Steering Wheel Controls Problem Code P1564
iwanprice12 replied to iwanprice12's topic in Forum IT Issues & Bug Reporting
DE mate, revup. How much is it? Currently in the process of selling the car so don’t want to spend too much! Cheers -
Hi, Been having problems recently with the steering wheel controls on my 350z. the code above has come up with the OBD, suggesting Steering Wheel Switch. Anyone got any suggestions? The cruise control, volume etc does not work. Been having problems with the Cruise Control (not setting at all) on the wheel or the dash and the Volume side only works sometimes. Is it the same switch for both sides of the wheel? Does anyone happen to have one for sale? Cheers

Unfortunately the time has come to sell the Zed after 5 years of ownership...the joys of growing up! . Having to settle for something with 5 seats. It is a great car, very rarely let me down (except for the 'banana' arms). Some subtle modifications 350z GT 2006 - Azure Blue - 300 bhp 97k miles (been serviced by myself for the past 5 years, every year regardless of mileage). Filters & oil changed. Will go up slightly due to being used daily for work (8 miles a day) Black Leather Electric Heated Seats/Electric mirrors Factory Fitted Sat Nav with updated disc (the most recent I could find) A/C - still ice cold and works great MOT until May 2019 'Banana' Arms on both sides have been done in the past year (passenger side within the last 3 months) Brakes fitted with EBC discs and pads less than 10k ago. 3 keys (2 fobs and 1 master key) 18" Rays Forged Alloy Wheels with good Nexen tyres (passenger front could do with changing) AUX Belts changed in the past 3 months (less than 2000 miles ago) UPGRADES Cobra Resonated Stainless Steel Exhaust - 'Y' Pipe and Cobra Back Box - Great noise and not too much of a drone on the motorway. Pioneer BT Double Din head unit - Hands free fitted - Bluetooth connection & IPod connection HKS Panel Air Filter - always cleaned regularly. 350z Genuine Floor & Boot Mats Dynamat fitted to the wheel well to reduce road noise. 350z Engraved 'M-Tech' Gear Knob - Great weight and feel 350z Silver Door Sill Plates 'Z' Divider - fits between the brace Not So Good Bits Stone chips on the front bumper & bonnet (common) Some marks on the interior plastics Wear on the bolster of the driver side seat (I have got replenisher/polish to do this, just never got round to it, included in the sale) Scratches and dings on the bodywork - as you would expect from a 12 year old car. Most I imagine would polish out with a good detailing but unfortunately my talents can't do this! Volume button is temperamental on the steering control - will work sometimes, sometimes it won't. Alloys could do with a refurb (again common with these cars) I have tried to be as honest and open as I can. Again, selling with a heavy heart but the car must go. Feel free to message with any questions and viewings are welcome (In South Wales - SA14) Price - £5400

Possibly selling...not 100%! What's the value?

Was just wondering if it is a realistic price with the way the market is though? Not sure as haven’t seen many Rev Ups with 100k on the clock. -

Thanks for the reply. If I’m honest, between £6250-£6500 I was thinking I would be advertising, if I was to sell. Thanks again. -

Thanks for the reply. If I'm honest, that seems a bit low for what I wanted (although as mentioned the market seems to have plummeted recently) as I have been offered £5750 with a Trade In. I'm not 100% when or if I will be selling but the likely hood is it will be over the Summer. -
Unfortunately, having owned the Zed for 5 years, I am debating selling my 56 Plate Rev Up for something that has more seats...isn't set in stone yet but could be a possibility in the near future (I know I won't find a car with as much bang for buck as the 350z but wouldn't mind something similar). Whatever achieved from the sale of the Zed will be used to purchase the 'new' car. Current thoughts are - Focus St, Civic Type R, BMW 330 M Sport, Audi A-4 S line 3.0 TDI) I have owned the car for the past 5 years - always looked after and work done to it as & when it has been needed. Having looked online, I am unsure what the value of the car is? I have seen the market plummet in recent times, considering what some cars are selling for. Here is the description; 56 Azure Blue GT 350z (Factory Sat Nav, Rays Wheels, Leather Seats) Rev Up - 300 bhp 97k miles - serviced every year by myself, regardless of mileage (oil & filters changed) Cobra Resonated Exhaust - Y Pipe and Back box. HKS Panel Filter Silver Sill Plates - optional extra Pioneer Bluetooth Double Din (Reverse camera as well but not currently working, will be sorted) 350z Genuine Front & Boot mats 'Z' Tonneau/Boot divider M-Tech 350z Gear Knob Bad Points Some age related marks - dings & scratches Rays Wheels could do with a refurbishment. Stone chips on the bumper & bonnet. Some marks on the interior (door handles although they have been covered in vinyl), Plastics, Steering wheel. Just general use & wear and tear. Obviously it is difficult to place a value without any photos (will get them sorted within the next few days once it's been washed) but just looking for a genuine ball park figure of what I could achieve?

Thanks gents. Hopefully will be the switch. Will have a search on the forum to see if there's any advice or a guide to removing it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Headlights seem to work fine and the voltage from the battery seems to be normal. Will try and sort my laptop later to add the video. Thanks for the advice gents. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Normal when it does. Really bizzare as it's fine sometimes, then sometimes will take a few turns to do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is this much of a job? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi, Recently the car has been quite intermittent in starting. Usually, depress the cluth and the starter motor kicks in and the engine fires up. But recently all the lights on the dash light up, but the engine doesn't turn over? Bit confused...wondering if this would be a starter motor issue or a dodgy Earth? As I said, sometimes fires up at 1st time of asking, somtimes not at all. I have done a video but not sure whether I can upload from my phone via Tapatalk? Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
