its difficult to control the laser cut on ally on a 4kw laser so i avoid it like the plague lol...

can you bolt a st/st one onto aluminium, they have different expansion tolerances? if you can get me one to copy I can have a go!

the board is made out of two 10mm think black plastic foam board that is used on sign boards, so its strong but lighter than wood. I have edged it with 2mm think rubber foam so it fits nice and snug wont mark the plastic.

thanks guys Dave the Z logo is one I drew and lasered out of mirrored st/st, then give it a little extra polish for good measure lol!

hi folks below is my attempt at a vertical tonneau cover that is not wood, but 4D carbon wrapped, rubber edged and bolted in place, and to top it off a big chrome polished Z badge in the middle. Im well happy with the results it looks a pro job if I don't mind saying lol. Ian thanks for the IMG info! the brackets I will spray black at the weekend so they blend in better. hope you guys like the look?

Its just a first attempt, I offered it up see if I can fit it and alter so I don't have to damage the oem bumper in any way so MK2 is now in process!

thanks David. the 4D carbon stuff has like anti bubble textured under surface and is quite flexible so easier to wrapped than the Di Noc.

its bolted in as well!!! the two vertical net mounts under the brace I drill out to 9mm and fitted 6mm rivnuts in place, then screwed in two strong 5mm thick st/st brackets that are angled at 110 degrees to suit divider angle. I will try and get some photos that show how that looks too for you mate.

yes mate its all the 4D stuff.. I wrapped a vertical boot divider I knocked up today and will be fitting a big mirror finished z logo I lasered out tomorrow and post that up for you mate.

I have been busy making a prototype stainless steel grill for my facelift zed. I offered up MK1 today just to see were fixings can be made and any alterations. IF any one can send me an out line of the slam panel for pre and post facelifts I can laser out some in stainless steel and even laser out some lettering in them, like nismo or 350z etc...

I have come across these beauties when I have been trawling!! Im seriously considering these babies as they will match the rest of the illumination in the car, not only that they do it for the rear brace cover too!!! these are about $200 for the door sills. and about $225 for the rear strut cover but if you bought both its about $350.
