  1. If its just a stand in i would echo what unleash says, go with the 135i, nothing wrong with the 235i etc but think you would loose more on that and absolutely agree with Ekona, either of those over a Golf anyday.
  2. Difficult to call to make, i agree the corner looked pretty benign but anything could have unsettled the bike as he went to pitch it in and it just wouldnt turn and judging by his cam he didnt look into the corner and was looking straight on, you tend to follow where your eyes are looking. A mate of mine had a very similar crash, he was out on the left and hit some gravel and the front just started to wash as he leaned in, his natural reaction was to just get it upright which sent him straight on. Very lucky fella though, as Ekona says, by the grace of god!
  3. I am sorry to say i have dealt with an awful lot of loss of life in my shortish time around, all ages, family and friends, i can only say one day the tears will be replaced with smiles and laughter with the memory of a great friend which i am sure is how Andrew would want it Just to add, whilst it may be a massive struggle to face work, its great to fill your head with other stuff so make the effort to go, even though it wont seem like it, you will be distracted by it.

    Monaro??

I would be surprised if anyone bought a Monaro for its handling, its a muscle car imho, its not designed to tear up the twisty stuff I cant actually think of a V8 i would like to own at that budget, sorry op.
  5. ^^^^ You've only been trying to punt them on for a year or more, why not just put up a for sale ad, would seem a whole lot easier than spamming threads on the off chance?
  6. Ok, so money is the issue (i stand corrected), although perhaps like Ekona, its going to need a lot more than just money i think. Personally i think this goes above party politics, lets face it, non of them have got it right during their time in government, they all need to sit down and agree on a plan imho.
  7. Again please excuse any ignorance, but if the theatres are at capacity which is my understanding, what good would more staff do?
  8. So i am sure we have all heard of the recent problems with non emergency operations and maybe i am a naive, but how is any extra funding going to help, we havent got the staff, beds, operating theatres or time, we cant make the days longer, so how does the extra funding called for help?
  9. Sorry, i didnt mean 15k for the kit, but buying, fitting and spraying if you buy from a trader and as above, if you go wide arch you will need some proper width wheels with low offset which aint going to be cheap.
  10. The problem with pu is, if it doesnt fit well, its not as easy to "rectify" as grp.
  11. Probably wont find many importing that as they wont sell in numbers, try speaking to Tarmacsportz (a trader on here) as he will do one off orders for you if he can. It wont be cheap and nor will fitting (suspect quality), i would say you need £15k budget and that wont include wheels to fill the arches. Glwts
  12. I even have one for sale, or shortly will have, the boys at the zed shed have seen it
  13. Nissan Elgrand Mine is an absolute pleasure to drive, silky smooth vq engine, comfy, auto, power everything and well under budget
  14. How about a 1M, bullet proof depreciation and only 450 in the UK and a cracking car. Just out of interest, have you test driven a GTR yet?
  15. When you are spending that kind of money you have ever right dude, just chucking some suggestions into the hat
  16. I think this very thread is the example that you can get a hell of a lot more elsewhere imho, i dont think there is a single car mentioned i wouldnt have over a 370z, mind you i would have preferred to have my supercharged 350 at a 1/4 of the price of a 370
  17. ^^^ If you had 40k to spend would you honestly buy a 370z?
  18. So why not just get a VX220 like i had with a Harrop or stage 4 Turbo, it will be quicker than the Lotus and fraction of the cost and you will probably make money, you will certainly loose on the Lotus. The 4c (apart from the lights which can be changed) is achingly beautiful, the interior has more room, less spartan and far nicer than an Elise. They are two completely different cars and just for the record i would have neither, just offering some suggestions
  19. Another curve ball, how about an Alfa 4C, after doing a bit of reading over Xmas the handling can be transformed with an Alfawerks kit and with a map you are looking at 280hp.
  20. Its a pity the R35 didnt look more like this imho That back end, ohhhhh
