loitering behind a postbox when I was drooling over a Maserati GranTurismo So embarrassed I had to own up to the owner who when he spotted me - I fell about laughing. I had been waiting just for him to start it up - that sound- heaven. He actually chatted to me for a while, with the car running, i could smell the fuel burning off, that was rich. He very kindly burnt it off up the street. My location at the time Mayfair... obviously !!! I used to as a child get taken out in the back of an E Type - 12 years old, no seats, so laying full stretch in the boot area. My brother and I loved it.

You asked for it. https://mapsengine.g...user=0&hl=en-GB https://mapsengine.g...user=0&hl=en-GB https://mapsengine.g...user=0&hl=en-GB Depart Portsmouth 20th June return Santander 5th July Booking the ferry might be difficult at this late stage but all the hotels are booked but I'm sure they're not booked up. Thanks !! The first 2 links did not work !! You certainly have what look like good trips planned. I look forward to hearing about the one which you depart on Sunday. I think I already have several commitments for the June/July one, will check later and pm you. Are you doing the Monaco classic ? I don't recall the dates right now, do they tie up to this ? Actually I think they are May. -
I gather there are a few folk going on their own. Hope so, as I will be.

So............where are any of the trips being offered to other 350 members ? Think its horrid - everyone shouting out - I am off here on this road trip. that road trip.........where are the invites ? I know there is Wales and The Lakes - not quite the same. Oh well. Feeling grumpy - have VAT Visit - nothing that really concerns me - but how many questions !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Guess I have 2 daily's as I drive both my 350z and my Corrado VR6 about the same. Can't bear to take either of them off the road for any length of time !!
