  1. Haha what problem? Spotting zed's? Or hooked on breaking bad lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Both, just finished breaking bad. Unsure what to do with life now ... I've only got 5 episodes left.... Pretty addicted to watching it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Stretch it out for as long as poss, mind you the last one is a real cracker
  2. What a series! The most addictive TV ever
  3. I find this as well unless i do a really gentle blip - I think that this because the revs decay really slowly when you lift off (that big heavy oem flywheel?), but when you blip the revs rise quite rapidly resulting in them being too high by the time you let the clutch out and causing a lurch or shift lock? (just learned a new term). Time to get a lightened flywheel!
  4. If youre not bothered about ground clearance/offroadability, how about a 4motion vw - virtually all models available with it. Very good in snow i've got the sharan tdi
  5. So how much for the headers?
  6. Just thought I'd post this. Dont know whether these events are solely a northern thing. The car is mid-engined and 4wd. Robin told me that it doesnt have any engine mods - except the plenum is back to front for better packaging and the sump is much larger as he wasnt impressed with the oe sump capacity (it also has the propshaft running thru it).y It sounds pretty dramatic in the flesh! try this http://www.clarkson4x4.co.uk/warrior
  7. Not 100% sure but i think the manual just advises against splitting the caliper
  8. Thanks for this, its been a while since I've looked in on this - wow!
  9. try driving diesel people carrier for a while - your zed will feel fab, i guarantee
  10. yeah i tried the oven cleaner - but after doing a bit of research on youtube, i think the only way to do it properly is to remove it and strip it which will be a pain - the dealer would just replace it which would be £1000+ probably!
  11. just make sure you dont do too much wafting on all that torque because the turbo will clog up with carbon deposits - quite a big issue with earlier engines (including mine). Apparently a good regular thrashing is the answer Yeah I rebuilt the turbo on my bro in laws gt tdi, was all clogged up but it had done 225k ! So he wasn't complaining just out of interest was it "just" a strip down and clean or new seals etc - i have seen replacement cartridges on ebay (includes both wheels, bearing etc). I ask cos i've got to do mine - which started giving problems at around 80k, going into limp mode etc)

Rust always looks worse than it actually is - a corrosion specialist once told me that rust has 10 times the volume of the original metal!
  14. standing out nicely from the repmobiles coming the other way!
  15. very nice, parked outside an old stomping ground from 6th form days - now converted to flats
  16. worth a look! http://www.petrolicious.com/righini-collection
  17. think the iphone works - does on mine whereas samsung wont
  18. Because it is aluminium alloy and so cant rust - it would be interesting to know whats causing the corrosion and how to repair it properly - arent there any paint experts out there?
  19. lovely! I notice there's a red one behind it too
  20. Had a look today - the reservoir is hidden behind the engine. Anyway there was no fluid in it and there turns out to be a big hole in at least one pipe hidden up above the exhaust heat shield - one of the more protected sections you would have thought. Sorry to waste anyone's time
  21. Rather have a SInger - this looks to be trying a little too hard
  22. Similar problem on my 350 - going to try only running it on recirculate with the ac on see if that makes a diff. Mind you the ac only works with ambient temps above 6 degrees? Also, saw a product in the latest evo which was aimed at this problem - "rain-x anti-fog", it cured the problem with the journo's car, but took 2 applications.
