Just after mid day in the traffic on the A19 just before the 2 roundabouts. We were heading opposite direction down to Gainsborough after our 2 nights in York.

I always wonder what people do when they fit MPSS tyres. Do you need to tell your insurer that you`ve fitted high performance tyres ? and stubby aerials and Z badges - a cosmetic modification ? And even if the insurance company do not increase the premium do you get the - "Thank you for ringing up, I`ll make a note of that. There is no increase in the premium so that will just be the £35 admin charge, thank you very much and have a nice day" ......

Got to agree with this. I also think that when you get done, you`ve got to hold your hands up and take it on the chin and not moan and complain about it and blame it on the Police (as most seem to want to) or the circumstances or whatever else - anything except yourself !

I tend to drink all my homebrew and just clean the Zed with a cheap car wash .......

The GT Edition was a special edition model - basically a GT with a few extras/modifications most notably the side stripes and only came in white (obviously the nicest). black and a funny purplish black (or blackish purple) ..... Hi and welcome. Think you mean a 370 GT as opposed to a 370 GT Edition ?

I got some from E bay or some other internet supplier (can`t remember exactly now) and they advised that they didn`t guarantee an exact match but it is close enough and, as you say, a lot better than the black showing through.

Been riding bikes for about 38 years (there is a previous thread were people have put up lists of what they`ve had). I had a Dorsoduro. Brilliant bike and loved riding it but it didn`t like starting in the cold weather so, after it had left me stuck getting home from work a couple of times I traded it in and went back to good old reliable Japanese. Got a Yamaha XT660X which I still have, although, it hardly gets used now since I retired

Similar thing happened to me when it was just a couple of months old. Gutted just doesn`t describe it does it ? Smart Auto repairs (from the interweb) did a brilliant and not too expensive a job and matched the strange colour of the GT Edition wheels exactly but I suppose it`s all down to the individual who covers your area.

And in case there are still those holding back for fear of increased mpg it makes **** all difference. What about the drop in BHP though, you`d need to turn it off when racing with a VXR or VRS surely ??....

I think the problem here is ; - letting the missus drive the Zed .....

Can`t believe we`re still carrying on with this worthless and stupid tradition from the stupid ages ! I`ve gone around the house this morning and altered the time on 26 different items .... And I`ll have to put them all back again in another 6 months ....

Think they like mopeds even more though. When we were there every family had one - and had the whole family on one ....

Got to admit that I didn`t realize that GT`s were "highly rare", I thought they were quite common ... !

I take it that it`s a given that no one lets a dog anywhere near their Zed ?.......

Some nice photos there. I keep meaning to get out more and take more photos especially now winter`s coming and there`s not much to keep me occupied around the house and garden. Only thing is, with the weather being always dull and dismal around here, the photos tend to just come out dull and dismal ! (probably my lack of skill though). It's not. I cba. Just don't like it when someone indirectly says Manchester is a @*!# hole. It is far from it. Too right. Got to agree with that. It`s only the weather that`s crap, most of the time. And the congestion everywhere, that`s a bit of a pain. And speed cameras everywhere too. And no open roads to blast around in the Zed or on the bike. Oh, and no where to park cos everywhere`s double yellows, but that's it. Well apart from speed bumps everywhere as well and no Metro Link out towards Wigan and ... - come to think of it - why have I lived here for 53 years ? Going to move over to Lincolnshire where the wife`s from. They have sunshine and villages and de restricted roads and countryside and free parking and cheap houses and ......(mind you, don`t really want to be too near the In laws though)....Perhaps a move to TOWE would be better - always looks great on the tele - pretty girls, and partying, and pretty girls, and drinks down the local, and pretty girls, (not that I watch it of course - the wife always has it on) ...... Did I mention the weathers always crap here ?......

Well I thought well done stripes look good but maybe I`m just not down with it anymore (or ever was). I just remember being old enough to be into cars in the 80`s and no self respecting muscle car was ever seen without them but I suppose that image has just been ruined now as you say with the Corsa boys. So let me just make sure I`ve got this now then so I know what`s "in" in future; We don`t like stripes but we do like dayglow colours and stickers plastered all over and we do like rear wings that look like they were made by Boeing ? We don`t like Lambo doors but we do like the wheels set at such an angle that it looks like the suspension has collapsed ? We don`t like CHAVS or RICERS but we do like putting badges on to make it look like a sportier model than it actually is ? Just so I don`t show that I`m old and out of touch in future ......

I found them to be spot on on my RCZ too, whilst not quite as eager on the 370 or the wifes Mokka.

Did you really dare to go and ask her that ? ....
