  1. Dan would also say that the rate of fails has become a bit of an internet hobby horse, somewhat overstating the actual rate of fail. There's a really well informed piece by a specialist on this very subject out on the web, let me have a search. Edit - I think this is the one http://www.porscheinspections.com/qanda.php or this one http://www.porscheinspections.com/content/downloads/M96_M97_GTPorsche.pdf PS - Where is Dan? Is he ok? Not slipped getting out the bath?
  2. I'm fairly confident Dan's first words will be about getting an inspection, but other than that it'll be positive, especially as it's a manual, apparently without PASM. It's on 19s not 18s though, so he'll have something to hold back on
  3. Bloody snowflakes, no wonder they've gone soft if they've rejected cider.
  4. It's probably a 13 yr old boy with his mates and a bottle of cider
  5. Super useful having a video to copy instead of counting, I've pinned. Also edited title, hope you don't mind.
  6. My beloved 350Z GT manual, coupe, in Gunmetal, black leather interior and cheaper road tax. Purchased in February 2013 on a very low 33,650 miles and now up to 68,100 (rising slightly with daily driving). She's been an absolute pleasure to own and has never wanted for anything. You can see below the common Zed issues I've addressed, so you don't have to. Maintenance Work Done - replaced both cam position sensors

I’ve kept a hefty binger full of history and invoices for maintenance and modifications. For my full build you can review the PDF attached and also at http://www.350z-uk.c...the-shark-build. Service history is shown below, the PO had it as a weekender and there are some annuals missing, but he did do them to mileage. My first job was to replace everything at a major service and she’s been serviced thoroughly ever since, last one was Feb 2017, so good for a while yet. Mileage & Service Date 06,301 - 04.12.05 11,794 - 16.11.06 17,550 - 20.03.08 22,365 - 02.12.09 30,720 - 03.08.12 37,029 - 25.06.13 45,345 - 09.04.14 53,219 - 06.03.15 61,147 - 15.02.16 67,813 - 09.02.17 MOT history is attached at the bottom of this post, all historic advisories have been addressed. Current MOT runs until November 2017. There is no finance outstanding. The car is in Blackpool and available for test drive, with the correct insurance. Alternatively, I am happy to take you out for an extended drive on the Fylde. In addition I am also frequently in Sheffield and Leeds so can possibly let you view it there, no test drives without insurance though. If you have any questions or need more photos, please do get in touch. Some more photos to whet your appetite: N.B. Umbrella is not included, a Nissan/Nismo one would probably look good. The fantastic Jack Royal steering wheel and painted centre console. Some of the work done. Comes with two keys and four Michelin Pilot Super Sports on at least 5mm. Price is £7,000 but I am open to sensible offers. MOT History.pdf Zed Build.pdf
  7. Speak to Ricey @ Revolve on here. I'm sure he'll have some options.
  8. I bought a donor console, which was about £100. The sanding took me many hours, in the region of most of series two of The Man In The High Castle (you could save loads of time by just roughing the surface and keeping the mottled effect). The paint job was £120 including disassembly/reassembly of the cubby and door and button mechanism, which is a PITA. I went matt because my paint man recommended it. He's gone gloss black in his van and it traps dust for fun!
  9. Thanks mate, I'm so pleased with them. It's one of my last tidying up jobs, so rather satisfying.
  10. Carbon intake for a DE. The intake pipe itself is unmarked however, there is some breakdown of the coupler at the throttle body end, this has not broken through to the inside of the coupler but probably best to replace before fitting. Includes bot end couplers and the four stainless jubilee clips for fitting. More images can be found here £75 collected or I can post at your expense.
  11. This is the pioneer cable which is required to hook up your Pioneer headunit to a lightning equipped iPhone (iPhone 5 onward) for AppRadio apps and screen mirroring on your head unit. Info on the lead and other requirements for hooking up your iPhone can be found here - here £30 incl. delivery
  12. Just come out of my DE, centre console, cubby and gear surround - all in scratched condition. These are ready to be sanded down and painted or dipped. The red Z is just double sided taped on, not a permanent feature. Does not include the heater controls or the gauge cluster. £70 delivered UK mainland.
  13. My old plenum from before the polished one went in. Perfect for sending of for polishing or painting/powder coating whilst your stays on your daily. Does not include any fixtures. £45 delivered to U.K. mainland.
  14. My old steering wheel which came out when the re-trimmed one went in. Perfect for someone who's looking to get one trimmed, or if you have a battered one, the leather on this wheel is in good condition. Does not Include the switch covers or controls. If you come to collect I will include the airbag for free, but I'm not posting the airbag. £35 delivered to U.K. Mainland.
  15. I've been trying to get something done to the scratched centre console for ages. I've considered leather, flocking, alcantara but after a long chat with my local trimmer he reckoned that for the spend it'd require for him to do it to a standard he'd be happy with, I should go for paint and save myself a packet I'm so glad I did. The finish is absolutely flawless. It's in colourcoded Gunmetal, but with a matt finish. I'm hopeful that matt won't be too much of a dust trap, but time will tell. It's no like I don't already keep a MF within reaching distance! Didn't even scratch it fitting it I originally intended to paint these myself, but after the hours I put in sanding off the OEM texture I couldn't face making a monkey's breakfast of the paint job. I'm really glad I didn't bother, I'd have spent a chunk on paint and lacquer and still not had a proper dust free area to paint or an oven to bake. Well worth going to the pros. As usual for my painting needs, I used St Annes Bodywork Centre. If you're in this area and need paint, they are superb and well priced. Even got a little work in progress update
  16. Watch out on the pay sites for some types, there's nothing funnier than a "you need to be comfortable around people in my social class yah". But seriously, as per Mikey above, the bigger payers are more serious. Keep tweaking your profile as you read others that catch your eye. Chin up mate, you're not looking for a huge catch, your after that one big fish.
  17. As a treat I opened a fresh bottle of her favourite bubbles and ran her a bath; using warm water instead of the usual cold. Also splashed out on a new, rather excellent (if I do say so myself) fragrance to keep things interesting. Wiped down all her surfaces. Then finished by polishing her tips to a mirror shine
  18. I'm only quiet because I'm doing man maths
  19. Health and safety has gone mad these days.
  20. Had a quick google, couple of posts linking it to either low broadband speed or problem disappearing when users cleared their cache. There didn't seem to be much science behind these ideas so I don't have much faith in them TBH but it doesn't hurt to ask. - Have you been experiencing slow speeds? - Have you recently cleared down your cache?
