I had an invitation to pop over the Zed shed yesterday and duly accepted Not so sure it was an actual invitation, more to give Buster some of my hard earned, lol I was let off not taking donuts and got a Zed shed sticker so cant have been too unwelcome. Nice to meet all the guys and girls and even got a spin in Keyser's green monster, well i say spin, sit in a traffic jam Nice to meet you all and thanks for words of wisdom and general banter, its good to know its just up the road, think i may have even given Keyser an idea i had learned from high power rotaries
-
ive all already got the answer cheers fella and had plenty of messages about them so you answer its your own and not the masses Obviously not with the guy that "seemed insulted" with the price and hence why you asked the question. I didnt actually mention price anyway, just classifieds are littered with Rota Grid Drifts and dw might be a good avenue if your wanting to sell. Check out the spec on a lot of the D1 spec cars, a lot run 19's as do competitive drift cars over here
-
Dont ask the question if you dont like the answer! People do drift 19's and dw might enhance your target audience as its not just drifters who use it, but your not selling now so no problems anyway

Interesting topic after deciding i need some coilovers after my track day yesterday. I have always had them fitted to previous cars i have used on track, mainly Tein but have had some experience with others, not good i hasten to add, although they were none of the ones listed above. Personal view, i think the op would be hard pushed to notice or warrant the expense over BC, D2 etc unless he is a driving god, i will be looking myself for one of the above makes. Just noticed some D2's in the for sale section, i have to do some saving first
-
Imho the problem you have with Rotas (particularly grid drifts) are the classifieds are littered with them. The drift boys will not care what rubber they have on or condition as they will cane them anyway. You would probably be better keeping the tyres and trying to sell them on dw.

First track day in the Zed Thoughts: Certainly notice the extra weight from my Rx7, mainly on stopping and direction change but in general, very impressed with the way it handles and performed over all. Certainly wasnt the quickest thing out there but held its own against some much more expensive and focussed cars, notably a mate in an Aston Martin Vantage who just couldnt stay ahead. So what i now have to tell myself is the 350z is a road car, a heavy (ish) road car and without sacrificing comfort/enjoyment etc on the road i do think there is plenty of room for improvement to make it a pretty quick car on track, obvious they might be, but with the usual mods i think i could shave a fair bit of time off a lap. So a list in order of improvement: Brakes: Set of braided lines, fluid change, pads and disks. Tyres/Wheels: Set of track day rubber and light 18's. Suspension: Decent set of coilovers. And really that is all. My seats are cloth so do not weigh that much, but for comfort & safety on track i will most likely at some point get some bucket seats and harness's (to put in just for the track). Will also maybe add a flat front undertray/splitter, rear wing and half cage. I also think its worth mentioning the circuit (castle combe), i know a few guys from here have been round at Japfest. Although not the most interesting track its pretty technical, Quarry is a tricky corner to get right and the general lack of run off does mean you have to throw caution to the wind if you really want to be on it. In fairness it probably doesnt suit the Zed that well as although its a very quick circuit its all about carrying corner speed, with a couple of fidgety low speed chicanes it slows the Zed right back down and by the time you have perhaps had a chance to catch up the lightweights at the end of the straight on the entrance to quarry, they are gone again. Word of caution, if your booking CC, check their diary to see if they have a race meet on the day/weekend after the track day. They had some Mini & Atom championship on this weekend so all the teams had booked the track day to use as testing, although not out with these guys, they took up two groups so subsequently made the other two groups excessively large for "road cars", i counted 28 cars in one session, very naughty when they state maximum group size of 20. We went last year and we had a group to ourselves, 6 of us, lol, with 28 cars on track its gets a bit interesting!!

I bought a pair from ebay (german seller) and was not that impressed. I would actually be more inclined to use a piece of vinyl wrap and trim if i were to do again.

I am very pleased to say, i had Sky+ the race Marco died in and saw the news before i had a chance to watch (which would normally irritate me), it was instantly deleted without a glance. It often stuns me how they seemingly can get off at such ludicrous speeds and get up and walk away.

Missed wsb and wss, so sorry to see this, fortunately deaths are quite rare, especially when you consider how vulnerable they are
-
All good advise above Lee Harness and buckets probably a good solution first off. Booked at Combe on the 2nd August if you want to join us
-
I hope no one missed last nights race If you did, try and find it on line, i shall say nothing to give people a chance before discussion

+1 The Zed may loose in every aspect of performance but personally i think the GTR looks a dog in comparison Just the sheer size and bulk doesnt help its curb appeal

Please, please, please buddy, give this girl no more time or energy. You have said yourself you do not understand how she can be like this knowing how you feel, so hopefully that should give you the answer to how much she feels for you (sorry to be harsh). The more you keep in contact and delve into it the longer it will take for the pain to ease and it will present more questions to torment you which you will never know the answer too and it will take longer to move on. You will be very surprised how quickly that raw feeling goes if you have NO CONTACT, even if she tries to contacts you, ignore it. Drive down the road in your 350 and keep looking in the rear view mirror, you may be lucky and just miss whatever is in front of you, or you may crash and it will hurt. Look out the windscreen however and you will see everything I hope you get the analogy

It will not be restrictive on a na lump, only if your going forced induction. The silencers will work the same as any others, get it put on buddy, should cost you no more than £50 at most garages, i am in Poole and if you want a number of a garage let me know and will pass on my mates garage number to you. -
1kg may not be a lot to lift, but put gyroscopic effect into play and its a massive weight. Rotas are far from lightweight. Try Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2, OZ Superleggeras, Desmond Regamasters are among the lightest you can get. This may help: http://www.wheelweights.net/ All the wheels you have listed are only light in small sizes. At 18" etc most are heavier than oem rays and also lmgt4's Not strictly true, the wheels listed above are the same in 18" variety, probably lighter if you could find Regamasters in 18 (very rare). Just giving the op some options of very similar weight 18" wheels if he doesnt like Rays. Unless the op is a trackwhore then he's best just getting a set of wheels he thinks look nice and by a reputable manufacturer. He currently runs oem 18's and not rays so pretty much most wheels will be lighter. Oh and he wants 19's And the 19's listed will be as light as standard oem (if he can find them) so he would be on to a winner

I have two sub outs (single rca) from my new head unit, but only going to use a one amp, what would the verdict be, one for left and one for right, or just use one on the left channel?
