Unky K's shed of plenty

Whatever the case, you should have a cracking day out op, i wouldnt mind the rain either, a fwd scrabble wagon putting too much power through the front wheels on semi slicks aint going to be a lot of fun, think you would have the edge there too imho. Had to be an Audi driver
-
Its not just Hangar though, Luffield to Copse (old start finish straight), Wellington, Club to Village all fast and flowing,
-
With the loooooong straights of Silverstone, a 350 should be faster imho. Agree with Jack, arb's will make a night and day difference and take the spacers off for the track, they will make zero difference except to add unsprung weight!

I also have a pressing question....without a Zed in sight apart from perhaps a rotting corpse of one, is it any longer The Zed Shed Two? Or are you upgrading to Shed GTR. GTR Shed or Pops Shed?
-
You may want to avoid the Nismo if you are looking for a more comfortable ride, most reviews and most owners on here have suggested its pretty firm ride. No bad thing though, buy a 370z auto and throw the remaining £15k for the cost of a Nismo and make it awesome

Looks like i am 3rd in line Good choice, i can see a for sale advert being drawn up as we speak

300's looking good

He is also quite critical of the GT86, interior, price, lack of power.....everything he compliments on the 370z, if viewed subjectively and not owning or wanting any of them, its actually quite a constructive review and comparison between the pros and cons of each car, except the Cayman, but he does highlight how much it "may" cost to run. The only problem on here with the review is, he prefers the GT86 to the 370z

Ive had two Royal wheels now, couldnt recommend him enough

I wouldnt mind a 4 pot turbo in line with something like the A45 AMG, would i pay £50k+ for a Z though, not a chance and i doubt there are many on here that would. No offence of course, i am staggered anyone paid for £38k for a 370z Nismo to be honest. Mentioning Nismo i think you have two hopes of there being a "hot" Nismo Z car and if by some miracle they do a 500hp awd with dual clutch Z etc (which is just to close to comfort to the GTR platform) surely is got to be inline with the current one so £75k+, its just not a Z at that point imho
-
He doesnt and would also recommend getting two hands on the steering wheel op
-
The Spider headlights are available and i cant recall anyone slating the gearbox, of course its no pdk, but not "sh*t", in fact your Porsche fanboi CH says its "dam good"
-
Surely you could say the same about a Lamborghini, its just an Audi in a dress, but i know which one i would rather have! I am curious to see the pricing of both, are they destined to be the same?

Personally i think the Supra is a completely different kettle of fish, the UK list price was £40k plus in 1993, i dont think its ever been designed to compete with Z cars or vice versa, as said above the Zed has always bargain basement (in a positive way). Maybe the new Supra though will give Nissan some enthusiasm to compete but i think your right they will have to collaborate with someone and until the new GTR comes around i just cant see them devoting time to a low number market place. I find it a bit odd after the 90's and early 2000's when there was some great Japanese sports cars, nothing good has come out of there for years (apart from the GTR and thats not an affordable sports car), the Z is the sole survivor and massively dated, quite sad really as i really would love to be having the choice for my next car like we did in the 90's.

I admire your enthusiasm i really do and i know this is the very place to wear the rose coloured specs, ive done it myself, but, the performance is lacking for a 2018 car as GT says below you wouldnt see a Civic Type R which is a similar price for dust but, doesnt mean its a bad car and if you got yours out on track and pushed the limits like the video maybe you too would think the handling is a bit sub standard, again doesnt mean its a bad car and you also have to remember again as GT says, its in comparison, what are you comparing its performance and handling too, what else did you test drive? I said on another thread if people only bought on reviews none of us would have bought Z's, i thought my two were great but acknowledge they have flaws, but that was part of the appeal, i dont think any review has said they arent good, just in comparison to "others", not as good, nothing wrong with that. Interesting comment re the improvements, read any review on the Alfa 4C and it was well and truly slated over here, even CH who loved it when he drove in Italy, hated it when it got on British roads, but with a bit of further reading, a few suspension tweaks and alignment settings, its transformed.

So what dont you agree with i am curious?
-
So out of interest, what does laid up cover insure against, are the policies yearly or 6 monthly?
-
^^^ This, well certainly not in the near future, they probably need to recuperate the investment for the poor sales of the 370z and if we do i cannot imagine you will be looking at a big capacity lump with loads of power, too close to the gtr and it would completely buck the trend of other manufacturers going smaller capacity and turbo. The only thing close is the new Supra and with the BMW tie in, they have removed a load of development costs. I am not saying it wouldnt be nice to see of course, but would anyone pay close to double what the 350&370 cost in line with the new Supra, that was the highlight for the Z cars, bang for buck imho.

Could an admin please change Keyser to Uncle Albert

Sorry i was painting a picture that i like LH or he is the model F1 driver, far from it and ive said that elsewhere, although i agree with ilogikal, he is not ranked in the upper echelon of total tools like SV and really has driven a fantastic season to beat Ferrari/SV plus if you cant enjoy a bit of historic ingrained in a Brits dna, beating ze germans, its a sad day imho. Points however should be taken off Lewis for the god awful "message" from Will Smith to be pc
-
I cant see any reason why they would, less risk and money for old rope if its sat on a drive or in a garage, unless as i mention above an unfortunate event.
-
Why not just supercharge the vq, its readily available (as per sim's kit above), cheaper, more hp and the rest of the bits are just bolt ons
-
I know it perhaps seems counter productive not insuring a car that your not using on the road, but what if it gets stolen, what if it gets damaged and written off (somehow), what if it catches fire, i understand if its a shed, but not something thats £4k or so, keep it insured, for the added no claims you will get it probably offsets and monies back.

I never minded Vettel, until he started loosing and turned into a petulant child and showed his true colours chucking all his toys out the pram, disobeying team orders, constant whinging over the radio and driving into people etc Judgemental and perhaps quite far from the mark but it was pretty easy for him when he knew he had by far the best car on the grid but he without doubt should have won this year, not without a fight as it was close, but he just couldnt cope with the pressure from Lewis imho Bellendimous maximous imho
