I was exactly the same. Always loved/drooled over each Z model over the years since I was a teenager but could never afford one or manage with 2 seats with young families/wives/divorces, etc. until I retired and had some spare cash burning a hole in my pocket. And with there going to be no more new wives/kids/divorces again, ever, it was the obvious thing to do. I expect it`s the nearest thing to a super car that I`ll ever own and plan on keeping it until I'm really old and doddery and a danger on the roads and someone takes my licence away..

Help please guys, could win some new suspension!

Done, good luck -
Yeah, definately time to be looking for a replacement. (wife).

I would replace it with the Nismo then I wouldn't feel as bad about having done it.

I like that it`s purpose made and not just a common or garden hatchback with a fast engine but dislike that they're now just about as fast. I like that for the very high insurance group it`s in, it`s still really cheap for me to insure but dislike that the VED costs £45 each and every month. I like that it`s got a big powerful engine but dislike that it doesn`t really feel that big and powerful when you stick your foot down at 50 in 6th, on the motorway, coming out of the road works and everyone else easily keeps up with you. I don`t like that the gearbox on the wife's Mokka is much nicer and smoother and easier to use, or, that going anywhere in that cost us less than half as much in fuel but I do like that mine`s done a lot less mileage because we use that more often. But most of all I like that I now own one after always drooling over them in the past year after year.

Blue 350 with black louvres on the rear side windows. Was at the lights on Outer Circle Rd turning right towards Lidle early afternoon on Thursday.

Mine`ll be 4 years old in a couple more months and done 15.5K miles completely trouble free. Only ever been back to the dealers for the annual services.

I don`t find the suspension too hard but have found the road noise is quite high. I just turn the radio up higher.

I try to park as far away from everyone else as possible in the most empty sections but still often come back to it to find some numpty parked just inches away in the adjoining space in an otherwise deserted car park with all the spaces empty for miles in every direction.

The Mk1 Nismo became available just shortly after I got mine and at just £2k more, but, with the less than pretty body kit, cloth seats, a disappointingly extra 16bhp and with harder suspension for our crappy, bumpy. pot holed roads, I would have probably still chosen the GT Edition given the choice.

I don`t recall ever seeing so much of a drop when cruise is on. Seems to keep pretty steady at the speed set to within a couple of mph above or below.

04 reg, black soft top, parked in the car park at JTF about 12.30 today.

This is the one I was thinking of, http://www.350z-uk.c...de#entry1343194

Sat Nav was not standard equipment on the GT models until very recently. The main change in the last few years was the premium connect which I think was fitted from 2011. There is a thread on here somewhere which lists the different models/changes of since 2009.

Just upgrade to a newer 370....
-
According to the onboard computer thingies the wife`s diesel Mokka manages just over twice as much on the average fuel consumption as the 370.....

Can only comment on the first two; 1. No, (not that iv`e ever been able to find anyway) 2. Hill start assist - if I remember right it activates when in gear and handbrake is not on having stopped with foot brake on an incline, but seems to be a bit hit and miss as to when/how steep the incline makes it activate, it`s supposed to release when you start to pull away or after 3 or 4 seconds if you don`t.

I seem to remember there was something on here recently ,or, on some site or other or in the news, where an owner had sold a car/motorbike and not cancelled the insurance. The new owner did not insure it, had an accident and the original owners insurance company were still liable as they were still insuring it as it hadn`t been cancelled and so they then sued the original owner or something?

We`re with Sky since we moved cos there`s no Virgin cable in the village and get close to the 40MB sometimes as promised with their fibre option. Only trouble is quite often it drops down to just a couple of MB or even less for some unknown reason as I thought Sky weren't suppose to slow you down like Virgin did with their "traffic management".

Thought I`d post this on here to see if anyone has any ideas as we seem to have a lot of knowlegeable people and the Mokka forum wasn`t forthcoming with any; We were out in the wife`s Mokka the other day when the rear nearside window decided to open all by itself for no apparent reason as we drove along and then wouldn`t close on any of the buttons for several minutes. It repeated the same thing a couple of times on our journey and then after being parked up for a couple of hours we returned to it and all was fine until I turned on the ignition and the window just lowered again all by itself. It went down under power as opposed to just falling down and re initialising it has seemed to make no difference even after disconnecting the battery for a while and it doesn`t seem to be the same issue as some have had with all the windows lowering by inadvertently pressing of the key fob. Anyone any ideas as to what might be the problem and cure before I make a trip to the dealer? Thanks, Wayne.

I`ve always thought the 370 was been missing a lot of stuff - like a digital speedo, auto dimming rear view mirror, memory positions for the seats, auto folding mirrors, which a lot of other cars seem to have as standard nowadays.

The world is full of muppets. In fact, I`m of the belief that there are more muppets around than normal, rational, well adjusted people now a days.

We got to move, at last, on the 27th May just a couple of weeks before the mortgage offer expired and are now residents of a small village just outside Lincoln.. All the waiting and worry and stress and living in a house half full of boxes are fading into distant memories and already got a refund from the insurance company as it`s a much cheaper post code area.. The DVLA, though, managed to change my "change of address" to a "change of owner" and added a former keeper to the V5 and cancelled the excise licence and direct debit.. and I think the wife`s right stitched me up with the promise of good weather if I moved, so far it`s been no better, or even worse, than rainy Manchester..
