  1. an unfortunate side effect of silver it that its very difficult to match. You'll never get an decent match from a pre-mix rattle can. Might be easier to get a bodyshop to spray it up for you or get some custom matched paint mixed.
  2. it might be the flux capacitor as your only 7mph away form time travel. Failing that try folding your wing mirrors in for a few seconds and see if it stops. Mine whistle a bit and that solved my issue. Stopped after i moved them in/out a bit.
  3. right: After going over a speed hump a bit sharpish im fairly sure ive cracked my y-pipe <<>> cat flange. There's an audible whistle under load and it looks to be completely made of rust anyway. The car has a K1 from the y-pipe back that does rattle but is otherwise in good nick and i'd be reluctant to replace. The dilemma i face is 3 fold: Do i just get a scorpion y-pipe and have it fitted and leave it at that. Spend a bit more and replace the whole catback system for something that sounds nice and flows better, or go the whole hog and book in at horsham for a full exhaust including HFC's, revup and a plenum. I quite like the invida true dual exhaust and its not too bad price wise, plus i wanted to get the revup/plenum done anyway. Im leaning towards the latter option but the £1700 ish bill is going to be a bit of a killer. and im not too sure if its worth the outlay when a £120 pipe will do. Can anyone recommend getting everything done or should i just get a y-pipe?
  4. i either hit those or the hazard lights. v annoying.
  5. is it an easy job, my clutch is like a week old salad once its hot and im thinking a braided line + slave cylinder may help but cant seem to find a guide for the replacement (any ideas anyone)
  6. follow it up with s30, doesnt sound like it will make a massive difference but will crisp up the finish by miles. looks nice though.
  7. its definately the tailpipe, i can hold it down with a finger and it doesnt rattle, i'll try a small bolt tomorrow. thanks chaps.
  8. i debated swapping it but i'd have to go the whole hog and go for a y pipe and HFC's aswell, then it gets a bit pricey. And fitting a second hand exhaust on a driveway isnt too easy. EDIT: im in the east mids, if anyone has a welding machine i can pay a few beer tokens.
  9. probobly been answered many many times but here we go: How do i fix a rattley japspeed K2. it came on the car when i bought it and its in fairly good nick so i cant really justify replacing it but everything ive tried fails. Ive gone through an entire tub of exhaust paste and it still rattles like mad. There are no local places that will weld it for me and i dont have a welder so thats out of the question. Has anyone had any luck with those liquid metal epoxy type pastes or is there another solution ive not seen? i debated hammering the inner lip in a bit but dont want to ruin the shape of the pipe, ive pushed metal shims in the gap and pasted them in but they allways fall out and the rattling like a bag of spanners is annoying. even when its warm it still rattles. any ideas?
  10. Motul 8100 Eco-nergy is what I stock and has proven to be extremely popular mate. Plenty in stock. http://www.350z-uk.c...rvice-kit-4695/ Can be bought on own or as a service pack: Alex. will vouch for this, given me an extra 1MPG since changing which is nice. Smells good too
  11. i paid around the same for my 05 350z with 49k on the clocks in black (they seem to be more expensive) i also got 6 months tax too. there are loads around so if your not 100% walk away and wait for something perfect to come along.
  12. http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/exterior-coatings/c4-permanent-trim-restorer/ i know its £22 for 15ml but it works miracles on plastic trim. If you youtube it you'll find some before and after shots of various trim pieces and it should do a job. Can be applied with a cotton bud and takes 30 secs so might be the easiest method anyway.
  13. without wanting to elbow in, but if yella fella doesnt want the badges i'll cover the postage + throw in some beer tokens for them.
  14. the silverline rotary is a bit heavy and vibrates quite a bit. I'd use the argos vouchers for something else and get a good quality DA (das 6 pro can be had for £100 brand new and is a cracking bit of kit) thats more beginner friendly but perfectly capable.
