Hi and welcome. Sorry we`re too far away to be of any use in letting you try it but I can tell you that the wife does think it`s too low and definitely wouldn`t be a car of choice for her but then she did pick a Vauxhall Mokka to be extra high up and get 50 odd mpg. She says it can be awkward to get in and out depending on how much room there is at the side and insists on a cushion for longer journeys as the seats so low. I on the other hand think it`s excellent and have no regrets getting it at all. -
Cheers. It looks a lot nicer still when it`s not covered in bugs and 300 an odd miles worth of road grime. Was tempted to get it hand washed when we were leaving Torquay to head to St Austell until I saw the big plastic squeegee thing they were using to wipe down with. Just got back home tonight so got all day tomorrow to give it a good clean up, although, being back in Manchester now it will no doubt be raining !

Just got back from a week in the country lanes of Cornwall, well back in Gainsborough to see the in laws, back home to Manchester on Saturday. Saw a black 350 at the weekend just outside St Austell on the road to Truro, was parked up and looked like it lived there as saw it again day or two later. then saw another black 350 just before we got into Truro. Saw an orange 350 somewhere thereabouts as well, think it was Tuesday or so and then a 59 plate grey 370 coming up the M5 behind us today & got off at Avonmouth. Just have to scrape the weeks worth of bugs off the front end now and get it all cleaned up again soon as we get home !

Hi & welcome. That rear wing fit under low bridges ??
-
We looked at the A1 when the wife was choosing a new car earlier this year but they seemed very bland and plain inside and basic spec didn`t include hardly anything at all. Even when we looked at the better spec`d range like the S Line you still had to add on loads of the things that she wanted such as Sat Nav, etc. as extra`s bumping the price up by a few grand. I think we had configured it to over £21,000 by the time she had finished. She ended up with a complete change in style, Vauxhall Mokka which had every extra she wanted for £17,500.

Hi and welcome. The wife`s from "G Town" so we get over there fairly regularly to see her family, so maybe see you around in one in the near future... -
I don`t like the look of the Nismo. Think they`ve spoilt the looks of the car just for the sake of trying to make it look different/sportier and only having an extra 16bhp does not make it worthwhile being uglied up !! If it had an extra 50bhp and needed the extra body bits that`d be different. Do agree, though, it always has to be white,
-
Difference of opinion here. I think the 350 looks shocking if I'm honest with you and would never buy one. Better car for the money?..........do tell........... I'm guessing we'll have a difference if opinion here too. Have to agree, the 370 is a lot nicer. I always liked the 350 but thought the slope of the rear window never flowed into the boot line quite right and made the back end look a bit strange in profile. Much better on the 370 which is also much prettier at the front as well.

Never found it an issue on my RCZ which were active all the time but might be that I don`t generally pull up to others that close in traffic so as to activate the sensors !
-
Know what you mean, the wife`s just got a Vauxhall Mokka which has the same odd little rocker switch on the end of the stalk for the rear wiper but what I find even more odd on that is the front parking sensors are only active after you`ve either selected reverse (which activates the rears and front as well) or pushed the button to turn the front on. So if you pull up to something to park and haven`t previously used reverse during your journey and haven`t remembered to hit the button you drive into whatever`s in front whilst waiting for the pings to tell you to stop. Why wouldn`t you just want them to be active all the time !!!
-
Yeah, I always try to park well away from any other cars too but come back to it and find some idiots parked 6 inches away in an otherwise empty car park !!

I would have to say no. I`m not a fan of soft tops think they ruin a nice car and you have to put up with not having a proper roof all through the winter and bad weather just for the odd occasions when we do get a bit of nice summer weather (which in Manchester is never) and you can drive around with the roof down (unless you`re one of the types who drives around with the roof down in the middle of winter just to show that they`ve got a convertible). We don`t get the weather in this country to make it worthwhile, I`ve had an MGF for the last 8 years or so, although, the last 3 It`s just been sat in the garage but when it was on the road the number of times the weather was nice and we had the top down I can count on one hand and even then the wife complained about the wind messing her hair up. Although in some cars the convertible does look nice in a 350/370Z I think the coupe looks far nicer.

Maybe you've not see what happened to my car recently? Did someone run a red light and hit you? Not exactly. http://www.350z-uk.c...inished-page12/ A fair few thousand quid down the pan! Ah man that sucks! I would have gone Liam neeson style There you go then. Now maybe you'll see why I'm not impressed with flippant remarks. In fact its not the first time from Mr Block. My block is my father. First thing calm down. It was ment to be abit of banter but I didn't realise your such a girl. Also I want to know what other flippant remarks I have made? I agree with riceys point. Also I don't know why ekona is spouting his crap. I've gone through a few red lights who doesn't? The light is going Ambur just as your going up to the lights. You can either slam the brakes and get rear ended or just go through as it's turning red. Happened today at the clay pots junction actually. Your lying through your teeth if you haven't done that. If you`re driving (and approaching the lights) in the correct manner there is never a need to either slam on or go through a red light. The only reason for going through a red light is that you`ve tried to beat it when it changed to amber !!

24 and its £350....it's not just about age though unfortunately. Postcode, job, driving history etc! I don't really understand the huge differences that people pay. I'm 64, have held a full car license since 1969 and a full motorbike license since 1967. I've never been involved in any sort of collision, the only claim I've ever made was when my car was stolen and recovered with superficial damage in 1997. I have one speeding conviction from 1991 which has well expired, I'm retired, in excellent health and live in area classed by the insurance companies as low risk , B rating to be exact, do less than 3,000 miles a year and I'm paying £3 a year less than a 24 year old. O.K, I've got a very low excess and all sorts of goodies should I have an accident but it just doesn't add up really . Pete What I can`t understand is how you get to 64 without ever having an accident ! I`m 52 had my bike licence since I was 17 and car since 18 and had several accidents over the years where others have either knocked me off my bike, usually by turning into my path directly in front, or driven into my car and once even into the side of the big white police van I was driving whilst he was doing a U turn !! Never had an accident that was my fault but you can`t always avoid the bad driving of others.

Mine does lock the fuel flap with the rest of the car on both the door button and remote but I`ve not yet completely figured out when or what is supposed to unlock it - sometimes I pull up at the fuel pump having got in with the door button and it`s still locked and have to unlock the car again with the remote to release the fuel flap.
-
Good point. Was driving to Barcelona few years ago and having trouble finding our first stop in France late at night after major hold up for an accident on the motorway, was completely lost and after a U turn ended up driving down some country lane on the left hand side of the road until the approaching headlamps loomed larger and larger and then swerved around us ! Also, I remember having to carry replacement bulbs too.

Strikes me that Nissan weren't even very optimistic when it comes to fuel consumption on my 370 when the average fuel consumption bar chart thingy on the connect display only goes up to a maximum of 30.
-
I changed to Privilege when i got mine as they were cheapest and didnt require a tracker. my previous company would have done.
-
Go Compare always comes up with the cheapest for me. Even when it`s the company I`m already with it`s less than the renewal price they`ve sent me.
-
When I first got mine it was brand new and I found the change from first to second seamed to clunk and judder a bit if I wasn`t trying to be extra careful with the gear change. Don`t know if it was just me that needed to get used to it or something that needed a little bedding in but now after just over 3 months it seams to have gone away and be perfectly fine.

Hi, I traded up from a Peugeot RCZ GT200 3 months ago. The insurance is not much more but the tax will be almost 3 X as much and MPG just over 10 mpg less but well worth it for the extra 130bhp but then I don`t have to use it everyday as go to work on the motorbike.

Bet it`s nice driving on the roads up there. Everytime I go out round Manchester it`s all about avoiding traffic jams and speed cameras but off down to Cornwall for a week in September so that should be much more fun. Just wondering how I`ll fit all the wifes luggage in for a week, be at least 3 cases and several bags and her accessories and shoes and hair dryer and ...... !!!

Yeah, love it and want to keep going out for a spin round in it or just washing it. Looked on the Nissan web site today and the GT Edition isn`t listed anymore so got it just in time. When I ordered it in February the dealer said there was only one left available in the country in white which is definitely the best colour ! Not sure if it`s a limited edition that`s come to the end or they just haven`t made anymore yet but it`d be nice if it`s going to be a bit rare.
