This has been discussed many times before and even if a source is provided its called into question. I have seen the 350z is only 4 seconds a lap slower than a M3 round the ring (fatsest laps), same driver of both cars, but still its debated. If you dont believe it, you are only going by opinion, how else can it be sensible discussed if stats provided arent believed?

No you didnt, but why make such a point about Alonsos attitude to Vettel, when Vettel is no better himself? Well they do have team orders whether its right or wrong (wrong in my book like you) and because he is a spoilt little brat and bad loser he choose to ignore them, you certainly would have heard a lot more whinging if Webber had done the same to him Look at the Hamilton/Rosberg same situation, Rosberg sucked it up and obeyed team orders

What and Vettel isnt, the multi 21 incident is testament to that, throwing all his toys out the pram and disobeying team orders cause he didnt want to come 2nd!!!!!!!

Interesting that most prefer the driving experience of a s2000 over a zed, especially regarding being spirited, i would bet there isnt a lot between a zed and s2000 on track.

Very much form over function, pretty much all wide body kits from the Japanese aero manufacturers for any model will be square boxy arches (dont ask me why, something to do with the way the air leaves the car). Personally i think they are utterly hideous, they somehow work on a track sl*g though, but they are far from pretty. There are some way out kits for Rx7's out there too I have never driven a s2000 but been in plenty and although after being very impressed, i am afraid after owning a convertible before, i am just way to self conscious to own another one, plus i think s2000's actually look better with a hard top

I know Vettel is a great driver but 30+ second win including a safety car when he was already miles ahead, i would also say the Red Bull is unstoppable this season, except Webbers car which always seems to have a problem

I have never looked or seen any documentation, but what would you think the emissions are over the lifetime of a hybrid, say prius, to a normal runaround, corsa etc etc? 10% or 20% less or more or maybe even level?? I am talking from manufacturing process to the the day it dies??

Whilst on the topic of oils, i have just had a reeming out from a friend who is very experienced in jap performance cars for using Castrol Edge. Any thoughts welcome.

And imho, nor will it ever be. Whilst ever there is oil in the ground i dont believe for one minute we will see a viable alternative, least of all electric. If there was a viable alternative the oil companies would be all over it and finding the next way to make billions, they seem to have little interest in electric as far as i am aware. I still cant really get my head around lower emissions via electric either, what about all the emissions caused by making the electric to charge the batteries, let alone the emissions generated to make the batteries.

So it was the best car for you, not necessarily the best car available, which is what i am saying, i care not a M3 or Cayman maybe be better, they are not for me and that doesnt just come down to the badge, looks, servicing, cost of repairs also weighs heavily on my mind when it comes to Ze german brands. However, i admire your selection criteria. I personally think buying a car is a lot like choosing a girlfriend, you want the best looking one you can find to suit your budget, performance/running costs etc are never going to be cheap but it looks good so you dont care....if you choose a girlfriend on the merits of performance/running costs/comfort etc we would all be going out with munters, you can be sure they would perform way better than most lookers and they wouldnt cost an arm and a leg and with be easy to get on with! Back to the op, everyone will have opinions, best summed up as others have put, find something you like the look of in your budget, make sure you get a decent test drive or two and make a decision on what you like best

So why did you own a 370z (and 350z i think), far better cars out there?

I cant see that anything with a wealth of batteries will be lightweight or as powerfull. And if they went 2.6 v6 it would be far from eco.

100% absolutely. If we all decided we wanted the best, we would all by the same car that excelled in whatever our priorities were, best for off road, best handling, best for comfort, best mpg etc etc A car is about far more than just its stats on paper, its a feeling that it evokes in us and if that feeling is, i am just blending in with a crowd of badge snobs who have bought that car purely for the keyring/badge up front or to say, i have a "x" i wouldnt want one for all the world. Maybe you think i am missing out and maybe i am, but it wont keep me up at night as i love my car and would not feel the same if i had a Cayman on the drive. An M3 was in my budget, a better package than a 350 or 370, but i was just not inspired to own one, no matter how good.

For anyone who has theirs a while could you let me know if the unit is getting a little loose and wobbly (key part). I bought a similar unit for a Mitsubishi i had and after a while the whole spring flip gave up and was just loose, the plastic had basically worn around the mechanism so was no way to repair. Hopefully these are sturdier!!

After buying some from ebay i would recommend going to vinyl graphics place and seeing if you can match the colour with a vinyl. The ebay ones are not the best imho

I am not sure i am that fussed at the moment as who gets what ride, unless the teams get on terms with Redbull it wont matter who is driving. Lets home it happens soon imho.
