Sorry to hijack a thread but could someone tell me the order of bleeding... is it left rear.. right rear.. front left front right???

I'm changing my brake fluid to rbf 600, iv never changed brake fluid before but how hard can it be right... (famous last words)

I'm going to syringe most of the old fluid out, fill with new and then have someone pump the brakes and then open the bleeder till clean fluid flows.. just wanted to now the order of what brake to bleed first please??. And any other tips would be appreciated

    Cheers

Look at the thread at the top of the brakes page, it is very helpful.

you have 2 bleed nipples on each calliper.

If you were at Coventry and really liked what the team guys were wearing, send me a pm for your very own forum wear. £20  for a polo shirt, £15 for a T including delivery. Ts in stock ready to post, or hassle @Lexx tonight who has some with I'm and save on postage.

You got any pictures of the polos?

    (No photos of mints please)

  3. Ok so lots of info out there but... wtf is going on with the brakes?!

Had the caliper off to be repaired and all the fluid drained out. Thought meh I can fix this... 3 bleed attempts later I still have a spongy brake pedal so take it down to my local independent... they spend 2 hours draining through the system (trust me I sat and watched) still not right. The brakes work but they are not as sharp as before I took off the caliper.

    Any ideas?

Am I going to have.tp take it to Nissan?!

There's quite a bit of info on the forum, some horror stories and probably plenty of happy customers too.

For me, they were fine for 20,000 miles and if I'd been near the garage that fitted them, they new ones would probably still be okay.  For me, I sometimes take my car on long trips and a hose rubbing on a wheel on a long motorway trip could see it wear through completely.  The hoses themselves seemed fine, but I'm not keen on the way they mount to the car.

    This is interesting.

So what brand do people recommend?

Hadn't heard of RTS before but can see Tarmac sell them, they look good and seem to get decent reviews!  What pads are you running?

Thanks for the info, I'm kinda put off MTEC after reading a lot of reviews of them failing under high stress which I'm guessing is because they're cheaper. What sort of driving do you use the car for?

Sorry just seen this - I'm just running brembo pads at the moment, got some ds2500 on order for track use.

I'm working away until the weekend but will try and dig some details out when I get home or if you're attending the anniversary meet in Coventry this Saturday, I can bring it with me then.

    Hi

I have one that I've never used. I bought it for my Z but it doesn't fit as I failed to take into account the body kit on my car. If you want to try it out on your car I live in Nottingham. It cost me £350, (top of the range, outdoor use, weather proof, breathable etc) but I'm willing to negotiate.

You got a link to details?

I am after one too and am in derbados
