What is your tyre profile? That can make a big difference, without being rude, they were definitely installed correctly weren't they? I've seen people leave this bit in before:

I know it's a beautiful car to unfortunately I need to sell my car first and I'm out of country soon until mid June bad timing for sure. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk That's what I'm saying.. maybe if you drop Daryl a PM, you might be able to work something out so the timing works out of you? I can promise you, this car has had no expense spared on it and has been well and truly loved. Daryl is a super cool dude, definitely worth a message. I held my Camaro for 2 months for a guy after he gave me a non-refundable deposit, I wanted it to go to a good owner lol.

That is because that's exactly what he has done though?

The years havent been kind to Boyzone have they? and that's one hell of a beer bong behind them! -
http://www.gazshocks.com/ They made me two custom shocks with springs for £272 including delivery and VAT for my truck, I told them the spring rates I wanted etc. Super helpful and a great price. I'll be getting custom suspension every time now.
-
They are already spaced 70mm and Mike knows they need more Jesus Christ on a bicycle! Just get custom wheels Also, the wing vents, roof scoop and quarter panel scoops, are they functional?

When I was 18 my parents moved to the Channel Islands for my Dad's job with short notice, leaving me in their house. I was soon to finish college and all of my friends were about to go off to Uni. Suddenly I was 18, living in a 4 bed house with "no" friends and "no" parents. I was working freelance and the job I was doing I worked every day of the summer months and only 5 or 6 days of the winter months. When winter came around I was brutally lonely as I felt trapped inside my own head and house, I wasn't depressed, I just had a bad year or so. The absolutely best thing I ever did was volunteer. I decided to become a scout leader as it was something I enjoyed as a child. My weekends had scout camps, dodgeball tournaments, hikes and cook outs. My week nights had planning meetings, scout meets, award ceremonies, canoeing, rock climing to name a few. I still do it now and some of the other leaders are great friends. The next year I moved into my own flat, got a proper job and then bought my first Z. It's amazing how fixing one problem in life causes a change in attitude, which makes you realise how to fix other problems.

I think he's gone and joined "Mumsnet", ...less handbags being thrown around & bickering on there. As Nic & Will said above no need for people to get personal. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions. He says; whilst being personal... Really, you think that was "personal"? aimed at anyone in particular? Nope. If that's what you believe though then so be it. Oh I didn't realise you had to specifically mention someone by name to be personal. Fair enough, good to know. Also, completely unrelated, but there's someone in this thread who's being rather tetchy today, I think someone must have urinated in their cornflakes or something this morning. But obviously I'm not being personal as I didn't mention anyone by name.

I suppose you are from Essex

At least you've seen the error of your ways they were designed for the really cheap and horrible harnesses like these: They would rub on your neck, so people bought gash harness pads instead of proper harnesses. Then people thought hey, I can make my oem seat belt say ripspeed or sparco and look like I'm a pro racecar driver.
-
If you need those to stop your seat belt from rubbing, you should probably just sit on a cushion instead. Can't stand those things, they're literally one of the worst car accessories ever. They look stupid on 4 point harnesses which they were designed for, they look like the remnants of a back alley abortion on a normal 3 point belt.

My offer was genuinely meant in the best possible way. Hopefully the OP sees it that way
-
I hereby offer £10 to the OP towards a decent re-retrim by a recognised trader on here. Not as a pity gesture, as a f*ck you to the person who made a mess of his wheel. The condition of this offer is that whatever is pulled from the wheel is posted back to the original trimmer with the above phrase, asterisk removed, written in the box/packet.

McLaren 650S Spider crash within minutes of ownership
AliveBoy replied to valy's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I live round the corner from the McLaren factory, in the last 5 years or so, at least two brand new McLaren vehicles have been crashed by engineers on the cars "road test" before (not) being handed over to the new owner. In respect to supercar training, I know that with the SLR, you put your deposit down and whilst that cleared they took you on the track at Mercedes Benz-World in something like a C63 to make sure you could drive. If your driving wasn't to a suitable standard, they gave you some free track sessions in various AMG's with professional tuition. It happened after a footballer crashed into some children in an SLR and the judge in the following investigation ripped into McLaren/Merc for just handing the cars to anyone who could afford one. -
What are al-loy wheels?! Edit: and what Ekona said, they have to give you a three month warranty.
-
Project MU made pads for the handbrake - worth trying (researching) those first I imagine. http://www.zspeedper...oes-PIS200B.htm https://conceptzperf...z33_p_12589.php Having researched it previously, it will make basically no difference as the cable will stretch within one or two pulls. Also, a hydro is nearly half the price and doesn't stretch or wear out.
-
It won't work, the handbrake is so bad it won't lock them up at speed. It's hydro or nothing I'm afraid!
-
I had to fit the extenders before I put the strut through the bottom side.
-
and a picture of under the flexible plastic which springs back in to place please...

The fronts need bigger tyres (already found the size!) They look ok in person, just not amazing, I'll get something else eventually though. I'm thinking of importing some corvette staggered wheels with 18's front 19's rear, it's just money as always
-
So, this has been a tale of back and forth and lots of repeating myself. Basically lots of cursing the previous owner and fixing mistakes. I've lowered the truck 3" all round and added BMW wheels which I stole from the Camaro. The rear end is currently having custom rear shocks and springs made as I couldn't buy the ones I wanted! I've had a custom prop shaft made as well and had a custom clutch line fabricated. Neither of which have been easy, but both have been very reasonable cost wise! Unfortunately I've got to re wire the truck from scratch which is the main hold up, what was there before was complete junk. Someone had used small nails instead of fuses, had added circuits in all the wrong places and it was literally a fire hazard. I've taken this opportunity to add digital gauges into the dash as the old ones weren't great and the speedo was erratic to say the least (say this like an auctioneer and you'll get it 40.40.40.45.45.50.50.50.40.40.40) This has now been smoothed in with the rivet holes filled but I don't have a picture . All of the wires below were redundant, either not connected to anything at one end, or some of them were empty at both ends! The truck currently stands as below: It's still moving, just not a lot has changed in the pictures! I'll have a bigger and better update soon! Maybe. I hope. Please

I like it, it's arms are up saying "yaaaaaay I'm a 350z" right?

So we just give him a call and tell him AliveBoy sent us?? Haha 'He's' a company. It's his business, no need for a reference. Just ring him up and tell him to do his job Yeah, he's literally just a company I've used. He brings in hot rod stuff all the time from the states. Email or phone him

Why would that be dubious legality? You're not required by law to have carpet, or a spare tyre...
