The problem is, we are back to the popularity thing, if whoever decides to tax fatty foods, bang goes a sh*t load of votes from fatties! Unless all parties decide to do it, which personally i think with issues like this, they should for the national interest. I cant see the constant rise in, tax (of whatever form), duty on fuel, fags and alcohol is addressing the problems!

Interesting, just found an article, appreciate its purely circumspect, but figures of 16billion a year as a direct cause of obesity, thats more than us smokers and as before put 12billion into the pot. http://www.telegraph...than-on-the-po/ Regarding not helping unless you help yourself, i agree, but it leaves so much to interpretation, would a fatty be classed as helping themselves if they lost a stone, effectively it would make no difference to someone of 30 stone, but they have "tried".
-
Yeah i am with you on that, but its very easy to claim you are mentally unwell, same goes for the whole soft tissue whiplash bull. Absolutely a burger a week doesnt hurt you, but you aint going to be a fatty from a burger a week, so yes i guess we would all get "punished" but would you really notice 10% for example on takeaways, just looking at some figures, 2015 they reckoned £8billion on takeaways (why is everything 8billion, lol) and yes i know its a drop in the ocean, but all these drops in the ocean might make a difference, if people started getting healthier, wouldnt nhs costs come down over time?
-
I didnt think cosmetic surgery was available on the nhs unless you had a medical condition or trauma from accident, i.e you can get a boobie job just because you want them? Unused prescriptions is a big problem, but have no idea how they could be regulated, perhaps like you say, education and use of services. No different to a&e and how people use it. So what about someone with obesity getting a gastric band, should they be done on the nhs? I know you make reference to smokers and you say we get a free ride, why is there no duty on fat foods, lets just say takeaways for example as a generic thing, pizza, kfc, macdonalds etc etc

Does anyone have an unwanted jdm disc lying around, doesnt have to be usable. Thanks

And the misery caused to 1000's of commuters reliant on the trains to get their job, or even worse, open the doors (excuse the pun) of their business? If the upper echelon have decided one man can push the button, thats their decision, jobs cant be kept just to keep someone employed (like the mines), if their business suffers because of safety etc again thats their business, thats for bosses to decide not the staff. i often wonder how many of these union employees would react if the shoe was on the other foot, i.e if they were running a business, i cant see for one minute they would keep people employed unnecessarily. i fully appreciate workers rights in the working environment, but no one has the right to a job.
-
I did that (put my life on the line), but you quite clearly don't know what the connotations are regards the train dispute. My two sisters, daughter, son in law and niece are nurses, I don't see what your point is. I was paid considerably more by the Army than they get, go figure. As I am sure you know a squaddi gets circa 20k, that is less than 25k that codel mentions. Conotations are job losses, nothing more, nothing less, lets not hide behind "safety" spin.
-
And people who defend, possibly give their life for their country get less than a nurse, go figure. When a union is striking over who closes a train door, I am afraid thats a step to far.
-
To further the question, if you had a choice to go to any track worldwide, which one would you try. Laguna Seca for me.

^^^ This, same as political correctness imho, great in principal, but abused.
-
I appreciate there are other voters, but i certainly seem to remember both with Ed and JC (TWICE) were heavily backed by the unions giving them the majority.
-
I think she just heard about having herself face down in Dans pillow Not a snipe, but its not Labour voting them in is it, its the idealistic unions stuck in the past, the party clearly wanted someone else at the helm and its pretty apparent, so do the Labour voters.

Youve just ruined my day

You would probably get even more Abbots if the wages were upped, it would be far more an attractive "career choice" I dont know what mp's get paid, but christ on a bike, i doubt she could even be a till girl
-
She was on BBC Breakfast earlier. I damn as hell nearly punched the TV screen through the wall. There is not a more useless person in politics today. How anyone could even think of voting for the racist muppet is beyond me. Still think mp's arent paid enough

Seems to be a spate of 370z Nismos bought on here recently and for proper money so i guess not to all, alhough I kind of agree, seems they are happy to slap the name on anything, diluting the exclusivity.

Part 1 is true, helps keep down carbon deposits on the tips etc, part 2 is sort of true, they dont like being started and stopped or short start stop journeys, this was imho part of the problem when they were sold, the salesmen didnt really advise people of the rotary nuances.
-
Bit on the low side if you ask me, but they are even which is good, do you know what they are across the 3 chambers each rotor?

Been discussed a lot, i am in the building industry and understand building noise can be intrusive, its like someone moving in next to a building site and complaining about construction noise, however, at least it seems the councils are sensible and have rules about the noise, i.e between 8-6 Mon-Fri, 8-12 (or 1 cant remember) Saturday, pretty realistic when in essence people will be at work.

Most of the Gp circuits are sadly and Goodwood is the same, i suppose just for its heritage or Festival of Speed/Revival spin off. I would much rather Brands Gp at circa £350+ than Goodwood.

I dont know a huge amount about Civics, but 800 kgs, thats seriously light, what are they supposed to be std?
-
Libdem with more votes than labour on here (only just), seems pretty telling. Might swing a vote snp's way, they are looking a bit left out!
-
Shame convertible is a criteria, sort of, 10k would buy you a top notch Rx7 and if you havent owneda rotary, you should, dont think we will ever see another again which is a crying shame.
-
Whilst I enjoyed going there, I found the same with Bedford, not a bad circuit but just so flat and open it just seemed a bit void of character and anything of reference, no corner or series of corners particularly stood out. I would recommend trying to do Thruxton for anyone that hasnt, just to tick a box before it possibly disappears to the average Joe.

There was a bit of a uprising regarding taxation in the community, in cubic capacity as per piston engines they are 1300cc, even says in the handbook 2 x 635cc (or similar), my first one was registered as a 2.6 but managed to get it reclassified as a 1.3, with a refund, but i seem to remember dvla getting wise to it. Pretty sure all Rx8's are registered as 2.6.
