This. Had budget tyres on mine the whole time I owned it and never had any issues with losing traction or the traction control system being intrusive, not even in the snow. Get the geometry checked over for peace of mind, but if you're genuinely getting this: you either drive like a complete tool or your car has a serious fault. Also, please use the app "glympse" so we can see where you're driving and keep well out of the way.

I had one of these, looked good but didn't fit brilliantly and wasn't the strongest, had to have it held together with a millionty cable ties before I was on the M1 and it exploded into a billionty pieces and the two large side pieces dragged down the road until I kicked them off and threw them in the boot -
False. You can't use your average pencil in a spacecraft as graphite conducts electricity and shatters under normal use (pencil lead breaking) when your pencil lead breaks fine graphite dust is released which could cause hell floating around getting into fine electrics. The truth of the story is far better, special "space pencils" were used in the 50's which were $125 each or something crazy, but in the end both sides used the Fisher Space Pen which neither side paid anything to develop.

Pics or it didnt happen not my proudest moment, the blood is from where my head hit the windscreen. Many months of letters between myself/parents/representation and vauxhall/the dealership ensued. Not me going after them either massively stressful time and thankfully ended in no action for me/my parents. (I was 17 at the time and had to fall back on my parents for support, luckily they didn't have to pay!) I hope you climbed out and said, I'll take it! I think I climbed out and said "oh sh1t what just happened" then I cried

Having been in a very similar situation (not a supercar fortunately!!) I just walked away, nothing to pay, nothing to claim. However I did buy a car from a different dealership as the one I had the test drive from reacted so badly and were so rude. The police had to get involved as the road had to be closed for the vehicle recovery and they obviously investigated the crash and said I wasn't driving dangerously etc, so the dealership had to deal with it themselves. I presume that a supercar dealership will have a pretty hefty waiver on the cars though!

Drifted at Santa Pod (multiple times, as in 10's of times!), Silverstone, Donnington, Zandvoort, Lydden Hill with them on (probably a couple of others too), for anyone who's familiar with drifting will know how many tyre changes that involves and how much force drifting puts on hubs etc. Also did a track session on them at Castle Combe with never a sniff of an issue, either in the spacer or the studs.

Not much to report, just some primer going down all of my parts have arrived in Watford which is cool, so I'll be collecting them in the next few weeks. Next week I'll be putting the corvette brakes onto the truck and then fitting the new suspension springs/struts on the front as soon after as I can Progress will be slow now for a bit as Christmas is happening

Come on then, what speed were you REALLY going, as you say you saw him running into the road. That means 129 is your CAUGHT speed AFTER you've slammed the jesus pedal down... edit: spelling mistake

Progress has been slow the last week or so, Thanksgiving etc slowed down my parts arriving from the states, so I can't do much without them and I've struggled to find someone to modify my gearbox for me, I've found someone now, but they are fully booked up until early January. So far only my lowering springs have arrived, I'm still waiting on the next 18 parts All I've really got done is that I've taken the engine back out and given the chassis rails a sanding. I've got new arch tubs on the way, so they and the firewall will be painted together in the new year before the engine goes back in permanently.

Scary Scary! Anyone bought a car from S Ireland and imported to UK
AliveBoy replied to Flex's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Not the same, but I would definitely agree with what Coldel said about swallowing the airfare if the car isn't as described. I saw my truck and thought "great, it's not as described, but I'm here and it should be ok" I had a gut feeling and I should have listened to it. You might get there and it's perfect, but if it's not, don't be too pig headed to walk away like I was. I'm now several thousand pounds and many hours in to get the truck almost to a level it was supposed to have been on purchase. -
It belongs to my friend Dan. He did all the work himself on his parents driveway at home up to and including the primer; the spraying of the paint after primer was done by a professional. He did an engine swap for an SR20DET which puts out around 350bhp. It was the first SR20 conversion into a capri in the UK for a while, but a couple more have been done since.

Nah, I think the removal of the rev limiter on the DE sounds more fun complete removal would be amazing! Hey look, his piston hit the moon:

I don't wear underwear when I'm on a track day to avoid unnecessary weight. I can feel the difference it makes.
