^^^ She is currently doing the IOM TT on ITV and have to say she compliments the ex bike racers well and seems very interested and well versed. Regarding her past, i could count the celebrities in the spotlight on one hand that havent had some drug involvement and i by no means encourage drug use etc, i despise it to be honest, however i wasnt suggesting i want to take her home to meet my mum

Its a valid point, but i still want to glance back when i lock up and leave or see something good sitting there as i come back, sneak a look out the window or open the garage. Maybe right or wrongly, every aspect of a car should stimulate me, looks, sound and drive, its going to have to be a mind blowing good drive to compensate for the other two and whilst it may be good, its never going to be that good. In reality is that handling going to stand head and shoulders above the rest on the road, again i doubt it and ive yet to see one at a track day. the more i think about it, the less i get it to be honest, you can get an awful lot of car for £35k.

I did watch the last season and it thought it was vastly improved from CE, but imho, its still the old TG, banter, gags, staged scenes, basically the same format (which was why most moaned about the old TG), problem for me was, it just didnt work between the new three and echoing Stu, Rory is a complete and utter bell e... but MLB was pretty good and could never complain about seeing CH spanking exotica around so worth a watch. Please dont get GM in, leave him doing his awkward but very watchable stuff elsewhere and definitely not James Martin, also see Phillip Glenister is mentioned with the bookies, good lord if there is one way to put nail in the coffin it will be that dire, surly tw*t! Jodie Kidd please, got a thing for tall women

This seems to be a fairly common theme at the moment with BMW, maybe it was in the past but never looked that much, they kicked the ass out of M4's residuals.

I would imagine from what i am to understand of the A45 it is just so quick and has obscene grip up to the limit, but no (and i really do hate the word) "fun" past the limit, i.e it just doesnt play ball if you want to have a bit of oversteer action or make the car misbehave and this is where i hate the word fun or exciting, personally i think that sounds fun and exciting, others probably see it as dull but it is without doubt the best sounding 4 pot on the market imho, as said above its a shame the 718 doesnt sound better, but in reality the £60-£70k asking price for a GTS is what would put me off more!
-
Actually looking forward to it, regardless of being demonic in your eyes, they are supposed to be a proper quick weapon. Back to topic, sorry op

Cayman 718GTS PDK The only thing that wasnt on the menu was GT3 or GT3RS. I have suggested i shall expect some payment for having to drive a Porsche

Good luck mate and choose wisely, try and spend some decent time in any car you consider and try to choose something that you know will keep you smiling for a long, there is plenty out there that are plenty quick and fun enough not to worry about upgrades beyond a map or breathing mods. Maybe the A45 isnt any more "fun" (depending on ones definition which is not quantifiable anyway), but it will handle better and offer more feedback than the TT imho, plus its way way way better looking, again imho P.s Mr Ekona, you will be suitable upset with me, a friend has recently got his build slot for his GT3 and subsequently got a few Posrche experience days so has extended the invite to his brother and me, we could choose the car we drive, can you guess what i went for?
-
Absolutely , but apart from styling mods that was the biggest tick in the box when i bought my 350z, i really just wanted a reliable car that was a good drive. I had become so disillusioned after messing around with Rx7's and spending more time "improving" than driving, i particularly chose a car that in essence wasnt really worth f*cking around with in the performance stakes, apart from going fi, which i did in the end and just bought one done and to be fair that never let me down either. Most of the modern turbo engines respond well to a simple map and breathing mods and if you leave it there, they are just as reliable, its only when you push on to stage 3, 4 etc that you sacrifice that reliability imho, sure Doc's 135i hasnt let him down, i would suggest one of them but seems rwd is off the cards which is a shame Personally i would be saving a little harder and getting a A45 if i was in nowheres shoes, whilst you may enjoy the tts for a while i reckon you will tire of it very very quickly.
-
Well you can rule a few out because rwd, but if you bought right i see no reason why any of those would cost anymore than the Audi to service and maintain. same goes for your thought of an Evo X, as long as you dont tw*t around with it, should be plenty reliable.

I presume he means Ring laptime.

I am with Nissanman and Ekona, driven both variants of rs4 and a R8 V8 and found exactly the same, very quick but felt wooden and numb and not in the least exciting, almost like you were totally alienated from the experience, get a good drive in one first. If that was my budget and marketplace i would be all over one of these, my sister had one and was awesome fun: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/mercedes-benz/amg/2005-05-mercedes-benz-slk-55-amg-5-4-slk55-amg-2dr-356-bhp/8715259 or if you can up your budget a bit https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/mercedes-benz/amg/2013-13-mercedes-benz-a-class-2-0-a45-amg-4matic-5d-auto-360-bhp/8666840 which also takes you into: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/mercedes-benz/amg/mercedes-benz-c-class-6-3-c63-amg-7g-tronic-4dr/8515057 Or back to TTS budget https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/e90-m3-07-13/bmw-m3-4-0-v8-2dr/8624729

So with skipping through as it seemed a bit futile, the dude is basically comparing the two, so whats being said, a marketing error by Honda for calling it Nsx? If it carried a different name i still think people would compare so in my mind, its irrelevant. By all accounts the new one is a dam good car, just too pricey, the old one wasnt that good, snap oversteer on the earlier models, not that quick and sales were poor, probably down to price again (they knocked 10k of list back in the day) and badge snobbery, seems there is a lot of jdm fanboi rose coloured glasses to the original as its now collectable (plus i admit its achingly pretty), unless of course after driving one you feel differently? I wouldnt give you £40-50k for an old one and wouldnt give you £150k for a new one, just trying to be subjective on two different cars If anyone knows Hondas projected sales targets feel free to add them as thats the only real way to factually say its been a flop or not.
-
^^^ absolutely and again very price dependant
-
I would say it all depends on your driving op, its a daily or strictly weekend toy, if its a weekend toy are you just taking it out for spirited blasts on a and b roads or days out to a destination, weekends away etc, any serious track time planned. Agreeing and disagreeing with Ekona and using his example, its a 370z, not an Elise, i really dont think the driving experience is going to be that enhanced by having a manual, for me it would be quite the opposite. You are on the right track though with the advise above, only you can tell from driving which will or wont suit.
-
^^^ Maybe thats the problem with both, 55-60k in 1991 was not affordable and i would say badge snobbery came into it back then to. Ekona puts it well, but i cant think how Honda could have released it with the sort of tech it has and it be any cheaper, i guess it had to be GTR like, bargain price and a giant slayer.
-
Customers cars waiting to go out, a cancelled order or two, you tell me, have you asked? If you want a Nsx, the order book is full, thats not a flop in my books, regardless of your opinion of the car. Who would buy it, no idea, i wouldnt, i would much prefer any of the cars you mention (apart from an r8), even though the 720's and huracan are in a different price bracket entirely, but if you want a hybrid..... I think i get the picture, some rose tinted specs to the original, i think its fair to say the original was equally as poorly received if thats your take, more so if anything, it was nothing special to drive (yes i have had the "pleasure" for a couple of months while trying to sell for a friend who moved overseas), i think it went for £17k in the end, no one wanted them, just because they are strong money now, doesnt make them any better.
-
I didnt say it wasnt
-
No idea, i dont live in America, but according to this, not so. https://www.motor1.com/news/177863/honda-nsx-uk-allocation-increased/ or maybe https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/acuras-nsx-hybrid-supercar-struggling-amidst-slow-early-sales/
-
Sold out, selling at a premium and a full order book, how is that a flop?
-
Sure the base model is poor, but i would imagine a lot of older customers are basing their purchase on many factors, price, warranty, service, economy, reliability, looks probably comes at the bottom of the list, only assuming by the way M4 are £56k list so not in the same ball park.
-
I think Chris Harris was pretty on point when he said the car was clearly designed to appeal to a younger audience, but what younger audience can afford a £35k car or get insured is a different discussion entirely!

Much like a fat girl, may be a great ride, but you wouldnt want to be seen in one
