Plenty of threads on here about different cars, VXR`s, RS`s, granny in her 1.0 Fiesta, etc. which I think can be summarised to - just about everything is faster than a Zed .....
I think it will be the case that you may still have your 9 years NCB to apply to any new premium but the annual premium goes up when you declare that you have had 2 claims.
I think it would be more impressive (and useful) if they made big improvements in the range and charging times rather than unnecessarily quick 0 - 60 times.
Mine was one of the last, that the dealer could get in storm white anyways, but I do seem to recall having seen a 63 plate one since.
In the 2013 catalogue(web site) the standard GT didn`t have the upgrades that the GT Edition had.
Iv`e never driven a GT to compare but the ride/suspension on mine feels just fine and not too firm or crashy on our crappy pot holed roads.
For me the choice is an easy one;
We live in the UK where the weather is always crap.
The coupe looks so much better and has a proper roof for all the bad weather .......
Not sure my wife knows how to wash a car. Think I remember her washing her C1 that I got her for her birthday about 8 years ago. Just the once mind you. Now she just expects me to wash them both each week. Maybe it`s time to start looking for wife No 4 .....
It`s a minefield out there. I think you can never tell who`s genuine and who`s not. Just sold my MGF on Ebay. It hadn`t been used on the road for 7 years and I thought I`d be lucky to get much more than scrap value for it selling it for spares or repair so started the auction at the scrap value and it went for almost 8X that amount in the end. I was certain that they can`t realise they`re buying something that I said had no guarantees about the condition as it had been sat in the garage for 7 years or they`re a bit dodgy and they`re not going to be prepared to pay up when they come to collect it but the buyer turned up and was well happy with it and handed over the cash in full before loading it up and taking it away.
Yes, and it will be 8 years in August .... but she has decided that she wants to move back to Lincolnshire and now that I`ve retired I`m struggling for an excuse not to ....... After all you can hardy argue a case to stay in Manchester for the weather can you ?
So the house is up for sale. It was either that or start looking for wife No. 4 .....
But at least she knows that she will have to go before the Zed ......
Around 8`ish Thursday evening having just arrived that afternoon saw a Grey/Silver 350 parked in the Travelodge car park.
Then a few minutes later a black 370 few yards further down the main road (Birmingham Rd) turning into the retail park.
Then a few yards further on again a white 370 Nismo new shape coming along the same road.
I thought my performance enhancing alloy valve caps where safe after having them on for about 18months or so until I was washing it one day and found they were missing.
I'm a laydee so not going to reveal my age, ha ha I have a 21 year old daughter though so I'm definitely 'mature'. I'm not looking for a 'scientifically' worked out answer though, just interested in the thoughts and experiences of others in my position
I have a 27 year old daughter and don`t consider myself to be too old for anything yet. You`re only too old when you physically can`t do it so try it and see how you get on .
I had never driven one at all before I got mine and only thing I found was it was difficult to change 1st to 2nd smoothly. Don`t know if it was because it was new or I just mastered the art of it but it seemed to go away quite quickly and then everything was just fine and I just loved it but I would never have gone for the auto just out of personal preference. There are plenty on here, though, (disillusioned souls .... .) who swear the auto to be better than the manual so can`t be all that bad when you`re used to it.
The interior I think is okay but I did prefer that in my RCZ. I think the Zed feels a more sporty place to be sitting but less luxury/quality/and features. The overall package of looks/performance/price more than makes up for an little niggles or negatives it might have when comparing it to others though.
Hopefully you`ll soon come to love yours too.....
