The only downside to living on the south coast, pretty much anything is a distance apart from Combe, Thurxton is near impossible to get on and they hardly have any days anyway, but so pleased i have done it both by car and bike, Goodwood is great but timed sessions only so everything else decent is 3.5 hours minimum, maybe with the exception of Brands buy have zero interest in the Indy circuit.

Vx220 is a good shout if you want Elise handling on a budget, better engine options too really Although out of your list, S2000

Well i did say elsewhere he has the perfect face for radio
-
They're right on both accounts though Your not wrong, only a mother could love that

Always a factor for me, i can never express my mates faces when off to a track day, one in a brand new M3, the other in a brand new 911 Turbo and everyone was looking at my £6k 1992 Rx7 on the way there and when there, asking, what is, what hp has it got etc, with not a cursory glance at the latest and greatest.

The numbers i gleaned are online, so i am not sure you can say they are wrong or not correct or accurate, but as a base line, i would say they have to be fairly close. We already have smokers, so throwing weed into the equation wont affect anything as they are already smoking/using tobacco, they are probably already part of the smoking statistics regards revenue and nhs burden. I can appreciate the argument against class a's, but weed, not at all, people even take it medically legally, hell, if it was that bad they wouldnt be advocating the stuff.
-
So as per previous post and lets just say for arguments sake as we dont know any better, revenue from smoking is 12billion, cost the nhs 6billion, we are net 6 billion in profit from smokers, why not be another 6 billion or more in profit from weed? Or equivalently, how you would you generate 6billion if smoking was banned? I am not condoning drug use, i hate it, with a passion, but, its not a few quid as you put it, the revenue could be vast and "may" sort of the health system, would you or anybody not like to see that?
-
But you already have two substances which are highly addictive that are legal, how can you discriminate between them all?
-
Make use of those farms that are sitting redundant, it would be very very easy to set up weed factories, grown hydroponically, there is absolutely zero reason why weed should be illegal when smoking isnt, same goes for any other plant manufacturing facility to make drugs, they manage with tobacco. Class a's are a far more delicate subject, if you didnt know the obvious signs i would bet you wouldnt even notice if someone was on cocaine, unlike someone who is drunk. Of course you would notice a heroin addict on a high, but when was the last time you saw one of them, they dont wander the streets shaun of the dead style, they are smashed out their face in a squat. To be fair most of the alternative drugs are used behind closed doors, trips, e's etc, i dont know the last time someone took an E and they would be secluded to music festivals/raves anyway and if you havent been to Glastonbury of late, it seems little point trying to pretend it doesnt happen. The question has always been, would it encourage more people do it if it was legal, well sadly my life has been flooded with drugs (friends), i never wanted to do it even though any given night it was as available as a pint of beer, so imho, no it wouldnt.

Media circus imho, they only ever turn into a slanging match and just shows all the party leaders up.
-
12 billion is not a free ride dude!!!! Looking at some figures they assume smokers cost the nhs 6 billion, well they have 6 billion extra to play with, you should be thanking us, not condemning us I agree however, make them legal and tax the whole shooting match, why should some coke head go out and enjoy their habit free of duty and vat and when i get a "free" ride, at minimum at least those drugs would be controlled, i.e not full of sh*t when cut up to make some scum drug dealer more money.
-
Yes they have a delay, but you cant compare the way a normally aspirated engine delivers it power to that of a turbo in an s13 or gts t,
-
12 Billion into the pot from smokers and you dont think they pay enough, 88% of a packet of cigs goes in duty, however, i agree in principal, if you dont want people smoking, make a packet of fags £100. The problem is they need that revenue, imagine the NHS without that 12 billion, people think its bad now and in reality, a smoker dying at a young age (lets say sub 50) probably balances out to an average health person using the NHS up to 80. I appreciate the views of smoking from non smokers, but i would prefer to be in the company of a smoker than someone pi**ed up wanting a fight, possibly driving, ending up in a&e from falling over/fighting etc etc, i hate the blame solely laid at the feet of smokers for being antisocial, drinking is far more anti social and "can" be equally as damaging on ones health. I hate to think what the clean non smokers think they are breathing in when they walk down a busy road or drive about with their windows open...let alone the planes flying overhead, taking off or landing chucking that sh*t out into our skies but they go completely un taxed on their fuel, inc vat. Any successive government need to get far more imaginative than, up the duty on fuel, cigs, alcohol, increase tax imho.
-
^^^ Because they have zero idea how to pay for it (that goes for any party) apart from raise taxes, more duty on fuel, fags or drink etc and hence a reason why I cant be bothered to watch the debates, you wouldnt actually get a true answer, just some diverted spin towards the opposition. As you say, just a stab in the dark at getting votes from nhs workers.

Most sensible advice with regards to an uprev imho I think the most noticeable change is the removal of the throttle restriction, i would bet if the throttle restriction was left on no one would notice the remap itself.

I think he has been building that 4 rotor since i had 7's, salt of the earth is Tim
-
When putting up this thread i was thinking, is being stopped on the decline, i guess with almost 45% of the vote at 10+ years, maybe it is, or is it just an age thing. Would people be annoyed to stopped for random checks?
-
The problem with rotaries is there arent really any warning signs, I literally sold a car during a test drive and whilst waiting at the cash point for the guy to get a deposit, it threw a water seal (like headgasket), 5 mins earlier it drove fine. A compression check only tells you half a story and is a good guide to general condition but not a fail safe. Almost throw away money though and probably worth near that in parts.
-
Well he has done it before when his party gave a vote of no confidence, so why not again?
-
Just read Corbyn has said the snp are a poor imitation of the real thing, I am not sure whats funnier, jc thinking they are the real deal or the snp arent even as good as them, priceless.
-
Even if LePen gets in, France as a nation still have to vote to leave, so who knows and absolutely i would still vote to leave.
-
I think you are being very generous to the average voter (myself included), i dont believe they/we look that far ahead, rightly or wrongly and as before, its impossible to predict any deal any country could generate and i would imagine it will vary greatly between countries and what they do or dont bring to the table.
-
Think StevoD has an Ings for sale.
-
It already is and should speak volumes about why those votes are being cast that way, i said earlier in here that i am sure the only reasons the Tories got their majority at the last election was because they offered the referendum, who knows how many more votes Ukip "may" have got if they hadnt offered that.
-
^^ Isnt it just the usual buying power thing, camskill, tyreleader, oponeo etc are buying in such bulk they get better discount structure so can offer them cheaper? A mate of mine runs a 2 van mobile fitting outfit, a couple of times I have checked a price with him from the web and he cant even get close. I guess the average motorist isnt interest and just rocks up to have, 4 of whatever is on there guv, so sure these outfits will be around for a while.
