Is it definitely the o2 sensors, what is the code? Surprised Jez didnt turn them off to be honest.
  2. If there is no engine management light and subsequent code to read, most of us would be taking a punt as to what it is, however, after installing a new clutch i had problems with a crank shaft position sensor that worked fine with the old clutch but not with the new, that would be my first port of call being you swapped the clutch, but i cannot 100% say thats the problem.

^^ Ultimately thats all you want, a better drive as Codel says, bhp is just bragging rights After being in a supercharged 370z it wont upset the balance at all imho, the chassis can easily cope with the extra, would i drop another 10k into it, nope
  4. Genuine question, are you genuinely surprised a well established tuner who has worked extensively on these cars in the UK was right? Whilst you may feel insulating them has helped heat soak, its no different to insulating a house, its also going to keep any heat in and longer for it to cool. I know you dont want to listen, but just go back to stock intakes as suggested you keep in the first place, punt the intakes onto someone who doesnt care and prefers intake noise/looks over iat's etc If you really want to check if your insulation has helped iat's: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en_GB and you will need a bluetooth reader.

As below. This times a million, its seems all people are interested in is numbers, and not pointing the finger Payco but as discussed many times maybe Abbeys dyno will give different numbers, but its utterly irrelevant, i can almost guarantee it wont be any faster or better, why do people get so so hung up on what the dyno says!
  6. I seem to remember the consensus when you asked was pay little attention to the "claims" and stock intakes where best and dismiss dyno readings as they often differ, i wont say we told you so, but........... Perhaps just to throw a theory out there re American cars, i would imagine in popular places, California etc the ambient air temp is considerably higher than the UK, which presumably will lead to increased under bonnet temps compared to here, so maybe dropping a filter directly into the air flow does result in gains for the Americans as its considerably lower than under bonnet temps, just a thought. I seem to remember the 350z was able to display air intake temps with torque pro app, so guess the 370z will do the same, so if you really want to check which is best and whether your insulating has made a difference you can find out.
  7. How much extra do you need to clear, 9.5 et15 on the front is pretty much the limit anyway, if you roll the fronts, you wont really be able to use your arch liners if i remember right and by the look of those Rays i reckon they are running spacers anyway.
  8. A mate has recently had vertigo, no fun at all, there are some decent exercises that have helped him if thats what it is diagnosed as, hope you feel better soon
  9. Always a consideration of mine when it comes to ev's and people that are adamant they are the future, i think its impossible to say with 100% conviction what the future will or wont be.
  10. Even if its sorn'd, you would still want it insured (what if it got nicked/act of god), so its insured you might as well use it. There is no need for them to be a bottomless pit if you buy right, make sure the clutch, brakes and tyres are good (or the price reflects that they need doing) and you should have a few years of trouble free motoring, unless something unforeseen happens.
  11. I agree with lightness over power, but it is an interesting balance pending on which circuit you are at
  12. Granted its close to the FT1, but imho the overall effect is quite different, that FT1 looked absolutely stunning, its a shame its veered too far away, but probably will look way better in the flesh, much like my thoughts on the NSX.
  13. Rx7 with just over 500 rwhp 350z Supercharged 420hp and most recently, 370hp Harrop supercharged VX220, doesnt sound much but at 900kgs and no tcs, it was a probably the quickest of the lot them.
  14. You didnt offend me what so ever and you do make habit of referencing cars & bikes, but so be it. I am very familiar and comfortable with high hp rwd cars, most of them without the joys of modern electronics (tcs) keeping them in check( i can list them, if you like), maybe thats where your "numerous friends" who have owned supercharged E92 M3's struggled, also looking at GTR's just for the record, but thanks for the concern, i feel confident i can make the right decision!
  15. Think Mark @ Abbey can get them!
  16. Yes we know what you have, you seem to mention it a lot, it doesnt make your opinion any more valid What it tells me is you have conjured up an assumption to justify your opinion, i bought my supercharged 350z with less than 400 miles since built as the owner had a heart attack, gmballistic on here built his and sold it very very soon after to buy a house, keyzer bought his supercharged 370z probably within 6 months of it being built, it tells you absolutely nothing apart from sometimes circumstances change, i have done it myself with a Rx7 build. A supercharged e92 is/was on a shortlist for my next car, i have done a fair bit of research and it would seem a fair few are well into long term ownership, i will never say the e92 is a "better" car as whats better for some, may not be better for others, but dealing in facts and not speculation, excluding looks as thats a matter of choice. A supercharged e92 will be faster, handle better, be built better and to a higher spec
  17. Jap man here to, well why else would i be here, haha, i have always like the jdm alternatives as they offer near similar performance for less dollar, but that is kind of my point, when they dont, pays to keep an open mind to the alternatives.
  18. Totally agree, hence the "gash liberty walk kit" comment, buy an example without and that is a hell of a car for not far off that 370. I know this a Nissan forum and you are a just a tiny insy little bit Nismo fanboi, but cant think any petrolhead could ignore the credentials of a supercharged V8 with 600bhp for not much more money, just as a comparison it doesnt make the 370 such a bargain, imho.
  19. Seems a weird one to do that to a Nismo version, not that i have any real fondness for it, but just because of its increased base price. If i had similar cash, forgetting the gash liberty walk kit, a 370 wouldnt get a look in: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/e90-m3-07-13/liberty-walk-supercharged-m3--610hp--fbmwsh/7898483
  20. Sure, but a Civic costing £8k I know its your money and ticks the boxes, but there are so many way better cars for £8k out there, just couldnt hand over that sort of cash for a Civic, no matter how good. Good luck with the search.
  21. I am sure its had a lot of money spent on it etc etc and i really have no idea of Civic values but £8k for a Civic!!!!!
  22. So they might not actually still be there?
  23. So i am curious about things that are 1000's of light years away, do we know if they are still even there if we are viewing them from effectively so long ago?
