  1. Without quoting to arouse "discussion" and single out comments. The colour may not be to everyones tastes but personally i like the fact they are different and think the colour will pretty much go with any colour Zed, as someone else mentioned in another thread somewhere, he was looking at spending £7k on wheels to be different At £200 to get the centres done to your personal taste and the fact its so easy to get done cause they are splits is no big deal. Jap performance as Stevo mentions is making a living providing quality 2nd hand rims like these, his pricing is probably a very good gauge as what you can expect to achieve. Sure you may need to buy tyres but you can pick up some very good part worn Michelin etc for not a lot. And to the Rota comments as an alternative, sure you can pick up a set of new Rotas with average rubber for less new, but, thats exactly the point, they will always be Rotas that adorn 1000's of cars because you can buy them new cheap and will be worth about £2.50 in a couple of years along with 1000's of others for sale, imho, you cannot compare prices with Rotas. These wheels will still be worth good money in a year or 2 or more, as Rotas flood the market, these get rarer, values might even go up £1500 and not a penny less imho.
  2. Some idea of what they look like on a Zed Had mine resprayed in House of Kolor Kandy Purple and lips polished
  3. If its not and your right on your 28 day thing, refuse the car and request your money back mate and go buy another
  4. I am hoping for your sake it isnt ready this weekend and you can get your money back, unless its been full rebuilt i am not sure i would want it back
  5. Same as mine (though higher offset), but not mine. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19-SPLITRIM-DEEP-DISH-VOLK-RAYS-ALLOYS-5X114-3-fit-SKYLINE-GTO-SUPRA-RX7-300ZX-/131017989231?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item1e8147dc6f
  6. Sorry to say its the nature of the beast when replicas are available. I had an original RMagic front bumper from my Rx7 i was trying to sell when i split mine down, there are probably 4 - 5 tops in the country, they are not made any more and replicas were never available, but when someone sees they can buy pretty much buy any other replica for the same if not similar money. People dont want to seem to pay a premium for original stuff. Seems to be the way of the car scene over the last 2 - 3 years
  7. I personally have no reason to hate Vettel, as discussed previously re not knowing him and i have never disregarded his obvious driving talent, but, that doesnt stop me thinking he is a c*ock from what i have seen of him. I dont care how good he is or isnt, it doesnt mean i have to like him. All this mentioning his wins and his up coming win is just no justification to the fact i think he is a c*ck and to add to that from a personal point of view (opinion only) until Vettel is in the seat of a inferior car the jury is out to just HOW good he is. Shall we have a poll Who thinks Vettel is a good driver Who thinks Vettel is a c*ck Two completely different subjects and in the most part, you will probably get a 9 votes out of 10 on both subjects.
  8. I presume you mean me Dave Funnily enough Jenson Button is the only F1 driver i have met, far away from the circus of F1. I used to be a skipper doing charters on luxury super yachts and Jenson was a customer one day. The guy was chilled, relaxed, very personable and had a good laugh with him, in no way at all did he seem arrogant, he was surprisingly chatty and actually showed an interest in a lowly skipper, him and his group made me feel very welcome and trust me, i have seen a lot worst from wealthy no bodies. We all have opinions on F1 drivers (rightly so) or any other motor sport protagonist but to preach about their personalities is just opinion and nothing more!
  9. I think one thing is for sure, there isnt one of us who "knows" Vettel, so anyone making presumptions about his real personality is quite laughable. We will only see what we, the press or he want us to see. For me i saw enough when he threw all his toys out the pram and disobeyed team orders, during and after the race! He "might" be the nicest the guy in the world but from that incident i thought he was a c*ck!
  10. Anyone for a Webber - Vettel first corner incident Cant see Webber backing out of it

    Nismo GTR

After NIssan privately hired the Ring for a whole day for one test Nismo GTR rumours are abound of a lap time approaching 7mins 10secs to 7mins 6secs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it achieves that its pretty spectacular.

  14. ...carried out by a well respected specialist. Re-Worx, Hayward Rotary, Rx Motors, Powergains, WGT, Dragon Performance. Plenty of info on fduk or mazdarotaryclub not all respected ;-) but agree 100% with the above Glad you are having a look around on here Andy And yes agree, but seeing as there seems to be bun fights surrounding any specialist mentioned on fduk/mrc, i thought i would just list the popular and well known ones

    DPE Wheels

So many awesome jdm wheels i have never seen on a Zed, you certainly dont need to spend £7k+ plus to be individual, a decent colour on some nice wheels will do that, so long as you avoid anything Rota has copied and you will achieve that unique touch in my opinion of course What about being really bold and getting some nice wheels copper plated Not seen anything like that on a Zed, nor anything else over here to be honest

    DPE Wheels

Personally i think you could get a lot nicer for a lot less from the usual jdm manufacturers.
  17. Uk cars apparently sell for a lot of money to Europe, but yet to actually see it happen, be cautious of rust too on uk cars. Good luck and buy with your head and not heart on this one, your plans could come crashing down around your ears with a small slip up on a Rx7.
  18. Unless its a uk car its not even worth that buddy, 60k is rebuild territory anyway, how many miles has it got overall if its already been rebuilt and done 60k???? . Rebuild @ £2000+ depending what you need, if you need rotors or housings expect that to jump to £3k+ Also another caution, if its been stood or not driven regularly, petrol has a habit of sitting on and deteriorating water seals, rebuild time again
  19. From much experience stick to an un molested twin turbo, if you buy anything else you will have MAHOOSIVE problems selling it and probably end up breaking it down for spares, singles are just not selling and knowing your frequent change history i am sure you wont want a car that doesnt sell quick. Make sure you also have documentation of recent rebuild and very recent (like within a week or two) compression readings and good history, also make sure this all ties up with the car you are buying. Also make sure these compression readings and rebuild have been carried out by a well respected specialist. Re-Worx, Hayward Rotary, Rx Motors, Powergains, WGT, Dragon Performance. Plenty of info on fduk or mazdarotaryclub
  20. I am with pretty much everyone else, whats the worse that can happen, you preferred the zed, sell the s2000 and buy another zed

    Speedo

Guys my JDM speedo (and computer readout) fluctuates at idle intermittently. I installed a new speed chip converter to get to mph but still suffering this problem. How are you other guys getting your mph reading, mine was a chip from sva parts, the only place i could find and also, has anyone else had this problem? Thanks
  23. Two weeks and two fires, what are the chances I know he got smacked in the side but Jeez, Seb got fully punted in the side last year and managed to do very well in the race without a hint of failure. I will bet he cannot wait for the season to end
  24. Can you do a before and after weight on individual parts Neil, perhaps a gross weight after, would be very interesting?
  25. I didnt weigh the decats or exhaust before i put them on although should have done as it would be interesting to see the saved difference. Going to target 1400kg or less, will return to weighbridge once i have some track wheels and audio out.
