I gave up over 30 years ago because they went up to £2 a packet and I thought how ridiculous it was to waist so much money on a packet each day 365 days a year - and how much are they now £7 to £8 ! Can`t believe anyone is prepared to pay that and end up smelling like an ash tray and then probably suffer the associated health problems. I know there were odd times when they were enjoyable - with a coffee, with a pint, after a meal, but the rest of the time was just habit. The wife gave up shortly after we got together 10 years ago when we realised we wouldn`t have a future together me being so anti smoking and her stinking of fags all the time. We reckoned up just the other day that if we both still smoked a packet apiece each day we would be spending well over £400 a month and I can think of dozens of better things to spend that on. It only takes will power, and the wife has none, so if she can do it anyone can then you have all that money each month to spend on the car or bike !

I did quite a long stint in the Custody Office putting drink drivers on the breath machine during my service and it never ceased to amaze me the condition of some who were brought in that couldn`t even walk or stand up properly but had been driving around in a car.

I`ve replaced my original wedding ring twice so far and don`t find new rings to be too expensive - it`s the divorces which are crippling ......

Can`t say that I`ve ever had more than the normal/expected bit of misting up - certainly no water droplets inside and it`s just out in the cold on the drive overnight.

And to think when I joined I had a crappy Metro or Chevette to drive around in.

I already did the deleting browsing history/temp files/cookies/etc. if that`s the same thing as clearing the cache. It didn`t make any difference. If not I`m not sure how to do it.

Just tried it with Google Chrome and as can be seen works fine. So what is it about the IE that`s doing it and how can I rectify it ?

Internet Explorer on my PC. Used to work just fine but now has stopped putting the quote in.

We ordered the wifes Mokka last January, only wanted it for June but they said factory orders took a while and it wasn`t ready till July.

Anyone got any ideas as to why I can`t quote topics any more when replying ? When I hit the "quote" tab it just gives me the normal reply with no quote in there ! Used to work just fine till just recently.

I have an issue that no matter how much I ponder over it I can`t seam to make my mind up. In recent years I had a GSXR750K3 and XVS1100 for summer fun and a supermoto of one kind or another for work, however, more recently I got rid of the GSXR and XVS as they just sat in the garage doing probably less than a combined 500 miles each year. Now that I`ve retired I don`t use the motorbike for work so for the last 6 months the XT660x has been sat in the garage and taken out on probably less than half dozen occasions and probably for less than 20 miles each time. The main reason for this probably being it`s a great ride to work bike but not so exciting for a blast round the countryside. So my dilemma is ; Do I keep the XT660x because it`s costing me next to nothing and being without a bike isn`t a desirable option at all (the only time I`ve been without a bike in 37years was from the first divorce until I then decided to get one again for the second - period of about 7 years). Even if it`s sat in the garage hardly being used it`s still there when I fancy putting some leather on, or, Do I swap it for a superbike or some other exciting piece of 2 wheeled machinery which will still sit in the garage hardly being used, be much more fun when it is used though, but take up another major chunk of my pension which has already taken a serious battering from buying the 370, the wifes new car, home improvements, holidays, etc. etc. etc. I seam to have a real talent for spending money and have purposely stayed away from the bike shops - cos how fatal is that !and wish I was as good at saving it and this idea of getting a new bike didn`t keep popping into my head ! On a completely separate issue, anyone find that when typing on this forum half the letters/spaces keep being missed out ?Don`t think it`s my key board as it only does it on here ! Took me about 2hours to typethis with th continal goig backto corrct it !!!

If a "ricer" is someone who puts badges/stickers on their car to make it appear to be faster/better/higher spec model than it actually is, such as the Turbo badge on a bog standard Fiesta 1.1L, Nismo badge on a none Nismo model, etc. I would have to say yes !

I chose the 370 as I have loved the Z`s ever since first being able to drive and it is probably the nearest thing to a super car that I would ever be able to afford and there was nothing else that I really liked in the same price/performance bracket. I do like and did consider the hot hatch types but I think the fact that the Z is not just a family saloon or hatchback with a highly tuned engine makes it so much more than just that.

Yes. Never let on to the wife that you can cook ! It`s worked for me with all 3.

We don`t have problems of not getting on with the wifes family just with them not being nearby so it`s Christmas Eve with my parents just down the road then a drive up to Catterick on Christmas day to spend it with the wifes daughter and grandson then from there drive down to Gainsborough boxing day to see the rest of her family and then back home on Saturday to finally chill out on our own. And the worst thing is with the wifes luggage for 4 days away and the Christmas presies that she`s got which must be for the whole population of North Yorkshire and Lincolnshire we`ll have to go in her Mokka rather than the Z.

I`ve just got a new one cos the Kodak one I got last year was rubbish quality so decided I`d pay more than the usual £50 for a decent one. I wanted an all in one with wifi but also A3 so got an Epson XP 950 which is very nice and has the individual inks and the MRP is about £350 but found the cheapest was o Ebay at £283 with free delivery. Prints very nice photos and would assume the equivalent A4 will be much the same.

My Rover 200vi. Made me teary eyed when I came out from work and found the roof had fallen on it ! And the RCZ I was very sad to let go but soon got over it as I had swapped it for the 370.
