But £140 a year road tax v £475 and if it`s similar fuel consumption to the GT200 I had, which the sales gumf said it would be, an average of 39mpg v 27mpg adds quite a lot to the desirability IMO.

Don`t get me wrong, I`m not a Peugeot fan per se but the RCZ was a very nice car and my problem with the GT86 is that it is a gorgeous car without the power or performance to match and the test that I saw of it made out that it doesn`t need much power or wide tyres because it can still be fun to drive and easily step out (read lose) the back end. Well where is there a place for that on todays public roads ?
-
Have you considered the Peugeot RCZ ? I know it`s not Japanese and not RWD but I had a GT200 before the 370 and really, really, liked it. And, although, the 370 has more in terms of power and performance the RCZ was better in terms of the nice features, comforts and equipment. Same power and 0-62 as the GT86 and small rear seats too and a huge boot. If I was ever to change the 370 (not really going to happen ! ever) I would definitely be tempted to go back to one especially with the new 270 bhp RCZ-R now out and the much cheaper running costs. Oh and was it you at Westway the other week ?

You got some grudge match lined up with a VXR ?....

Iv`e joined a few forums now with all this time on my hands since retiring - Mokka for the wife`s car, MGF for the car sat in the garage, Virgin Media to moan about the yearly 10% price hikes, wine brewing for the cheap home made vino, and find that this one is the best by far in terms of layout & usability, etc. (except for the constant re typing required) but one good feature they do have on the home brewing is the ability for everyone to drop their location pin onto a UK map which is quite useful and informative. Don`t know if such a thing would be possible or has ever been thought of or would be a good idea for on here !

Thanks i usually do use spell check on my computer but im doing this in my phone so its a little difficult But thank you everyone for the help and the spelling lessons Don`t let them get you worrying about it. Half of the posts on here have bad spelling and grammar and the other half are illegible due to the none compatibility issues of IE. Oh, and welcome.

It`s never nice being involved in an accident whether at fault or not as I`m sure most of us will know and feel gutted for you. Not wanting to stick the boot in to your already miserable situation but I think you`ll struggle to avoid the blame and will be setting yourself up for a lot of grief and mither if you want to fight it. It will always come down to the fact that for whatever reason the car in front of you stopped and you couldn`t which will always suggest you were either too close, going too fast or not paying attention to the road/traffic conditions. Even if the car in front does something totally unexpected the rules of good driving dictate that you should always be in a position to be able to stop no matter what. At best if she maintains her honesty about it she might be apportioned a part of the blame as well but how likely is it she`s going to do that once her insurance and solicitors get involved and her story then changes to she had to brake suddenly for whatever and you just ran into the back of her. Maybe just me being cynical but I`ve seen lots of it and especially if there are no other witnesses, if it was me, I would just leave it to the insurance company to sort out, that`s what we pay it for after all. -
You`ve got to wonder though, how come they didn`t make sure they`d got the new oil before they drained the old out ! Seems to me it`s all pot luck with what service you get at any place, recommended or not, good if you`re lucky, bad if you`re not.
-
It was the first one at 12 months old. With only 5 & 1/2 K though was only really oil and filter change and check everything else. £199. I could have had a courtesy car and do get a further 12 months breakdown cover which might be useful if it was needed.
-
I`m not sure. It is on the check list but so are several other things that I`m not convinced they bother doing. Just to access it`s general road driving maybe ? Excuse for the mechanic to razz it round (and sometimes crash it) ??
-
Had it`s first service at Nissan HPC Manchester yesterday and it didn`t end up on it`s roof on one of the city`s streets during a "mechanics test drive" so was well pleased about that and didn`t blow up on the way home so all good so far. Mind you how they managed to fit £1.63 worth of screen wash in will remain a mystery. Overall about as expensive as I expected for a main dealer and only took an hour and half which was handy as I sat waiting for it, but in reality at just over 5 & 1/2 K there was nothing needing them getting their hands dirty other than the oil & filter change. Got to look around the Nismo in the showroom which just made me feel more than happy with mine (over 37K and no leather seats ?) and came across another chap looking to see about a child seat in it - was that you stanski ? They also had a 370 under a cover and couldn`t tell if it was some new model about to be revealed or just the 2014 model with the DRLs on the front bumper, although, not sure why it would sill be undercover if it was. Of course I didn`t look too closely or start asking about it - cos how fatal is that !!!

I`ve just coughed up £261 for 6 months tax on the 370 (6 months so that it wont coincide with the service and insurance renewal again next time and MOT in another 2 years). Can`t say I enjoyed that one bit ! -
I`m not completely sure, only seen it on adverts. Think it`s something to do with being able to get info from t`internet to your Sat Nav - places nearby and such, via a mobile app. Not sure if it wasn`t the latest Juke that was advertised as having it or maybe the Qashqai.
-
Is this not a feature only available on some of the latest Nissan models - 370 not included ? (I`ve certainly not come across it with mine).
-
And hope they don`t get Kindertons to manage your claim if you have to make one .......

I have a manual and find the gearbox no problem at all around town. Other than can be a bit notchy from 1st to 2nd when cold I`d say it`s fine. Also, when I was looking to get mine the only mention of the Synchro Rev match facility in any of the Nissan sales stuff was on the manual gearbox models.
-
Looking at the American web sites and the handbook for mine I think they`re different and it`s just the American spec that has weight sensing ones for children in the car. There`s no mention of any of that in mine.

Fast & Furious 6 370z maybe not sure help!!!
Wayne370Z replied to Easty's topic in Spotted or Flyered
Yes, I watched it a few weeks ago and spotted the 370. -
The handbook just goes on about not fitting a rear facing child seat because of the airbag with no mention of any way to turn it off and only forward facing child seat should be used.

Glad to see you`re happy with it. It looks stunning - just like mine.
