  1. I was talking about maybe trying one next with my tech (Honda specialist) at my last service, he was very direct about how rust prone they are underneath if not kept away from the salty rubbish. Make sure you get a garage queen if you're searching.
  2. After 3 goes you've given it your best and endured more than most. Time to move on and spend your energy pursuing something with a future.
  3. Looks amazing and VERY nice photos too.
  4. Except for the racket playing over it, which might be the worst noises ever assembled.
  5. If you've got The Division as a rip off of Destiny (I kind of had it pegged as a rip off of Borderlands!), then it sounds like Destiny is good contender for our next title. I didn't really love Division at first but it dig grow on me, the only thing that irritates me slightly is that the AI characters are bullet sponges, which makes it a bit tedious at times. Thanks both.
  6. Me and a couple of mates have just about done Tom Clancy's The Division to death and I'm hoping you can recommend PS4 titles where you can have groups of at least 3 co op gamers running through a genuine story mode, NOT just free for all versus shooters like COD. I'm looking for games like: - The Borderlands series - Aliens Colonial Marines - The Division What have you got? Any feedback (good or bad) on co-op GTA V or Destiny would be good. In particular if there's a good volume of co-op missions to run, I don't want it to be just a limited number of small side missions (like the coop in Red Dead Redemption). Ta, Stu
  7. Yes, they've currently got C5 on them. Garage queen!
  8. Envy do an excellent quality and value shampoo in bulk http://www.envyvaleting.com/products-info.asp If you fancy something a bit boutique, this stuff is ace, but ain't cheap http://frostcarcare.co.uk/car-care/wash/pure-shampoo-500ml-plastic/ Bathe+ is good if you want something which tops up your protection. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/gyeon-q2m-bathe-plus-cat3.html Definitely try a few and see what you fall for.
  9. An HKS oil filter came off but went OEM this time, might do K&N next time. I tend to mix it up, although I am curious to see if it has any impact at all on oil pressure.
  10. Although Stevie @ Grinspeed also carries the same quality oil, the fluids in shot are my own (not literally ) sourced mainly from our quality traders. Oil from Opie and other genuine Nissan fluids and cam covers & gaskets from Clark Motorsport.
  11. Yep, manual. Easily the tiniest shifter I've ever seen, the throw was minuscule, it wouldn't have been out of place on a rifle. Spotless underneath too. The only slightly disappointing thing was the sound, but I only heard it on tick over, not at 8K. Would I drop £70k on one if I had that lying around, not sure. But a great slice of automotive history.
  12. Owner can keep the colour and the rims for me
  13. Kinda missing the point of how cool they look when down, not up!
  14. Whilst in for a service, saw this old thing knocking about. Is it just me who is surprised by how crazy low the NSX is, made the Zed look like a Transit Why did pop up lights ever go out of fashion, cool as ****. Engine bay could benefit from some TLC. Ooooohhhhhh my. Never seen one in real life before, super cool and mint inside too - very nice piece of JDM ass. A Tokyo fresh GTT in as well for Turbo action. Interesting rims and colour...
  15. It was out 4 year anniversary on Tuesday, so I've only gone and treated her to a service. Also gave the polished plenum a spruce up whilst the cam covers were being done. All work done at Grinspeed in Leyland, cracking service as usual and it's made the 4 years of ownership much more relaxing having a quality tech to look after her. I've also got a more fun gift for her, once the bits come back from the paint shop. Pictures to follow once fitted.
  16. I think i'm in love with Imgur on desktop with ABP. Really clean and easy.
  17. I occasionally order some from the US if you fancy going halves on shipping some time.
  18. If you've been to all ports of call, what did google say then?
  19. I can't quite understand why you're not getting very far with this, despite a commendable attitude. Probably some sort of wider conspiracy involving foreign nationals. On the off chance it's not that, instead of stropping, why not try either the previously well recommended Samsung support, or possibly Google support.
  20. No probs. None of this is expensive and you will always be able to reuse it in future - except the microfibres, which will effectively be disposable for this job. Some of the very experienced detailing members will be along shortly with more/better info. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/86213-engine-bay-detailing-advice-please/
  21. I'd leave the pressure washer in it's holster if you're not confident about sealing off the bits that won't play with water. The major ingredient in cleaning the engine bay is free, which is good, because you need ****loads of it - elbow grease. Also get yourself a huge bag of cheap as chips microfibres, some gloves, a good degreaser, a small brush, possibly a toothbrush too, at least one bucket and some warm soapy water. If you really want to go at it, carb cleaner shifts almost anything but use sparingly and I would rinse and wipe the area after you've used it. You may wish to go for a short drive first and get some warmth into the filth and soften it, but you obviously don't want a HOT engine. Personally I'd then start with warm soapy water on microfibre towels to shift the loose debris. A small hand held water spray might be useful for rinsing, but you don't want to be slopping water around, just ring the microfibre out before each pass, rinse it off, repeat ad nauseum. Once you've shifted the big stuff, I'd go after the grime with dregreaser and more microfibres and the brush on the really stubborn bits. Then, if there's anything left and you're not knackered, break out the carb cleaner and yet more microfibres and perhaps even smaller things like cotton buds to really go at the nooks and crannies. Once you're happy, look at some plastic protectors to seal the trim - if you do it right once, you should only ever need to keep wiping it as part of the normal wash.
