  1. Hi. On my second Z now. And Reading alot on here to get the tricks for the small jobs they all need. thought I say Hello and put up my new 04 Z
  2. Thanks to zmanalex for the right part in a hurry. He is hereby higly recomended! And vq-tick solved. But what a shitty job for such a small thing.
  3. Hi, Had the good old VQ tick and i though I would have a look at it. I had a bucket tap "lifter" "mechanical cam follower" lots of names, in the exact place of the tick wich was 0,3mm over tollerence. So need a new 810R (or 810U) bucket tap "lifter" Anyone got any laying around without scoring and hollowed out dimple, i woul be gratefull.
  4. Well.. due to becomming I´ll, I have to stop building.. and everything is going to be put up for sale... shell allready sold, and will be build by a danish racecar builder for their demo drifter... pretty bummed, but thats life... thank you for all who followed the build, I can link inhere to the new build thread when the new owners gets it going... I´ll make a sales thread for all the parts from this car/build... If you could help me getting rid of the parts it would be much appreciated.. everything will be priced fair... thanks -David
  5. I sure will.... for a comparessent, HSD and the DW c2 coilover kits are also a true coilover on the rear, But haven´t heart any consern on the added stress and weight load in the turret from the springs with theire kits... but It does make sence.. removing the spring setup from the subframe to the turret adds alot of stress... I have made "consols" on both turrets to mount the cage to... that makes them impossible to collaps... also I removed the OEM strutbrace and closed up the top of the turrets to move stress from the turret to the chassis.... I´ll take a few pictures when we mount this... And I´ll track it pretty hard to see if thats enogh....
  6. Right... back at it.. Had some time this weekend to get some more things done... All Brake/clutch lines are done.. Here is the handbrake, BIA`s and line lock done. Also got my fuel rails back from Powerpipes.dk which have been busy. I´we got AN6 fittings in both ends of the rails now, witch will we feed by the pump in one end and go to the FPR in the other end... So got them fitted together with my deatschwerks 620cc injectors And got the Swirlpot and pump setup in the boot.... not sure if thats the spot, but I ´ll have to see when I draw lines for the fuel etc. Anf FINALLY this arriwed.... :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: The FIRST BC-SPORT true coilover kit for a 350z.... Testing this is gonna be fun.... Next.. running the AN lines...
  7. Ok guys.. Hit a snag with the ECU we planned on running, not beeing able to run the VTC... But have a few lifelines still... and fighting to get it all together.... And moving on... Haven´t had much time the past few days... but finished running the front brake lines, and got some pretty cool news from one of my sponsors... "Nippon-power"... and together with Bc sport coilovers, were making the first bc sport true coilover kit for the z33... It does need the rear turrets to be reinforced... ( and I know that driftworks/hsd does kinda the same setup) but this is a one off.. And also got a picture from another sponsor, "powerpipes" witch have prepared a fuel swirl pot and pump for the Z... They are also dooing the exhaust, boost pipes etc. so not so much work the last few days... but alot of headache.. and good news... rollercoaster But picture from my sponsor powerpipes http://www.facebook.com/pages/PowerPipesdk/465732043461584
  8. That does make sense.... Could you Pm me a price for a setup like that. And what about the VTC? do you have any setup for this
  9. thank you Dblock. And Hi Mark, thank you for the insight. I haven´t yet bought a VEMS, but wanted something that could be tuned here (in Denmark) and there is alot of people doing vems and MS... I have read up on that the stock ECU is hard to run on it´s ovn ? There is no electrical harness in the car, and all the abs, esp etc. parts have been removed... as we wanted to run a stand alone, but I didn´t imagine that the VTC would be such a problem.. Is the syvec a stand alone? or does it run of the stock ecu?
  10. All the information I find about this, basicly says that they run the stock ecu with a piggyback of sorts... I cant find any 100% pure stand alone ecu´s... I only see a "problem" with the VTC, the rest of the sensors, etc. is just like any other engine IMO... I have some very capable people helping me with this, but there is some ground work in getting it running... so any help is much appreciated with : - 2004 non revup VQ35DE wiring diagram - Stock ECU pinout diagram - information on the VTC in any form No one ever stumbelt acros anything on this?
  11. Hi, after searching high and low, I can´t find any straight answers... I plan on fitting a VEMS ecu to control my vq35de with vortech Supercharger, BUT, how do I control the VTC.... It´s a 2004 non rev up... so it´s "only" the intake cam that has vtc right?.. but how does it work? and how can I control it? or is it impossible... I have a XS power utec piggyback lyin around, but the previous owner blew his engine with this setup, becourse of no one knows this box here in Denmark, and no one will touch it, the ones who have tryid says there not able to tune it... ( btw. the cars WHOLE electrical system has been removed and I´m doing a new harness etc. and It´s a pain to get the stock ecu working with "just" the engine harness and the utec, so I´m kinda between a rock and a hard place... ) Could I get A VEMS to control the VTC? (or any other stand alone) has it been done? do I need the VTC?, could I lock it, or is that just stupid... And what is youre take on the UTEC?
  12. Done Thank you very much And I´m done for tonight... pretty high on fumes And with one engine bay in piano black.... shitty pic.... but I didn´t realise it was so fogged up in the garage before I took off my mask I promise I´ll try to remember my real camera, so that you can have some decent pictures to look at.... And when the paint dryes I´ll fit the rest of the brake system and lines.... Thanks for watching.
  13. thanks... Ohhhh and could I get an admin to change the title from superchraged to supercharged...
  14. thanks, I don´t know if the brake bias valve will be enough for splitting up the front and rear so It dosen´t lock up on the rears in the turns.... but I´ll have to see... I did the same with a few other ABS cars witch had the ABS removed... And got the engine bay prepped today for paint, I sanded everything down with a 500 grid, anglegrinded the few spots of rust all the way down, and zink sprayed them and let them dry... them I gave it another pass with the zinkspay... dryid, then shot some primer.... later tonight I might get some paint in there... or tomorrow... Pictures... Bfoe primer And after primer.... I think I´m going for black in here... I know my self enough to know that I´ll destroy it if I do a white engine bay And pretty ghetto paint i know , but driftcar, not showcar...
  15. And fitted... Bump stop cut down to 25mm, I´ll have to see if that´s enough... but seems like noticeable more lock.... But I think my steering rack is broken... it drips hydraulic fluid out on the left side when you turn the wheel... the rubber dust boot was filled with it... crap.! ohh well, another thing for the "to do list"
  16. Thank you all for the support!, It makes blogging about it so much more fun... tonight I´m fitting the tein tie rod kit, witch is IMO the best out of the box angle increasement kit for the 350z. Only cutting needed is the bumpstops that needs to be cut down ( or removed, but a bit scetchy and could lock up the wheels at full lock ) so I´ll keep them, but cut them down.... Fitting the "huge" spacer on the tie rod and locktite´n it when fitting.. thats pretty much it... And also getting the engine bay cleaned and ready for paint.... maybe even throw down some paint tonigh... I`ll post some more pictures when I´m done later... Here you can see the much longer threaded piece on the tein tie rod... And the spacer thats going on... I remenber the "tiny" spacers we fitted back in the day on s13 silvias etc.. and what a difference it made... so I have high expectations...
  17. Then I got to work removing the engine and everything else up front.... Freeing up alot of space by removing the ekstra firewall in the engine bay, and removing alot of wheight with removing A/C, and everything that i dont need... I stripped down the engine, getting it ready for cleaning and refitting of the new parts I´ll be fitting a throttle body with cable pull insteed of the E-gas system, as I want to keep it as simple as possible... Then I started refittng stuff, I fitted the handbrake, and all lines to the rear, got the line lock fitted, and thats pretty much where I´m at... I´m fitting the brake BIAS valve and the brake lines to the front when i get the engine bay painted... Ohh and my new tripple plate OSgikken just landed... hope the diff and gearbox can hold up to the punishment... But thats pretty much it for now... doing alot of small things to get everything cleaned up, this takes time... I´ll keep you posted
  18. The I got to work, drilling out a HELL of alot of spotwelds and then it looked pretty much like this And removed the sound deadening with dry ice... And got this... :-) result! Then I started on the cage... wanting to get the car aproved for all races, I went for a design that would surpass all regulations And did up all the brackets, for seats, handbrake, dash, brakelines, H harness etc. Then The interior was painted... I always wanted a white interior on a track car... looks so clean... but not sure I can keep it that way ;-)
  19. This Is what she looked like when I got the interior out... :-S ALOT of work here....
  20. And I´m having a few problems uploading my pictures without making them really small... :-/ And nice job on the spelling on the title text :-) Just downloaded picasa, but still cant post anything larger than a thumbnail
